- The man that framed Tom Lansing's father for murder is at a ghost town where no one is allowed in or out. Tom gets in by posing as an escaping outlaw with his sidekick Banty posing as the Sheriff that is chasing him. Tom learns that the boss Cramer is the man he is after but there is trouble when Banty later gets caught. Cramer holds a kangaroo court planning to kill Banty if he doesn't tell who his confederate is.
- When Sundown wins a horse race he is paid with a deed to a ranch. Arriving at the ranch he finds the Prestons already living there. They bought it from the fake land agent Taggart who then frames Sundown for murder.
- Corporal Jack Borden, of the Northwest Mounted Police, trails the man who killed his partner to New York City. The killer is an unscrupulous promoter who is selling worthless stock in a gold mine. Borden, with the help of Blanche Hall, locates the man in a Bowery dive, but he escapes and Borden tracks him back to Canada. Along the way, he discovers that Blanche and his sweetheart, Milly, are long-separated sisters and brings about a reconciliation.
- Bob Marlow is sent undercover to an Arizona town where an outlaw gang, comprised of the six Tolliver brothers, have taken over the town and terrorizing the citizens. He comes to town, posing as an Eastern dude, and, through a series of incidents manages to get rid of three of the brothers, mostly through their own ineptness. The remaining brothers decide to get-while-the-gettin'-is good, rob the bank and head for the Mexican border. But Bob isn't far behind.
- When his young son is shot, John Wellington kills the culprit and flees. But his son Johnny recovers and is raised by Sir George. Some twenty years later Johnny sets out to find Sir George's missing granddaughter. He finds her and also finds Rand, but neither of the two men realize they are father and son.
- When Clay Morgan kills Joel Potter, Marshal Manning has to arrest the brother of the girl he plans to marry. When the Morgans effect Clay's escape, the Potters take Ann Morgan as a hostage. Manning is now caught in the middle and the two sides are about to fight it out.
- Jack rides into trouble when he meets up with Bill Meeker and his outlaw gang. Rescued from the gang's clutches by Don carlos, he joins forces with Carlos and with the help of Lolita who learns of the gang's next raid, they go after the culprits.

- Intent on avenging his father's murder, Roy Neal and his sidekick Rusty find themselves in the border town of Gladstone where Neal is mistakenly arrested for the robbery of a mail truck. After escaping, Neal joins up with pretty June Bowers whose father has apparently also been murdered. Neal, suspecting two of the town's leading businessmen of being the murderers, tries to flush them out before the sheriff can lock him up again.
- John Clark (Bob Steele) and his deaf pal, Bootch Collum (Buck Connors), are trailed by U. S. Marshal Lamar Bly (Jack Rockwell), who thinks they are part of The Kootney Kid's (Earl Dwire) gang, which had just held up the stage coach. But the gang attacks the pair, and Bly joins them in the gunfight. Bly is wounded and is taken to a Mexican's camp to recover. He gives John his badge and authorizes him to take up the hunt. The Kid, unknown to John by sight, is on a ranch which he hopes to gain legal possession of as it has oil. It is really John's by right, which he does not know until informed by his sweetheart, Joan Vallon (Roberta Gale.) The Kid has taken a letter from the stage holdup which he is using to establish his identity as the rightful owner named Everett Tarkington Clark, John's real name. John is in the courtroom when the Kid makes his claim, but his protest is overruled and he is arrested on suspicion of having killed Marshal Bly. He and Bootch escape and ride to intercept the Kid who is on his way to eliminate Bly, the only person that can verify John's claim...
- The famous western fiction writer Bob Morris arrives at the Henderson ranch. He quickly realizes the hanging, runaway horses, and the shootout are fakes for his benefit. But when a real robbery takes place he thinks it's another fake.
- Doran and the Sheriff have a scheme to bring in an outlaw gang. Doran is sent to prison so he and the gang leader Mitchell can break out. This gets him into the gang but he is in trouble when it's revealed he is working with the Sheriff.
- A newly hired police chief vows to clean up a notoriously corrupt police department. When he is murdered, investigators find that there is no shortage of suspects, most of them being fellow cops.
- When his bank fails, a young man loses not only all his money but his fiancée, deserts him, too. Depressed, he joins a circus.
- An agent sent to investigate the thefts of gold bullion shipments discovers that the mine owner is behind it. He also finds out that the owner has his gang capture travelers in the desert to use as slave labor in the mine.
- Manning breaks out of prison and joins Blake's gang of outlaws. Later a paroled Muggs arrives to rejoin the gang. Muggs is the only one who knows where the stolen money is hidden and Manning is after it.
