What’s the saying? Oh yeah… third times the charm and the Resident Evil series is no exception. For our third outing we’re here to explore the aftermath of the apocalypse with Resident Evil: Extinction (watch it Here). This one is pretty divisive with the consensus being some people, like myself, loved this film while others felt this was the beginning of the downward slope of sequels of the franchise. Hear me out as to why I sing its praises. For one, it tells a cohesive story and gives us a side of Alice that we’ve been dying to see. We get more new characters that bring gravitas to the story as well as a fully fleshed out villain and it’s a lot of fun. Plus, its pays homage to The Road Warrior in the best way. So, let’s hit up the Sand Dunes of Vegas,...

Cheaters in Call of Duty need a double-check from developers. Despite many attempts to ward off the evil in the game, appears like no trick is working out against malevolent players. Another instance has surfaced on the internet where one hacker ruined the game entirely. Interestingly, that malicious user didn’t even use a gun to wreak havoc in a cross-play-off lobby.
An anti-cheat system dubbed Ricochet is been in place for months now, however, it appears like the systems are still learning to distinguish the innocent from malevolent ones. In their last crackdown, the Ricochet team said they had banned 6,000 hackers from the game. Still, the problem persists and is spreading like wildfire.

Cheaters in Call of Duty have become such a topic of debate, the subject has now reached certain celebrities. Recently, the conversation made it to The Joe Rogan Experience, a podcast hosted by American comedian and UFC color commentator Joe Rogan.
Over the years, the show has become immensely popular, with millions of monthly listeners on Spotify.
Recent patches in MW3 and Warzone were supposed to get rid of these cheaters, however, the issue persists and they continue to plague the game. Players have urged the devs to take strict actions against hackers, but all a user is left with is a feeling of being unheard.

Call of Duty is a game that has always been susceptible to cheating and has been a bone of contention with fans for years. There are still those hardcore fans of the franchise who enjoy the online multiplayer of Modern Warfare and Warzone and find that the gaming experience is tarnished by those who use unscrupulous methods to win.
This has been highlighted by thousands of players and developers Activision Blizzard addressed this by introducing their anti-cheat initiative for PC – Ricochet. With this came promises of a multi-faceted approach to cheating, enhanced investigation processes to root out cheating and updates to strengthen account security. It all sounded like this was a step in the right direction.

Someone has got to keep these cheaters in check or Call of Duty is finished. No one would want to play a game full of cheaters and CoD: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are already plagued with hackers taking over the game. Recently, the Ricochet Anti-Cheat team updated the fans that they’ve taken down 6,000 cheaters in the game, appears like they found another way to avoid getting tagged.
Ricochet Anti-Cheat system monitors and identifies unethical practices happening in the game and bars the accounts involved from entering servers. It uses data collection and machine learning to tackle cheaters. One of its features dubbed Damage Shield can identify game data manipulation in real time.

A lot of really fun movies from the eighties and nineties are tough to get decent copies of. While some of the stories have happy endings, other films seem all but doomed to languish until a niche label like Arrow Video, Kino Lorber, or Unearthed Films gives them the TLC they deserve. So, what’s the title we’re worried is Gone Forever here at JoBlo? A cool little thriller (which I previously wrote up for Best Movie You Never Saw) from 1991 called Ricochet has a pretty impressive pedigree. The movie stars Denzel Washington, John Lithgow, Ice-t, Kevin Pollack and The Bionic Woman herself, Lindsay Wagner, while Highlander’s Russell Mulcahy directs it, is produced by Joel Silver, and is written by Die Hard’s Steven E De Souza. In fact, Ricochet takes place in the same universe as Die Hard, with Mary Ellen Trainor reprising her role as snoopy TV reporter Gale Wallens.

