Transporter 3
Written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen
Directed by Olivier Megaton
France, 2008
Following another three year hiatus during which time star Jason Statham saw his international stardom continue to grow with a series of adrenaline fueled action vehicles, series caretakers Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen were at it again for a third Transporter film, this time returning protagonist Frank Martin (Statham) to his European roots following a pit stop in Miami for part 2. The former army man, now self-employed driver, is back in France, where he enjoys pleasant fishing expeditions with Inspector Tarconi. His relaxing time off is brutally disturbed one night when a car crashes into his living room, driven by an accomplice of his that Frank himself vouched for not long ago for a contract. Frank discovers Valentina (Natalya Rudakova) in the back seat, and it isn’t long before Frank finds himself caught...

Newcomer Ed Skrein is Jason Statham - sorry, Frank Martin - in this reboot of Luc Besson's Transporter franchise. Full of the fights, fast cars and clunky one-liners fans have come to expect from a series that once saw its hero deflect a rocket with a tea tray*, it works on paper, but not in practice.
Transporter Refuelled's problems lie not in the joyful silliness of watching a muscular Uber driver elaborately dislocate goons' jaws, but in the Stathlessness of it all. Though intellectual property law might call "Frank Martin" a character that exists outside of The Stath™, it's the Guy Ritchie veteran's charm, confidence and world-weary delivery that somehow make Mr Martin special, and try as he might, Skrein can't keep up.
The plot doesn't help, but then the Transporter plots never helped anyone. Take any of the previous three films and the titular gruff punch merchant will...

Olivier Megaton's Taken 2 is his second mediocre sequel to a surprise global hit produced by the ever-industrious Luc Besson. His flat feature debut Transporter 3 followed the unapologetically cartoonish excesses of Louis Letterier's 2005 Transporter 2 with one good car chase, one brief fight involving Jason Statham using his impeccable jacket as a weapon, and copious ill-advised "comic" flirtation between The Transporter and his Ukrainian model transport Valentina (Natalya Rudakova), in sequences making the bad assumption audiences came to watch Statham talk.
Not all of the blame can be assigned to Megaton. According to Besson's regular collaborator—Robert Mark Kamen, an ex-Warner Brothers contract writer turned overseas blockbuster consultant—Besson will "literally storyboard these things with the angles and with all his cinematic vision, and he'll take [...] these young directors, like Louis Letterier or [Taken director] Pierre Morel, and he says, 'Look, this is how it is. Following Xiii and the recent Nikita series, Luc Besson's Europacorp is looking to take more of its properties onto the small screen, with The Transporter next in line. A significant, though as-yet-unnamed Us TV channel is apparently already on board, and the word on the street is that Taken is also likely to get an episodic makeover at some point. The three Transporter movies to date star Jason Statham as Frank Martin (he also has a little cameo in Collateral), the driver who'll deliver anything, anywhere, for anyone, and get the job done, even if it involves wrestling in oil or being stuck on the road with Natalya Rudakova. The budget for the initial twelve-part series is estimated at $48m. Compare that to a budget of $41m for Transporter 3 alone, and it's clear that the series will have to operate on a smaller scale. At their best though,...

Blu-Ray Rating: 2.5/5.0 Chicago – If you’re a big Jason Statham fan, you can move on to another Blu-Ray review. After the pain inflicted on critics in 2008 with the trifecta of “In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale,” “Death Race,” and “Transporter 3,” you won’t read many kind words about him in this one. Yes, “The Bank Job” almost makes up for it but that film really just further proves that Jason can actually act when he chooses to and makes his films that much more intolerable when he speeds through them like “Transporter 3,” now on Blu-Ray.
The thing that blows me away about “Transporter 3” is the producer’s refusal to do Anything new or interesting. If you’ve seen the first two movies, it’s literally more of the same. It’s like a band who just remixes their own songs and tries to...

