Season 11, which was running at the time of his death, could still pick up noms at next year’s Emmys. Although CNN has not made an official announcement, it is unlikely “Parts Unknown” would continue in its current form without Bourdain.

Anthony Bourdain was nothing if not self-aware. Painfully so, at times. The journeyman cook turned executive chef turned best-selling author and TV's preeminent culinary ambassador was known—and often revered—for his unflinching honesty and his way with the human microscope, whether it was turned up on the restaurant industry or, more often than not, cranked to 1,000x on himself. Devotees of his expeditions chronicled on Food Network's A Cook's Tour, Travel Channel's The Layover and Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations and then on CNN's Parts Unknown—as well as his one-on-one sit-downs on PBS' Mind of a Chef—knew that Bourdain...

Representing a criminal waste of acting talent, Krystal, the latest directorial effort from William H. Macy, suggests, along with last year's misbegotten effort The Layover, that he might be better off sticking to acting. Featuring an estimable cast including Rosario Dawson in the title role, Nick Robinson (so terrific in the recent Love, Simon), Kathy Bates, Macy and his spouse Felicity Huffman, this is the sort of determinedly quirky would-be comedy that induces far more cringes than laughs. A quick exit from theaters is assured.

In the new comedy The Layover, two best friends discover the lengths they’ll both go to when a man gets between them. Directed by the incredibly talented William H. Macy, the film stars Alexandra Daddario, Kate Upton and Matt Barr. This sweet, and occasionally crude, comedy is a funny tale, and the film’s stars are very engaging. Let’s be honest, it would be impossible not to be a little taken with both Upton and Daddorio on-screen. Recently, we spoke to both... Read More...

We’ve come to know Alexandra Daddario as the beach-babe-slash-girl-next-door who can also kick some serious butt. She has a lengthy résumé that lists everything from hit TV shows Parenthood and American Horror Story to feature films like the Percy Jackson franchise, San Andreas and of course, Baywatch. And her star power is only rising, with a slew of movies slated to come out over the next two years.
But in the meantime, Alexandra’s using her platform (she has four million followers on Instagram alone) to take on health awareness through a new partnership with Allergan, urging her fans...

Kate Upton takes great pride in her on-screen abilities.
“I believe in hard work and learning your craft before going out there and doing it,” the Shape cover girl said, explaining that she has spent seven years honing her acting chops in the mag’s September issue.
An MTV Movie Award nominee for Best Shirtless Performance in 2014’s “The Other Woman,” Upton, 25, has appeared in six feature films. Most recently she appeared in the William H. Macy-directed comedy, “The Layover,” due out next month.
“It was really fun to film; an awesome learning experience,” she said.
Upton’s previous shoots haven’t sounded nearly as “fun.” Sources told Page Six the blonde bombshell threw a temper tantrum over the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover last year.

Girl Talk is a weekly look at women in film — past, present, and future.
Sandwiched in between the summer’s biggest blockbuster offerings and superhero tentpoles are a pair of outrageously funny outliers — comedies that, for all their raunchy gags and wild behavior, center squarely on women and their friendships — in the form of “Rough Night” and the upcoming release “Girls Trip.” Although both films lean hard on their comedic trappings, often in the form of booze-fueled bad behavior from their leading ladies, they also both find unexpected heart and charm in their deeper explorations of the relationships between the very different women that populate them.
But even with films like “Rough Night” and “Girls Trip” hitting the multiplex with a welcome dose of girl power, it seems that even this summer isn’t immune from the most tired and toxic of lady-centric comedy tropes: the dicks before chicks sub-genre.

Who’s ready for some more girls behaving badly, girls who put their own friendship on the line over a chance meeting with an Adonis on a plane has their hormones raging? Ready or not the trailer for The Layover is ready for your consumption.
Starring Alexandra Daddario and Kate Upton as our two cat-fighting besties Meg and Kate, The Layover is directed by William H. Macy and also stars Matt Jones, Molly Shannon, Kal Penn, and Rob Corddry.
The trailer sets up the generic story. Two friends, whose lives aren’t going quite as well, decide to take a trip away together only to be sat with next to a rather handsome young man when their plane is diverted. Having to take a layover, the three are all holed up in the same hotel and the girls take it upon themselves to impress their way into...