Hackers in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are having fun flying helicopters to outer space, getting grenade launcher kills from sniping range, and doing what not to ruin the game’s experience. That doesn’t mean the CoD team is just sitting back, they are observing too. Since the introduction of the game’s anti-cheat system, Ricochet, they have barred a large number of accounts from the game using hacker mods.
Last year, they instituted a concept called “splat.” As the name suggests, it can flatten a player on the ground, giving it a fine coat of red, something that Splatoon players will find amusing. What the system does is cut a player’s parachute upon detecting them using a hacked version of the game. What follows isn’t that hard to imagine.

Battle Royale games were popularized following the release of PlayerUnknown’s BattleGrounds and Fortnite, and then Call of Duty: Warzone came. As exciting as it can be, there is always someone trying to ruin the experience of the masses for their own fun.
Players using hacker mods have plagued video games for quite some time now, and battle royale appears to be among their favorite genres. From wall hacks to aimbots, these fancy users can kill the mood and gaming spirit of any player playing legitimately. Such a case surfaced on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) when a hacker killed the opponent from a sniping range using a grenade launcher.

Call of Duty Warzone and Activision/Blizzard have enormous difficulty with cheaters. The game is crawling with these users who just want to make things difficult for every player. After many mass banning of accounts every couple of months, the hackers keep resurging, and the cheaters flood the game again. Warzone uses the Ricochet anti-cheat system, but this has proven not to be useful in the long term. Thanks to new videos posted on X and TikTok, some cheaters are getting out of hand in Warzone.

One of the most concurrent problems in first-person shooters for PC is the cheaters. Call of Duty Warzone has a severe issue with this. Through the years, the team has banned millions of accounts for using cheats or hacks in multiplayer matches. Activision has now confirmed that the anti-cheat system for Warzone is having some issues, so the cheaters and hackers are back. Players are recommending staying out of the game until Ricochet, when the anti-cheat system will be restored to normal, especially in ranked matches.

Activision has a very massive cheater and hacker problem in Warzone. The studio has already banned millions of accounts over the years without a permanent solution. For the PC version of the game, the Ricochet anti-cheat system is used to avoid this kind of difficulty.

Months ago, we here at JoBlo started writing about an issue near and dear to the hearts of film fanatics everywhere – the resurgence of physical media. After being shocked by how difficult it was to find the Ron Howard movie Cocoon, I decided to make a list of 10 movies that were difficult to find, but the comments on the article clued me into the fact that the issue of out-of-print classics is far more widespread than I assumed. Last week, I did an article about how movies like The Cannonball Run and Dogma are missing, and in that vein, here are five more cult classics that are surprisingly tough to find.
Ricochet:
This 1992 action film was an early attempt to turn Denzel Washington into an action star. Despite stylish direction by Russell Mulcahy and an unforgettable turn by John Lithgow as the movie’s villain, it was only a modest success.

Denzel Washington’s 2010 action thriller The Book Of Eli is heading to the small screen, with John Boyega take the lead as a younger Denzel.
Much like Liam Neeson, Denzel Washington has become something of an action hero in the latter stages of his career. While he has previously appeared in films like Ricochet and Crimson Tide, it wasn’t until he played John Creasy in Tony Scott’s brutal 2004 revenge film Man On Fire that we really got to see him off some bad guys in a variety of inventive ways.
Since then of course, he has become synonymous with vigilante justice, dishing out karmic vengeance in three Equalizer films to date. But in 2010, he played a different kind of action hero in The Book Of Eli, a post apocalyptic thriller in which he plays a drifter intent on delivering a sacred book to safety in the West Coast of the United States.

A few years ago, director Oliver Harper made a documentary called In Search of the Last Action Heroes, which was described as “a comprehensive retrospective of the ’80s and ’90s action film genre.” One of the people interviewed for that documentary was screenwriter Steven E. de Souza, who was a major contributor to the action genre in those decades, working on the likes of 48 Hrs., Commando, The Running Man, Die Hard, Die Hard 2, Hudson Hawk, Ricochet, Beverly Hills Cop III, and Street Fighter, among others… with one of the others being the much-maligned Sylvester Stallone comic book movie Judge Dredd. In a moment that didn’t make it into the final cut of In Search of the Last Action Heroes, de Souza discussed the issues that Judge Dredd ran into, including bad marketing and a struggle to secure an R rating. Harper has been kind enough to share that deleted scene online,...

