- TriviaDespite the etiquette of the time, prohibiting it, men are seen wearing their hats on indoors.
- GoofsSupposedly taking place circa 1931, the film makes no attempt at period style or decor and sinks into a sea of anachronisms. All the women's clothes and hair styles as well as musical arrangements are contemporary 1947; the automobiles, though pre-war, are also of a much later vintage, mostly late 1930s and early 1940s.

descent b movie
He is a lingerie salesman who, because he is such a softie, has no success at all with the ladies who don't like him at all but who all fall for the bad gangster types.
By accident, one of the gangsters is killed by a competitor and his body is dumped in his apartment.
Now everyone thinks that the seller is a new crime boss and he is assisted by his lawyer friend who has never won a case.
One thing is certain: beautiful women fall for the wrong types, it is exaggerated here, but there is some truth in it.
Furthermore, it is an amusing comedy with a nicely playing Stuart Erwin and a stunning lady Anne Gwynne who at first doesn't want to know anything about him but (unbelievably) still falls for him at the moment supreme (oh well, there has to be a happy ending, right? ) .