"I want him!" "Not this time..." Vertical Entertainment and DirecTV have released the first foul-mouthed trailer for a comedy titled The Layover, directed by actor-turned-filmmaker William H. Macy (his second film after Rudderless a few years back). The spunky comedy stars Alexandra Daddario and Kate Upton as best friends who get stuck in St. Louis on an extended layover. Along the way they meet and fall for the same guy, played by Matt Barr, and end up battling for his affection. The full cast includes Matt Jones, Molly Shannon, Kal Penn, and Rob Corddry. This looks mildly entertaining, but also very cliche and generic, but I'm not surprised. Don't really think this is for me, but I'm sure some people will love it. Enjoy. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for William H. Macy's The Layover, direct from YouTube: When their airplane is rerouted due to a hurricane warning,...

While there are plenty of dudes who would likely throw themselves at the opportunity to hang with either Alexandra Daddario or Kate Upton, what “The Layover” presupposes is that the pair would fight over a single man.
Somewhat surprisingly directed by William H. Macy, the movie centers on two besties, who find themselves competing for the same guy during an extended layover in St.

It’s about to be a girl fight!
The new redband trailer for The Layover is here — and People has an exclusive first look. The film stars Kate Upton and Alexandra Daddario as recently unemployed best friends who decide to take a trip to Florida to take the edge off.
Their luck seems to turn when a hot guy (Matt Barr) ends up being in the seat between them on a flight. But when a hurricane interrupts their path, the plane has to take a layover in St. Louis — and hilarity ensues.

Alexandra Daddario reckons San Andreas 2 is still likely - but Dwayne Johnson's schedule is a problem...
We've not heard anything about the mooted San Andreas 2 now since the start of 2016. But, some 17 months after the last update, its co-star - Alexandra Daddario - has held the door ajar a little for the project.
In a new interview with Collider, that's well worth a read, she was asked if she though the sequel would happen. Bottom line: it's likely, but depends on Dwayne Johnson's schedule.
"If I had to bet money on it, I’d say yes", she told the site, "but it’s still in the pre-production stage of putting it together. You never know with Dwayne Johnson’s schedule. He’s a very busy man. But that movie did very well, and it did very well overseas, so I can see them...

Of the many films James Franco has directed in the past few years (seriously, look at his IMDb page), there's one that will likely garner more attention than the others: The Disaster Artist, which chronicles the making of Tommy Wiseau's infamously terrible 2003 film The Room. That movie became a cult sensation, with a fandom that was completely baffled at how awful the movie was and how it managed to get made. Greg Sestero, who co-starred in The Room opposite the enigmatic and inexperienced Wiseau, wrote a book about the making of the movie called The Disaster Artist, and now Franco is directing a film adaptation of that book and playing Wiseau in the film. Dave Franco will play Sestero, and James recently shared a photo of the two of them in character on Instagram:...

Half a dozen shorts, one unheard of horror feature film offering (2013’s Devil In My Ride) and several indie producing creds most recently William H. Macy’s Rudderless, Gary Michael Schultz managed to land an impress set of indie players in Emile Hirsch, Zoë Kravitz, Zoey Deutch, Emory Cohen, Beau Knapp and Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi for his attention getting sophomore title. Principal photography on his love/violence themed revenge thriller began in Louisiana last December and it could potnetially have a soothing chaotic look as it was Fishing Without Nets’ Alex Disenhof on board as cinematographer.

