In this number Wallace Reid plays the part of a Canadian woodsman, almost an outlaw and yet possessing strong instincts for doing the right thing. There is plenty of action, but it seemed to be scattering and somewhat involved. It is not handled in the most convincing way. - The Moving Picture World, May 30, 1914