One of my favorite underground bands over the past few years is Iress, a Los Angeles-based doomgaze band that’s reminiscent of Alice in Chains with a heavy dose of 90s grunge.

NBC Sports this week made the not-too-surprising announcement that much of its Beijing Olympics team would be covering next month’s Winter Games from afar, in Stamford, Ct, as the Covid pandemic once again disrupts the event.
But the international outcry over human rights abuses in China, leading to a U.S. diplomatic boycott, has put extra scrutiny on how the network covers the Games, starting with the telecast of the opening ceremonies on February 4, with Mike Tirico hosting from Beijing and Today‘s Savannah Guthrie in the states.
Human rights groups already have called on NBC and other broadcasters to drop plans to carry the Games, and while that was never a likely prospect, network executives said this week they will add two China experts: Andy Browne, former China editor at the Wall Street Journal and now editorial director of Bloomberg New Economy, as well as Jing Tsu, a...

Media Luna New Films has acquired worldwide rights to Rodrigo Fiallega’s gritty Mexican drama “Ricochet,” whose star Martijn Kuiper won best actor Sunday at the Morelia Film Festival. Media Luna will present the film to buyers at the American Film Market, which starts Monday.
In “Ricochet,” quiet loner Martijn leads a hermit’s life on the outskirts of the city after his son was murdered at the local festival. Estranged from his wife and diagnosed with a terminal disease, he seems to live in a past that’s irretrievably gone – until the day he finds out that his son’s murderer will be released from jail, setting him on the trail of revenge that is beyond redemption.

Three amateur cooks will be delivered a box of ingredients, from which they must create a three-course meal to impress a singleton. The singleton will taste the food and chose one of three cooks to date.
Hat Trick Productions-produced Dinner Dates features a participant choosing three menus and blind-dating the three amateur cooks behind the meals. The format is...

Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn made their mark together as the hosts of the reality competition TV series “Project Runway.” The Emmy-winning pair left that show to preside over another hunt for the next hot designer, “Making the Cut.” This globe-trotting series, which debuts in March on Amazon Prime Video, takes contestants to the design capitals of the world as they compete to stay in the competition.
Amazon Prime Video has also cornered the market on the remakes of Agatha Christie‘s classic mystery novels. The adaptation of her one-off novel, “The Pale Horse,” starts to stream on Amazon Prime mid month after debuting on the BBC at Christmas.
Below is the full schedule of everything that is coming to Amazon Prime Video in March 2020. Unlike Netflix, Amazon does not disclose the shows and movies leaving the service in any given month.

Here's everything coming to Amazon Prime instant video in March 2020!
For its new releases in March 2020, Amazon Prime is enlisting help from some horror friends.
Yes, horror is the name of the game this month with Night of the Living Dead (albeit the 2007 version), The Crazies, and The Descent all arriving on March 1. And if that weren't enough, Pet Sematary comes a little later on on May 19. Look at Church the cat in that thumbnail image. How could you not want to watch his spooky adventures?
The Amazon original offerings are typically sparse for March 2020 but still pack some punch. Italian import ZeroZeroZero stars Gabriel Byrne and arrives on May 6. Then British import Agatha Christie's The Pale Horse comes a little later on March 13.
For what it's worth, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot debuts on March 13 so it's not all horror and all European TV all the time.

We’ve already touched base on the Netflix titles heading our way next month, but what about Amazon Prime?
Though the former is widely considered to be the undisputed heavyweight of the online streaming world, it didn’t take long for Prime to become a tantalizing prospect, no thanks to kick-ass original series like The Expanse, The Boys and The Man in the High Castle.
The real issue for the end consumer is juggling all those subscriptions, particularly now that Disney+ is live across North America (March 24th for those in the UK). Be that as it may, as February nears its end, Amazon has detailed all of the content bound for Prime in March 2020.
Among the new additions are a host of big-name horror films, including Neil Marshall’s The Descent and its creepy sequel. Best of all? Pet Sematary, the reimagining of Stephen King’s literary developed by Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer.

