Margret Huddleston, Michael Leahy, and Lori Leahy are producing the project which will begin filming this month. Hamilton, whose credits include the Australian series, Hyde & Seek, and Showtime’s The Tudors, is repped by The Rosenzweig Group, Abrams Artists and Troika in the UK.

“Stranger Things” star Matthew Modine is joining Uzo Aduba in the independent drama “Miss Virginia,” playing Congressman Cliff Williams.
The film, to be directed by R.J. Daniel Hanna (“Shelter”), is produced by Erin O’Connor, Rob Pfaltzgraff and Maurice Black of the Moving Picture Institute, Stacey Parks of Media Sparks Entertainment, and M. Elizabeth Hughes. The movie is set to commence production this month in Los Angeles.
Inspired by a true story, “Miss Virginia” follows a struggling inner-city single mother who moves her at-risk son from his dangerous neighborhood school to a safe — but expensive — one. Douglas Fairbanks Jr. ca. 1935. Douglas Fairbanks Jr. was never as popular as his father, silent film superstar Douglas Fairbanks, who starred in one action-adventure blockbuster after another in the 1920s (The Mark of Zorro, Robin Hood, The Thief of Bagdad) and whose stardom dates back to the mid-1910s, when Fairbanks toplined a series of light, modern-day comedies in which he was cast as the embodiment of the enterprising, 20th century “all-American.” What this particular go-getter got was screen queen Mary Pickford as his wife and United Artists as his studio, which he co-founded with Pickford, D.W. Griffith, and Charles Chaplin. Now, although Jr. never had the following of Sr., he did enjoy a solid two-decade-plus movie career. In fact, he was one of the few children of major film stars – e.g., Jane Fonda, Liza Minnelli, Angelina Jolie, Michael Douglas, Jamie Lee Curtis – who had successful film careers of their own.

A live musical performance to accompany a restored print of a film of Captain Scott's tragic polar quest highlights the shattering impact of noiselessness
Real silence, by all accounts, is an unpleasant sensation. "Forty years after entering an anechoic chamber for the first time, I still remember my strange feelings of pressure, discomfort, and disorientation," said Barry Blesser, co-author of the book Spaces Speak, Are You Listening? Wildlife sound recordist Chris Watson summed up the same experience more succinctly as "hell". Against that kind of absolute quiet, Watson's recording of the "silence" of Captain Robert Falcon Scott's cabin in the Antarctic, taken while on location there with David Attenborough earlier this year, seems quite busy – despite being nothing but ambience, a gently tinted quiet.
