The charges stem from a patrol into the Black Forest of Germany in which Dusak claims the patrol got lost. Sergeant William Hutchins testifies that he ran into Dusak's patrol, and the men were laughing and not lost.
- Dr. Charles Grayson, a respected surgeon, retires and starts to give away large portions of his savings to religious causes. His immediate family launches a suit against him, declaring him incapable of handing his money. He is brought to trial and a niece, Frances Denning, acts as his defense partner. Her witnesses - some former patients - persuade the judge that since the surgeon believes his skills and success came as a result of divine intervention, he has the right to donate his money as he sees fit.