We have a list of the new Hulu movies and shows arriving in March 2020.
March sees the beginning of one of TV's more interesting experiment in 2020. Hulu's new releases for March 2020 are highlighted by the launch of the torturously-named "FX on Hulu" in which certain FX shows will premiere exclusively on Hulu.
Yes, when Disney set out up the entertainment industry, it gained more brands than it knew what to do with. And that's how you get stuff like FX on Hulu. The streaming/cable hybrid begins in earnest in March with two series, Alex Garland's sci-fi Devs and the weird Lil Dickey comedy Dave. More FX on Hulu is set to arrive in April as well.
Hulu's only $5.99/month now, grab the deal here!

Welcome to this week’s Monday Night Raw review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have more build to the Royal Rumble show. This show will probably suck/it does a bit, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t have a good time/yes it does. Okay, this might be great/suck ass.
Match #1: Drew McIntyre def. Randy Orton and Aj Styles – Triple Threat Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
If running through two former champions and a whole conga line over the last couple weeks wasn’t any indication, the guy to watch in 2020 might just be Drew McIntyre. The former Nxt Champion — and future WWE Champion? — took a great leap forward on Raw when he forced his way into a planned match between Randy Orton and Aj Styles, reconfigured it on the spot into a Triple Threat, and earned...

Warner Bros. International Television Production indie Ricochet is adapting the group’s German format Cash For Trash into a BBC One show.
Ricochet has been commissioned to make 30-part daytime series The Bidding Room, in which expert dealers compete to buy items presented to them by members of the public.
Hosted by Chariots of Fire actor Nigel Havers, the show is based on Bares für Rares (Cash For Trash), which was first made for Germany’s Zdf in 2015 by Warner Bros. International Television Production Germany.
The format is the biggest daytime factual entertainment show in Germany, according to the BBC, and has been remade for France 2 with similar success. Sbs in the Netherlands has also adapted the show.
The Bidding Room will be executive produced by Emma Walsh, with Claire Egerton-Jones serving as series producer. Acting BBC daytime boss Carla-Maria Lawson and Lindsay Bradbury commissioned the show.

Welcome to this week’s Monday Night Raw review, right here one Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and James Taylor says “You’ve Got A Friend”, but I think he’s full of $#!@. Folk rock, punk skunk, d–k-wad. On this episode of The Charlie Rose Show, women stare at me for an hour with terror and disgust, but not as much as I’m staring at Raw to give it a good review!
Match #1: Drew McIntyre def. Ricochet The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Anyone who thought Drew McIntyre would need a little time to get back in the swing of things was soundly corrected on Monday night when the former Nxt Champion defeated Ricochet in an in-ring return that was just as monstrous as he promised it would be. Out of the copious amounts of popcorn flicks that I experienced in my youth, Cliffhanger manages to stand head and shoulders above the rest of the pack for several reasons. Firstly, it never gets old watching an at-his-peak Sylvester Stallone kick ass and take names. Secondly, you can always count on John Lithgow to play an amazing bad guy (see also: 1991’s Ricochet as proof of this). And last but not least, the perilous setting of the Colorado Rockies wilderness is equally memorable as it is bone-chilling.
As is the case with a lot of successful and nostalgic movies from the last few decades, Hollywood has deemed it necessary to move forward with a reboot of Renny Harlin’s 1993 classic. Specifically, critically acclaimed director Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night) has recently been confirmed to helm the upcoming project.

Welcome to this week’s Monday Night Raw review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Paul Heyman is now in charge of Raw…eventually. I’m not kidding. Yeah, welcome to the next chapter in a very wild year. From what I understand, Paul is not completely in charge of Raw, but will get that power over time. Okay, we’ve got a few surprises here, so let’s jump into a card with Aj Styles battling Ricochet for the Us Title in the main event.

