Stern, and Samuel White - a great-grandson of architect Stanford White; historian Blanche Wiesen Cook; preservation pioneer Otis Pratt Pearsall, Esq.; David Reese, Curator, Louis Armstrong House Museum; and jazz great Wycliffe Gordon, among others.

- Eric Bentley is one of the most respected theater critics, playwrights, editors and translators of our time. For his 100th birthday, a galaxy of stars honored Bentley at Broadway's legendary Town Hall. The historic evening featured [LINK=nm1065785], Austin Pendleton, Harold Bloom, James Shapiro, Edward Mendelson, Phillip Lopate, Louise Kerz-Hirschfeld, Michael Paller, and Roger Copeland, and was emceed by Michael Riedel. The participants offered readings from Eric Bentley's classic works and shared their thoughts about Bentley's influence on them personally and on American theater, music, and culture. Bentley's work with Brecht, his classic books on the theater, and his own great artistry were all highlighted. The evening was punctuated by theater music of Hanns Eisler and Darius Milhaud, whose songs for Mother Courage were performed by Soprano Karyn Levitt in the composer's original, unpublished version for chamber orchestra, conducted by the late multi-Emmy Award winner Glen Roven. Selections from Eric Bentley's Brecht-Eisler Song Book were also performed by Ms. Levitt and the Hanns Eisler Trio. The film captures all the highlights from this one-of-a-kind live event honoring Eric Bentley and his legacy.

- Brian Lehrer, the popular host of WNYC, New York Public Radio's "The Brian Lehrer Show," hosts a live, hour-long weekly television program on CUNY TV. "Just like my WNYC show, we'll be trying to get at the truth about life and politics in New York City, and give regular New Yorkers a voice through live call-ins and e-mail," said Lehrer. "We'll be providing direct access to mayoral hopefuls and other major news-makers, and doing New York television's only `open phones' call-ins. We'll also invite people to send in photos and original videos that say something meaningful about life in New York today. And, as on the radio, we'll find our ways to sneak in some fun!" - A monthly film review talk show for CUNY TV hosted by NYC film critic Niel Rosen where he and his fellow film critics review new theatrical and on-demand film releases. The show is a spiritual sequel to his previous Talking Pictures show.

This monthly half-hour show includes exhibitions, film releases, book translations, festivals, ballets, concerts and theater productions. "Canape" is one of the few French programs to appear on American television. "Canape" has received two nominations for a New York Emmy Award in the category of Arts programming in 2003 and 2004. Lyndon McCray was born and raised in Brooklyn New York, Lyn-Don graduated from Fiorello LaGaurdia H.S. of Performing Arts and after which was accepted into SUNY Purchase's film conservatory. It was here where he developed his passion and goal to take on the competitive business of filmmaking, aiming to successfully work within this field as not only a film director but through creatively collaborating with others to assemble projects for him to direct. Rich Casella is a Brooklyn, New York based multi-instrumentalist performer and composer with a unique musical language developed on acoustic guitar from a cross of Rock, Bluegrass, and Classical Music.

Then we enter the world of Russ LaChanse, introducing us to drunken cows, bread fetish clubs and a suspicious pancake. Next up we meet Nick Bacile director of the new feature "American Carny: True Tales From the Circus Sideshow," "Slasher Flick," "The Man Who Knew Bell Star," as well as many more amazing films. Finally, we get to the one and only banjo player that requires only one name - the amazing Breadfoot, performing some music from his latest record "Tea With Leo," as well as a tune from his next record. So hitch a ride with "A.O.S.L.I!" as we go from Staten Island, to Williamsburg Brooklyn, and all the way out to Coney Island to meet these unique artists. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show!

Japanese born singer/ songwriter Miwa takes to the stage with a somewhat country western blues feel to her work. Next we have filmmaker Adam Barnick, giving us a peak at his short film Mainstream. Dark and mostly absent of dialogue, this picture focuses on a man being prodded with all sorts of instruments, as he is strapped to a table. To wrap up the episode we have Kanene Holder, an actress, writer and producer of her one-woman show entitled Sitchaassdown. The show features a multitude of different characters that express Kanene's beliefs through colorful monologues. Special guest John Leavitt drops in to introduce Molly, Adam Matta will be performing part 1 of his vocal vignette series on "AOSLI!", and be sure to look out for Jihad Jerry (AKA Gerald V.
