- Desideria is the eldest daughter of the Dragon King and Queen and heir to the throne and the Dragon Ring. If she marries a prince that is. When she finds her prince however it turns out to be a rebel prince. When her father finds out she tries to help the prince escape he decides to let all the princes in his conquered kingdoms fight in a tournament for her hand in marriage. Meanwhile her jealous adopted sister tries to get rid of her.
- Diane, a young and attractive archaeologist, gets to know Dr. Neal Hogan in the secret archives at the Vatican. - Laura (Barbara DeRossi), at age 35 has abandoned her job of psychologist at the Department of Mental Health after the death of her anorexic patient. This is at great cost since she has become more closed and reclusive since. To the point when her friend Giulia Mariani (Christine Buisson), investigating judge at the Court of Milan asks her to help with a very difficult case she refuses. The case is a horrible crime where a 17 year old girl is murdered by a maniac and her 14 year old friend, Anna (Giorgia Minnella), considered dead by the murderer, has been in shock causing loss of memory and unable to communicate. If she could be somehow restored and her memory returned the killer could be captured. Laura, despite grave misgivings about her abilities, does take eventually take on the case. Approaching from both outwardly, with facts, evidence and comparisons and inwardly working with Anna, Laura uncovers a dark network of villainy using modern computer techniques. This starts to create friction with Commissioner Gennari (Gunther Maria Halmer), Professor Silvestri - the director of the Mental Health Center (Jacques Perrin) and even her judge friend. But it is plain to Laura that more is at stake than Anna and her survival with the killer at large. By getting to the bottom of this she will not only open up Anna, she will open and restore herself.
