This sociological study, taken from a story by Arthur V. Train, is a rare treat in some respects. It pictures something deeper than mere motion and change of scenes, and is acted with spirit by a clever cast. It portrays, very effectively, how an Italian woman accepts the imputation of shame in order to save her husband's life. The settings and characterizations are excellent. A good release. - The Moving Picture World, July 11, 1914
