A tall, wavy-haired US actor with a deep, resonant voice, Clancy Brown has proven himself a versatile performer with first-class contributions to theatre, feature films, television series and even animation.
Clarence J. Brown III was born in 1959 in Urbana, Ohio, to Joyce Helen (Eldridge), a concert pianist, conductor, and composer, and Clarence J. "Bud" Brown, Jr., who helped manage the Brown Publishing Company, the family-owned newspaper started by Clancy's grandfather, Clarence J. Brown. Clancy's father and grandfather were also Republican congressmen from the same Ohio district, and Clancy spent much of his youth in close proximity to Washington, D.C. He plied his dramatic talents in the Chicago theatre scene before moving onto feature film with a sinister debut performance bullying Sean Penn inside a youth reformatory in Bad Boys (1983). He portrayed Viktor the Monster in the unusual spin on the classic Frankenstein story in The Bride (1985), before scoring one of his best roles to date as the evil Kurgan hunting fellow immortals Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery across four centuries of time in Highlander (1986).
Brown played a corrupt American soldier in the Walter Hill-directed hyper-violent action film Extreme Prejudice (1987), another deranged killer in Shoot to Kill (1988) and a brutal prison guard, who eventually somewhat "befriends" wrongfully convicted banker Tim Robbins, in the moving The Shawshank Redemption (1994). His superb vocal talents were in demand, and he contributed voices to animated series, including Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm (1995), Street Sharks (1994), Gargoyles (1994) and Superman: The Animated Series (1996). Brown then landed two more plum roles, one as a "tough-as-nails" drill sergeant in the science fiction thriller Starship Troopers (1997), and the other alongside Robin Williams in the Disney comedy Flubber (1997).
The video gaming industry took notice of Clancy's vocal abilities, too, and he has contributed voices to several top selling video games, including Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex (2001), Lands of Lore III (1999), Star Wars: Bounty Hunter (2002) and Crash Nitro Kart (2003). His voice is also the character of cranky crustacean Mr. Eugene H. Krabs in the highly successful SpongeBob SquarePants (1999) animated series and films, and he contributed voices to The Batman (2004), Jackie Chan Adventures (2000) and Justice League (2001) animated series. A popular and friendly personality, Clancy Brown continues to remain busy both through his vocal and acting talents in Hollywood.- Actress

Roger Joseph Ebert was the all-time best-known, most successful movie critic in cinema history, when one thinks of his establishing a rapport with both serious cineastes and the movie-going public and reaching more movie fans via television and print than any other critic. He became the first and only movie critic to win a Pulitzer Prize (it would be 28 years before another film critic, Stephen Hunter, would win journalism's top tchotchke). His opinions likely were relied on by more movie-goers than any other critic in cinema history, making Roger Ebert the gold standard for film criticism.
Ebert was born in Urbana, Illinois, to Annabel (Stumm), a bookkeeper, and Walter Harry Ebert, an electrician. He was married to Chaz Ebert. Roger Ebert died on April 4, 2013, in Chicago, Illinois.- Writer

For more than twelve years, Ryan E. Heppe has been writing, producing, editing and directing feature motion pictures, film shorts, industrial and educational videos, commercials and documentaries. Ryan began his sojourn into the world of entertainment at a small PBS affiliate in east central Illinois where he spent several years creatively collaborating with the permanent staff and involving himself with everything from set design and construction to directing documentaries and live television broadcasts.
In early 1999, Ryan packed his bags and moved west to Los Angeles, California where he immediately snagged an internship with legendary movie producer David Foster (The Getaway (1972), The Mask of Zorro (1998), Short Circuit (1986)) at his production company. In only a few short months, Ryan climbed his way to the coveted position of Head of Development and became creatively involved with Foster's current productions at the time: Collateral Damage (2002) starring Arnold Schwarzenegger for Warner Bros., Hart's War (2002) starring Bruce Willis and Colin Farrell for MGM, and The Core (2003) starring Aaron Eckhart and Hilary Swank for Paramount. During production on The Core, Ryan pulled double-duty by not only working with David Foster, but also working with original screenwriter and co-producer Cooper Layne and co-producer Sean Bailey.
In late 2003, Ryan left David Foster Productions as an employee and began to find and develop his own material. He is currently producing a remake of the slasher film Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984); an independent werewolf film currently titled Legacy; a remake of the 80's favorite Short Circuit (1986); and numerous other projects in various stages of development.
Ryan E. Heppe, a native of Central Illinois, grew up with ambitions of becoming a motion picture director like his idols Wes Craven (The Hills Have Eyes (1977), A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)) and the late Stanley Kubrick (2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), The Shining (1980)). After graduating from Heritage High School, he spent several years working in television production before heading to California. He resides in Los Angeles where he can often be seen screaming his head off for the L.A. Dodgers or quietly enjoying The Barber of Seville at the L.A. Opera House. Heppe is an avid bowler; enjoys a tasty bottle of wine; and spends as much time as he possibly can with his beautiful wife.- Editorial Department