Welcome to this review of WWE’s Stomping Grounds event, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and this is the first Stomping Grounds event, so it’s absolutely important that this is a success. Will it be a quality show, or will Vince continue to sabotage his own company in a vain attempt to prove that All Elite Wrestling is not competition? Let’s see if this one hits the mark.
Match #1: Drew Gulak beat Tony Nese and Akira Tozawa – Triple Threat Match For The WWE Cruiserweight Championship
My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – Well, this was a fine little match that proved to be one of the more exciting things on the card. This was consistently entertaining the whole way through and made for a solid title match. It felt very random having Gulak win, but that is par for the course with the WWE’s cruiserweight division.

Match #1: Shane McMahon def. Lance Anoa’i The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Shane McMahon’s victories over The Miz were as much mental as they were physical — more so, if we’re being honest — so it’s no surprise that “The Best in the World” would attempt to replicate his strategy against Roman Reigns. Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and there’s a little surprise to come near the end of the show…unless you read the spoilers that have been around for a while.
Match #1: Forgotten Sons def. Moustache Mountain in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semifinals The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The slick teamwork of Moustache Mountain pushed Tyler Bate & Trent Seven to the brink of victory against Steve Cutler & Wesley Blake, but it wasn’t enough to nullify the ferocious presence of Jaxson Ryker. The Forgotten Sons’ “heavy hitter” disrupted the Semifinal Match as the back-and-forth battle entered the home stretch. By that point, Seven had already survived a prolonged attack on his knee and tagged in “Textbook” Tyler, whose insane power and athleticism turned the tide in Moustache Mountain’s favor. Bate & Seven felled Wesley Blake...

Welcome to this week’s Smackdown Live review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Nxt’s biggest stars invading Smackdown to…make money…I think. Screw it. As long as Rian Johnson doesn’t show up to call people that didn’t like his plot-hole ridden Star Wars: The Last Jedi “man-babies” (never-mind the fact that those people make it possible for him to not have to get a real job) then we should be fine. By the way, Steve Carell annoys the $#!@ out of me, even though I really like him. All right, let’s wrestle.
Match #1: Aleister Black def. Andrade The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
Following his incredibly impressive showing against Elias last night on Raw, former Nxt Champion Aleister Black made his SmackDown Live debut against a Superstar with whom he shares considerable history from their time in the black-and-yellow brand: Andrade.

Triple H came out and welcomed fans to WWE Monday Night Raw and then he had a huge announcement. Four WWE Nxt superstars were making their Monday Night Raw debuts tonight, including Ricochet. Welcome to this week’s review of Nxt, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Nxt has a big main event to show us, so let’s…watch the match. I couldn’t think of a joke so that’s all you get.
Match #1: Dominik Dijakovic def. Shane Thorne The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
Shane Thorne came prepared for his battle against the dominant Dominik Dijakovic, and he executed his savvy game plan to near perfection. The cunning Aussie relentlessly kicked Dijakovic down to size, then tenaciously went after the big man’s left arm, and when The Rare Breed kept coming at him, Thorne suplexed him on his noggin.
No amount of strategizing, however, could properly account for Dijakovic’s freakish athleticism. While both Superstars tussled on the top turnbuckle, the 270-pound Dijakovic backflipped out of danger and nailed Thorne with a superkick that...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have lots of interesting pre-Royal Rumble/Nxt Take-Over stuff to get to, so let’s do so.
Match #1: Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch def. Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel The following is courtesy of WWE.com:
The phrase “actions speaks louder than words” took a life of its own in the high-octane battle between Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch and Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel. Picking up from where their harsh verbal encounter concluded two weeks ago, the double-tough tandems unleashed pure bedlam inside and outside the yellow ropes. Where there was a brick-laced uppercut thrown by Burch & Lorcan, a devastating combo attack by Barthel & Aichner was waiting to follow – like Barthel literally tossing Lorcan into a grab-and-go suplex by Aichner. But there was no stopping the Brit-Am bruisers’ ground-and-pound style. When Aichner attempted to knock...