- A dying Marshal gives Tom his identification papers to Tom. After Tom arrives in town, the papers drop and are found during a fight, so Tom decides to assume the Marshal's identity. Chief Mason now sends Rattler, the Marshal's killer, to follow up by killing Tom. But when he overhears that Tom is a fake, they change their plans and go to arrest Tom for Marshal's murder.
- Tom Riley and sidekick Windy arrive at the Baker ranch where horses are being rustled. It appears the culprit is a wild horse, but Tom catches and rides the horse which leads to trouble with the real rustlers.
- Bolton has organized a feud between the Rork's and the O'Neil's. He has rustled cattle and killed a man putting the blame on Danny O'Neil. Tom Rork has found a bullet with markings on it that he hopes will clear Danny.
- Jimmy Dixon, pursued by a band of Mexicans, changes clothes with a tramp, who takes off on his horse. Four miles later, Jimmy walks onto the Double-O Ranch, from which he had been thrown off four years before by his dad, who had blamed Jimmy for something that his twin brother Duke had done. Duke, home from college, took over the ranch when Mr. Dixon became ill, and has run it into the ground. When Duke goes to the bank to repay a debt to Jimmy, he rides onto Phoenix with all of the ranch money. Jimmy, forced to pose as his brother, runs into Duke's fiancée, Jean Adams and a Phoenix girl friend, then has to fight Swede over a dancer. Jimmy learns that gambler Regan and Duke plan to steal the Double-O herd along with the cattle they're already rustled from neighboring ranches. Duke tips Regan about Jimmy, who is nearly killed. Remorseful, Duke joins Jimmy in the showdown against the rustlers and dies protecting his father.
- The Millionaire Kid is young Tommy Neville whose wealthy parents, Thomas and Gloria Neville are preparing to fight it out in divorce court.Tommy runs away from home. The private detective assigned to watch him tells Mrs. Neville he has been kidnapped. She immediately suspects her husband. Meanwhile, Tommy is selling newspapers in another city. He is attacked by a bully, and is rescued by gangster Terry Mallon and his daughter Kitty. Unaware of his identity, they take him to their beach home. Reporter Breezy Benson is sent to interview Mrs. Neville about the divorce, and is fired when she won't talk to him. He meets Kitty at the beach and is intrigued by her. He meets her father, who is curious but not suspicious as news of the alleged kidnapping has not been reported.
- Jack is looking for the man that was responsible for the death of his sister after he hired her as a school teacher. When he runs into school teacher Ann who was just hired by Corey, he soon realizes Corey is the man he is after.
- Smokey, looking for his parents' killers, trails a gang to Blaze's ranch. Posing as a wanted man he join the gang. He hopes to find a ring taken from his father that will identify the murderer.
- When Mark 'High Gear' Sherrod (Murray) looses his nerve, the race car driver takes a job driving a taxi, but when he befriends a cute reporter and the young handicapped son of a deceased driver, he attempts to return to the track.
- Tom Henderson is made Sheriff of Chico to fight Slim Walker's gang. Unknown to Tom, banker Luke Hargrave is the gang's real boss. Dad Kane is looking for the man that blinded him whom he can remember by his voice. He finds him when the gang robs the bank and Tom chases them down.
- Billy Donovan arrives looking for his sister's killer. When he hires on at the Halloran ranch where the mysterious Phantom has killed all the hands, it's not long before the Phantom shoots him.
- When the body of Wall Street broker Norman Temple is found dead in his office, the police arrest contractor James Borden for the crime on the testimony of Temple's secretary that Borden had threatened her employer over an unpaid note. Also under suspicion is Temple's Japanese valet, who quarreled with his employer the day before the murder. Tex, a detective, enters the case, following his own leads which prove the valet innocent. Tex finally deduces that Minkin, one of Temple's clerks, shot his employer when he interrupted the clerk robbing his safe. With Tex's revelation, Minkin's room is searched, the stolen bonds found and Borden is freed.
- A scientist invents a poison gas; the villain and his gang will do anything to get the formula; our hero, "Lightning Hutch", is sent to save the scientist, the scientist's beautiful daughter, and the formula.
- Mack McGregor, a ranger, is engaged to Marion, daughter of Captain Atwood, the company commander. Mack and Marion find evidence implicating her brother, Rodney, in a robbery. On her pleas, Mack refuses to pursue the criminal and is dismissed from the service. Ollie Summers and Lon Elwell, the real culprits, blackmail Rodney, who, in desperation, plans to rob his father's safe. He does not follow through, and the crime is committed by Ollie and Lon. Captain Atwood arrives with Ollie and Lon to arrest his son, but Bullet, Mack's dog, uncovers evidence proving him innocent and then helps capture the two desperadoes.
