The acting is adequate

This photoplay contains an interesting story; the plot is located in a military precinct. It shows the bravery and honor of one officer and the cowardice of another, who lost his life while fleeing from his duty. It is a good illustration of unselfish devotion, seeking to shield another from sorrow. It ends happily. The acting is adequate and scenic effects up to the standard of excellence. - The Moving Picture World, April 18, 1914