Joseph Hampton was born in Urbana, Illinois, USA. Joseph is a writer and producer, known for House of Payne (2006), Madea's Family Reunion (2006) and Lazaro Out Loud.- Born October 21, 1960, Olive L. Sullivan grew up in the small Midwestern town of Pittsburg, Kansas, the daughter of a college professor and a mother passionately interested in the creative process. Inevitably, the environment thus engendered was an eccentric one, where ideas were encouraged, no matter how unrealistic, and brainstorming was the family hobby.
From her earliest memories, Olive has been a writer and storyteller. When she was very small, she would tell stories to be illustrated by her mother, and she and her brother, film producer Mark K. Sullivan, made short animated movies which Olive illustrated and Mark directed. In high school, Olive's parents built an airplane in the family living room, which left her a lot of time to pursue her own interests as an amateur naturalist and writer. It was at about this time that a teacher, Elaine Bryant, encouraged her to focus on writing as a career. In college, Olive worked for the Pittsburg State University yearbook and student newspaper, both award-winning publications. The magazine-style Kanza yearbook, during her tenure as managing editor, won its first ever Pacemaker Award, the most prestigious in collegiate journalism at that time. Following graduation, Olive headed to Colorado, where she married and spent several years trying to combine study for a master's degree with freelance writing and child-raising. She read Shakespearean criticism to the baby and wrote poetry at night when everyone had gone to bed. Single again, Sullivan began teaching college writing classes and, after a stint in New Mexico, returned to Kansas. She produced a television morning show, then spent eight years as a newspaper reporter, even creating and editing a Spanish-language monthly for two years before turning to a full-time freelance career which has included ghost-writing, writing award-winning play and film scripts, publishing poetry and non-fiction articles and copy-editing everything from fiction to a mathematics dissertation.
Her breakthrough occurred as she was sitting at her newspaper desk one day despairing over the corporatization of the small town community paper. The phone rang and a local multi-millionaire asked her to write a book for him and said there were more projects to come after that one. She promptly quit her job, set up a home office, and has yet to look back. The next breakthrough occurred after she met a producer from Los Angeles at a film festival where her first movie, "Cleveland in My Dreams" was awarded Best Comedy. One day, sitting at her desk at home despairing of ever getting the dog hair off the sofa, the phone rang and the producer asked her to consider working on the script for a feature now in development. Stay tuned... Olive's writing career is enhanced by the assistance of her dog, Romeo, who keeps her feet warm while she works in her study, her son Jacob, who gives her marketing advice, and her son Frank, who gives critiques and runs errands and knows what "Leave me alone, I'm on deadline," means. Olive is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, the Missouri Writers Guild, the Kansas City Writers, the Joplin Writers Guild, and the First Street Writers. She is a former member of the Kansas Press Association and the National Endowment for the Humanities Humanities Inclusion Project. In addition to writing, Olive is an illustrator and artist, a member of the Midwest Clay Artists, and is in the process of restoring a 100-year-old home. Olive has also traveled, studying at two different colleges in England, living in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and Newfoundland, Canada, and studying Spanish at a language institute in San Jose, Costa Rica. She wishes potential employers to know her passport is up to date, and her toothbrush is packed. - Editorial Department
