iHeartMedia is launching a podcast network dedicated to featuring LGBTQ+ voices with stars like JoJo Siwa, Rosie O’Donnell, Laverne Cox, Bowen Yang, Raven-Symoné, Lance Bass and more.
Called Outspoken, the network will be executive produced by the writer and activist Raquel Willis and iHeartMedia’s creative development and marketing director, Jay Brunson. Siwa will executive produce and host her own show, as well as develop a slate of programming specifically for the network.
Willis is also developing two original shows for the network: The first will feature the perspectives of LGBTQ+ youth living in battleground states for legislation targeting queer people, while the second will focus on Willis’ work on violence targeting trans women that expands on her work as the former executive editor of Out magazine.

“Los Espookys,” HBO’s Spanish-language comedy series, has been canceled after two seasons at the network, IndieWire has confirmed.
Created by Julio Torres, Ana Fabrega, and Fred Armisen, “Los Espookys” focused on a group of aimless friends who turn their love of the horror genre into a business where they trick people into thinking the supernatural is real. All three co-creators starred in the series along with Bernardo Velasco and Cassandra Ciangherotti as the Espookys. The show initially premiered in 2019, then went on a pandemic-induced, three-year hiatus before premiering its second season this past September.
“We are thrilled we could deliver the unique and hilarious second season of ‘Los Espookys’ to viewers finally, more than three years after the series premiere, due to pandemic delays,” HBO said in a statement. “We thank Julio, Ana and Fred for this imaginative and delightfully bizarre world they created. We are not currently planning on a third season,...

Fox will continue to build its Bento Box Entertainment portfolio with three animated movies exclusive to Tubi, its ad-supported streaming service.
Revealed as part of the network’s Upfronts presentation on Monday, Fox shared that Bento Box’s Pastacolypse, Millenial Hunter and Big Bruh will come to Tubi during the upcoming season. The trio of original movies will add to the handful of Bento Box titles already under Fox, including Bob’s Burgers, Duncanville, The Great North and Housebroken – a number of which will return for the broadcaster’s 2022-2023 season.
The first of the original animated movie trio for Tubi is Pastacolypse from Aqua Teen Hunger Force co-creator Matthew Maiellaro. Pastacolypse is a father-daughter survivalist horror comedy, cooked up from the most ludicrous premise on Earth: a billionaire celebrity chef seeks revenge on all mankind when a global ban on gluten destroys his life. There was an argument to be made that the now-mononymous comedy star Ziwe was among the best television performers of 2020 — even though her existing outside television was what had made her a star. Ziwe’s Instagram Live series, in which she delivered startlingly direct interviews with internet stars and comedian peers about race, made fascinating use of the platform’s split-screen technology. On the screen’s bottom half, the guest squirmed and dissembled; Ziwe, eyes glinting in triumph as she went in for the kill, was on top. The magic of her performance lay in the degree to which Ziwe shifted her energy — she could go, in a moment, from benevolently trying to work out issues together with her guest to exposing weaknesses in their thinking, and back again.
Her act had a kinetic, unrehearsed energy that both seemed perfectly unified with its format and seemed to demand a promotion.