- Tom Hilton and Stub Macey are heading out to the Jergenson ranch to buy his cattle. However, Jeckyl and Sheriff Slater control the cattle market that forces the ranchers to buy at their price, and they are determined to keep the newcomers out.
- Perrin is a cowboy who comes to the aid of local Indians being swindled out of their gold. He signs on as a ranch foreman, but learns the ranch is the home of the crooks.
- Good-natured troublemaker "Cyclone" Tom Saunders is hired by a ranchers' association manager to investigate recent cattle rustling at one of their ranches and to see if a pair of nesters have anything to do with it. After discovering the nesters, pretty Betty Powell and her rickety old father, are incapable of rustling, Tom instead turns his attention to the huge, swaggering bully of a foreman, Nate Lenox.

- A sheriff tracking a gang of rustlers discovers that one of them is the brother of his fiance.
- Jim Blake rescues criminal Hare Talton and Good Samaritan Estaban Solano from dehydration and death and tries to rehabilitate Harve by taking him in as partner in his gold strike.
- A fur trapper catches another trapper trying to steal his furs. He stops the thief, but later on the furs are stolen anyway. Rin Tin Tin Jr. tracks down the thief to try to get the furs back.
- Ted Warren returns from WW1 to find that everyone thinks he was dead. The culprit is Kent who intercepted his mail, rustled the Warren cattle, took over the Warren ranch, and is now after Ted's girl friend. When Kent's henchmen fail to kill Ted, Kent shoots Ted's father and leaves him for dead. But only wounded, the plan is to have Warren appear as a ghost to get a confession from Kent.
- The Rangers are after Travis. When Tom catches three of his gang members, he gets Jimmy to go straight and lead him to Travis where he hopes to join the gang. But Tom is in trouble when Pat...
- Gary Gray arrives only to be caught up in the rustling activities of Ben Holt and his gang. First Holt brands him for rustling and then frames him for murder. Proven innocent, Gary foils the gang's stage holdup and then heads after Holt whom he now knows to be the real killer. But Holt knows he is coming and waits unseen in ambush.
- Trouble has been reported in Placerville where Tom Barton's brother is the Marshal. Arriving Tom finds a phoney Marshal in his brother's place. Learning that Clark is behind the all the trouble and that he is after the Madison stage line, Tom joins up with Mary Madison to fight Clark while he also looks for his missing brother.
- A murdered businessman's daughter is shipwrecked on a jungle island with the son of the man who killed her father. Both are threatened by a smuggling ring that uses the island as its headquarters.
- John Bromley Jr., an inveterate gambler, becomes so overwhelmed with debt that he is forced to steal from his wealthy father's safe. The night of the robbery he breaks into his father's house with Harvey Knowles, the gambler to whom he is indebted. The next morning, Bromley Sr. is found murdered and Tex, a noted criminologist, is brought in to solve the crime. At first, John Jr. is accused, then the guilt shifts to Bromley's other son Bruce, who had just been fired by his father. Also under suspicion is Frances Belmore, a woman of ill repute who had attempted to ensnare Bromley. Finally, all three are cleared when Tex discovers that the butler did it while attempting to abscond with the contents of the safe.
- Jack Carter, the brother-in-law of a young federal agent, Bob Andrews, is accused of murder, apprehended, jailed and awaiting trial. Andrews takes a leave-of-absence and traces the ownership of the planted-gun found on Carter. Clues lead him to another city where he accompanies Sheriff Williams on an emergency case where the sheriff is forced to kill a murderer. Andrews asks the sheriff to put him in jail, as the late killer, as the owner of the gun is also in the jail. Andrews has met the sheriff's pretty daughter, Joan, and plans on marrying her as soon as he clears his brother-in-law.
- Steve McKay is released from prison when accused of killing Jim Sharp, father of his sweetheart. He proceeds to track down the real murderer, Black Bart, follows him through Montana and New Mexico into Arizona. He makes Bart prisoner but he escapes and kidnaps Ruth. Steve rescues the girl and Bart meets death over a cliff. Ruth accepts Steve when his innocence is proved beyond a doubt.
- Rin-Tin-Tin brings the killer of his mistress to justice.
- Homer Crow, fired from his laboratory job at the Dunn-Wright Rubber Company, is sure that his formula for an indestructible rubber, called Durex, will be a success. Others are also, and Honer endures many obstacles, prat-falls and staged accidents while striving to protect his inventions.