Is Sundance big enough for two Christines? It certainly would be a ballsy festival move and a trip as a cinephile to see, compare and admire two filmmakers’ perspectives and unique prisms on Miss Chubbuck. After Kati with an I (2010), Fake It So Real (2012) and Actress (2014), Robert Greene continues to tweak how we come to relate with the nonfiction form. Presented at the Sheffield Doc/Fest last April, Tribeca Film Institute and Cph:forum, Kate Plays Christine is likely going to see indie actress Kate Lyn Sheil morph into something special.
Gist: This film follows actor Kate Lyn Sheil preparing to play the role of Christine Chubbuck, a Florida television host who committed suicide on air in 1974.
Production Co./Producers: Susan Bedusa and Douglas Tirola (Drunk Stoned Brilliant Dead: The Story of the National Lampoon).
Prediction: U.S Documentary section.
U.S. Distributor: Rights Available. Tbd (domestic). Tbd (international)

Kate Upton sure knows how to work a camera! The 23-year-old supermodel took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a sexy sneak peek from her latest swimsuit-clad photo shoot with V magazine. "You know just standing by a fake palm tree #vmag #sebastianfaena," the blonde beauty captioned the pretty pic. In the photo, "The Other Woman" star flaunts her killer curves as she poses with her arms behind her head while wearing a sleek white swimsuit, silver heels and matching silver bangels. Upton was spotted last month in a second swimsuit look while shooting scenes for her new movie, "The Layover" in Vancouver, Canada. In the photo, the Sports Illustrated star rocks a baby blue one-piece suit, a tan fedora and giant brown sunnies. It's crazy what a difference the right pose, a nice tan and some excellent lighting makes! What do you think about the blonde beauty's latest sexy shoot?...

Kate Upton is back on a film set...and back in a bathing suit. The 22-year-old Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover and Victoria's Secret model and actress was recently spotted wearing a cleavage-baring, aqua one-piece swimsuit while standing near a pool, getting ready to film a scene for the new movie The Layover in Vancouver. Upton also sported a floppy straw hat, sunglasses and white sandals. The Layover, the actress' fourth feature film, is described as a road trip sex comedy. The movie is about a pair of BFFs who set off on a trip to Florida and end up on a layover when their flight gets diverted, during which hijinks ensue! "She is so much fun,"...

Kate Upton may be one of the world's most in demand supermodels, but it sounds like her movie career is coming along quite nicely, thankyouverymuch. She's currently shooting the William H. Macy-directed road trip comedy The Layover with Alexandra Daddario. "She is so much fun," Daddario said of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl at the premiere of her new action disaster film San Andreas (in theaters tomorrow). "She's so smart and she's so amazing and we're having the best time. I hope that comes out on screen because there isn't a day that goes by that I don't laugh hysterically." The two play best friends who take a trip to Florida. "They end up on a...

With Eddie Redmanye in final negotiations to lead Warner Bros.' Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, attentions now shift towards filling out the rest of the cast. And it looks as though they are shooting for the fences here, as Kate Upton and Katherine Waterston (Inherent Vice) are up for the same part, Saoirse Ronan and Dakota Fanning go head-to-head for another and Dan Fogler is rumored for an antagonist part. The Wrap reported on the female casting. Ronan, Fanning, Lili Simmons ("True Detective") and Alison Sudol ("Transparent") all are up for the part of Tina. Upton, Waterston and Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby), meanwhile, are sought to play Tina's older sister, Queenie. While the schedules for these different actresses vary in availability, some already have test deals and script readings with Redmayne set for the next week or so. This is just an initial shortlist though,...

With credits that spell out a career just waiting for a break out hit, Alexandra Daddario has two projects that have a good chance of helping her make the jump. The first is this summer's disaster picture San Andreas, in which she plays Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's daughter and gets caught in a bit of a jam involving a gigantic earthquake. That alone could give her the boost she needs to become a big star, should the part be written well enough. However, it's the second role that seems to be the ace in the hole, as she's joining Kate Upton for a bit of a road trip in the new comedy The Layover. Variety reports that Daddario, fresh off of a supporting turn in HBO's hit drama True Detective, has joined Upton in the story of, " a pair of lifelong best friends who decide to avoid their problems by...