As the season marches on, 'for your consideration' ads litter the trades and various awards analysis websites. However, there aren't nearly enough campaigns for the year's worst performances.
You have your obnoxious kids (Jaden Smith in The Day The Earth Stood Still, Logan Lerman in Meet Bill). You have your touched individuals who straddle the line between functional and, ahem, 'full retard' (Sophie Okonedo in The Secret Life of Bees, Omar Benson Miller in Miracle at St. Anna, David Morse in Hounddog). You've got your guys that give 'insane' a bad name (Jason Butler Harner in Changeling, Donny Osmond in College Road Trip), and you've got your girls that give English a bad name (Ahney Her in Gran Torino, Natalya Rudakova in Transporter 3).
Oh, and then there's just about the entire cast of The Happening. (If I had to pick just one person, though, I'd go with the gardener...

Via the La Times blog, we've learned that bad-ass deliveryman Frank Martin (as played by Jason Statham), is gay. Or at least he was in Transporter 2, according to that installment's director, Louis Leterrier. Which makes us wonder if his supposed love interest in Transporter 3, red-headed Russian giantess Natalya Rudakova, is even more available than her rather spartan IMDb profile would suggest. No upcoming roles for this beauty? Come on, Hollywood, put her to work!

Transporter 3 sees Jason Statham back on action-y form - and we've got an exclusive clip of him doing what he does best, namely causing chaos while moving very fast. This time around, Frank Martin (El Statherino) has to transport Valentina (Natalya Rudakova), the daughter of a Ukrainian government official, from Marseilles to Odessa. The catch is that Martin is wearing a chemical bomb strapped to his wrist which will explode if he strays more than 75ft from his car - which puts something of a cramp on his social life. It also explains why, in this clip, he's really terribly keen to catch up with said car as its speeds away.Check out the full Transporter 3 clip below. Can you believe this man doesn't have an Oscar? Plot: Frank Martin (Jason Statham) is back, and this time, he has to transport a mysterious Ukrainian girl named Valentina (Natalya Rudakova) from Marseille to Budapest. As an added incentive, Martin has an explosive bracelet locked to his wrist which will explode if he moves more than 75 feet from his signature Audi. Review: I really liked the first Transporter film. It was a rock solid b- movie that showed Jason Statham had the chops to make it as a leading man, and I was as happy as...

Facts of interest: Olivier Megaton also directed "La Sirène rouge" (The Red Siren).
The plot: This time, Frank Martin (Jason Statham) is forced to transport the kidnapped daughter of a powerful man from Marseilles to Budapest.
Our thoughts: Jason Statham suits up as Frank Martin for the third time in “Transporter 3,” and while his fancy car is the only thing that has positively evolved over the past years, everything around it just got worse. Directed by Olivier Megaton, this third installment takes way too many wrong turns, resulting in an unnecessary mess of an action flick that’s neither worth your time nor money.

Jason Statham as Frank Martin is probably the coolest, sexiest chauffeur in recent history, but no amount of stubble, abs or Audi adventures can save the recent installment of Transporter 3. Maybe it was the rising gas prices that left little money to upholster much of a story or hire a decent female lead. My bet is on the latter, because the Transporter series has never needed much of a plot, and Natalya Rudakova as Statham's companion Valentina is absolutely horrible - almost unbearable, in fact. While the first Transporter was a surprise hit that earned Statham some suave cred on both physical and vehicular fronts, the second favored the car more than Statham's physique. This time around, director Olivier Megaton pulls no punches in pulling off Statham's shirt and tilts the scales in the opposite direction, focusing on the speed of sex over the automobile. I think we can...

The ideal situation for any action flick is to combine an interesting and engaging story with exciting action sequences. Transporter 3, where Jason Statham once again portrays delivery-man-for-hire Frank Martin, will no doubt fail to engage you with an interesting story, much like the first two flicks in the series, but it also fails to deliver fun action, something the first ones were at least mildly able to accomplish. In this outing, Frank seems content on spending the rest of his days fishing rather than delivering, but is forced to complete a job after a driver he recommended for the task winds up dead. Frank must transport Valentina (Natalya Rudakova), the daughter of Ukrainian Prime Minister Leonid Vasilev (Jeroen Krabbé) who has been kidnapped to force her father into signing papers that would allow a corporation to dump toxic waste in the country. The catch this time, or rather the gimmick,...

Frank Martin (Jason Statham) is back. Has he still got the goods? This time out, he's not only driving his famous black Audi, but he's literally bound to it by an explosive wrist bracelet. If he moves out of range, kaboom! Luckily, he's got the attractive Natalya Rudakova to keep him company for the lengthy ride.
Is Martin's latest ride worth a trip to the movies? Find out in our Transporter 3 review.

Photo: Lionsgate To call Transporter 3 a bad movie seems like one of those "Duh!" statements, but considering I mildly enjoyed the first two installments (the second one more than the first) and expected an equally entertaining ride the third time around the fact Transporter 3 was this bad comes as more of a surprise than a "Duh!" and that's a shame. We first met Frank Martin (Jason Statham) as a criminal transporter back in 2002 when he was escorting half-assed bank robbers and sexy ladies in duffle bags in his trunk. His "rules" of the road became his signature along with impressive car chases and fight scenes that required vast amounts of disrobing considering his jacket, shirt and tie all became useful weapons in battle. The ridiculous nature of the film was forgiven quite simply because there was no attempt to be serious,...

Transporter 3by Eric Sloss, Writer Some movies you clearly have to leave your brain at the door before seeing them. There are things that are shown in these movies that are not humanly possible or probable for that matter. The Bond franchise is a good example of this type of filmmaking. The franchise more than makes up for it with a clever storylines, a strong male lead, beautiful women, exotic locales and memorable villains. The Transporter series can be looked upon in the same way. Fans have flocked to these movies mainly because of the ridiculous stunts and the charming Jason Statham. “Transporter 3” will clearly test the patience of even the most ardent of supporters. Jason Statham is back as Frank Martin. Martin transports cargo, whether it be human or otherwise, for a fee. He has certain rules that he follows. He doesn’t look to what he is transporting,...

Transporter 3 Directed by: Olivier Megaton Cast: Jason Statham, Natalya Rudakova, Robert Knepper Running Time: 1 hr 40 mins Rating: PG-13 Plot: Personal driver Frank Martin (Statham) is hired to transport a Ukrainian minister's daughter (Rudakova) who has been kidnapped by an evil American (Knepper) that is attempting to bribe the European country with toxic waste. However, an explosive device attached to Martin restricts him from being any more than 75 feet away from his car. Who’s It For? People who don't own DVD players and a type of membership to some form of movie rental business. Seriously, if you're really revved up for Transporter action, just rent the previous two. Expectations: I'm always down for some butt kicking, especially when Jason Statham's involved. Fully aware of the reality-defying thrills in the trilogy's previous two films, I...

Jason Statham is back as Frank Martin in Transporter 3 and this time his package is freckle-faced Valentina, (first time actress Natalya Rudakova) kidnapped daughter of a Ukranian government official. After another transporter crashes his car through Frank’s (Statham) apartment with Valentina in tow, and gets himself killed, Frank must take over for him and deliver the package. You really wouldn’t think they’d hire him again, would you? Our reluctant hero doesn’t really have a choice in the matter, as he’s wearing a bracelet that explodes when he gets too far from the car. We just got back from the Transporter 3 press conference with the stars of the new film, including everyone’s favorite lip-licking criminal Robert Knepper.

Families heading to the multiplexes post-turkey this Thanksgiving can unbutton those tight belts in the dark after choosing from an eclectic mix of hard-hitting action, sweeping epics and prickly romance.
"Australia"
Never one to be rushed, director Baz Luhrmann has taken seven years since putting his so-called "red curtain trilogy" to bed before delivering this, the first installment in his announced trilogy of epics. Once more showcasing his fascination with great melodrama, old-school villainy and larger-than-life love stories, Luhrmann has reinvented himself without really reinventing himself with this grandiose romance set against the backdrop of a transforming nation. Returning muse Nicole Kidman stars as Sarah Ashley, a freshly widowed cattlewoman who falls in love with a rugged ranch hand named Drover (Hugh Jackman), as the two drive 1500 head of cattle to Darwin. Unfortunately, they arrive just in time to see the Japanese bombers appear on the horizon.

I'm not one to have crushes on fair-skinned women, but there is something about the freckled Natalya Rudakova that just distracts my attention. There is something hot about her.
Take for instance this recent extended clip from Transporter 3. While the action should be taking up all my focus, I can't help but check out Natalya every time the camera flashes to her. Eh, maybe it's just me.

In what is a modern retelling of the Hollywood legend of Lana Turner being discovered at Schwab's on Hollywood & Vine, Natalya Rudakova, the femme fatale in the upcoming Transporter 3 with Jason Statham, was discovered on the street going to work at a hair salon in New York by the film's writer Luc Besson.
Besson is no stranger to Russian beauties - He was once married to the then 22-year-old Milla Jovovich. Of his new (presumably) Russian find, he says:
"She just passed by me and I noticed her freckles and blue eyes. I was with my assistant and I said, 'Are you seeing this?' Jason Statham's new love interest in Transporter 3, Natalya Rudakova, was literally plucked from obscurity on the streets of New York.
The film's writer Luc Besson spotted the freckle-faced beauty as she hurried to work at a hair salon - and offered to train her for the third Transporter film.
He recalls, "She just passed by me and I noticed her freckles and blue eyes. I was with my assistant and I said, 'Are you seeing this?'
"Of course, if I said to her, 'Hey, I'm Luc Besson,' she'd probably run, so my assistant asked me if she should ask her if she's a model or something, so she'd feel more comfortable.
"So I proposed to her if she wanted to try to act and my assistant and I went back to Paris and we gave her some 25 lessons. We prepped her for about six months and then we brought her to Paris to verify if she was ready or not.
"We had a couple of other girls auditioning to frighten her, but, honestly, she was very good on the screentest, so we hired her."...

Photo: Lionsgate Lionsgate has just sent over 10 new looks at Jason Statham and red-head hottie Natalya Rudakova in Transporter 3 (11/26) as well as another two from The Spirit (12/25) featuring looks at Gabriel Macht stars as "The Spirit" and Eva Mendes as "Sand Saref". The Spirit is directed by Frank Miller (Sin City) and looks downright awful if you ask me. I have never been so turned off by so many trailers for one film in my life even though Lionsgate did do a decent job with their latest trailer, but to steal a popular phrase, you can't put lipstick on a pig. However, for those of you still interested you can check out a pair of new pics from the film right here. The pic stars Macht as "The Spirit...

In anticipation of "Transporter 3" theatrical release, Lionsgate Films' action movie from the "The Transporter" franchise has just got its behind-the-scene video released. Giving a minute of the film's snippets as well as the on-set shooting, the video also contains a commentary from leading actor Jason Statham who discusses about his character, Frank Martin.
Though containing many footage that have been outed through the trailers, this video still manages to bring fresh footage from the film. It also brings forth more of the action and fighting sequences as well as a brief glimpse into the romance Martin will get in this third "Transporter" movie. The video which can be seen below comes out in courtesy of Ugo.

After a teaser and an international teaser were let out previously, "Transporter 3" has finally got its full trailer to be watched by fans and movie lovers alike. Considerably longer and more revealing than the pair of teasers, the new video highlights more on the action sequences from the fighting acts done by Jason Statham against the baddies to the extreme car chasing sequences.
The video also lets out who and what Frank Martin, played by Statham, has to deal with this time. Some of the clips shown are elaboration to the previous snippets outed by the teasers, while many of the clips put on the trailer are fresh ones and they help to give out more taste of the high-octane actions the movie is offering and what Martin's new job is.

A brand-new trailer for Olivier Megaton's upcoming action spectacle "Transporter 3" has just debuted online. Jason Statham reprises his role as Frank Martin, the crazy transporter who goes after the world's most ruthless criminals. Robert Knepper, Natalya Rudakova and François Berléand star.
Corey Yuen's first "Transporter" pulled $25.2 million here in the U.S., while Louis Leterrier's sequel "Transporter 2" brought in $43 million. It will be interestning to see how this third installment matches up against its predecessor. I say it will easily top those amounts.
Now check out this explosive trailer just below. "Transporter 3" hits theaters Nov. 26, 2008. Enjoy.
