- A stray dog called Rover shows up at the Chips Comic office, and finds not only a new home but a new job as a "roving reporter".
- Elsa and Inky present Rover with a very special surprise - his very own "Rovermobile" to help him carry out his duties as Rover the Roving Reporter.
- Rover is awoken by the sound of an alarm clock, and Elsa shows him how it works and how to set the alarm. Inky could probably benefit from this lesson too as he arrives at the office a few minutes late.
- More mail than usual arrives at the Chips Comic office, and most of it is addressed to Elsa. Inky and Rover soon realise why - it is Elsa's birthday.
- The Chips Comic office has become very messy, so Inky, Elsa and Rover set to work spring cleaning.
- Chips the Computer breaks down and the team worry that the comic will not be printed in time. Rover, however, comes to the rescue.
- On his way to the office, Inky spots an interesting advertisement. He telephones the others and soon the gang all meet up at Islington City Farm.
- Poor Rover is unwell with a cold. Will he recover in time to carry out this week's Rover's Report?
- While Elsa is out buying lunch, Inky and Rover carelessly play basketball in the office and break her glass jug. Fortunately, Rover's Report takes him to a glass factory and he is able to present Elsa with a replacement.
- In this final episode of the first series, Elsa, Inky and Rover are planning a picnic in the local park. Chips prints the tenth edition of the comic.
- The second series of Chips Comic begins, and Elsa, Inky and Rover - with the help of Chips the Computer - begin working on a brand new Chips Comic book.
- Inky explains how Chips the Computer is able to print all the colours of the rainbow using only four different coloured inks. Rover reports on how felt-tip pens are made.
- It's almost Bonfire Night and the team are planning a firework party, but the weather threatens to cancel the event. Rover's Report includes some important safety advice and the Animal Page reminds us to keep our pets safely indoors.
- Elsa takes up jogging and encourages Inky and Rover to keep fit too. Clever Chips the Computer finds some childhood photos of Inky and Elsa.
- Inky shows off his model train set and encourages Rover to play. Rover then sets out on his Rovermobile to find out how the roads he travels on are made.
- Rover visits the dentist who shows him how to brush his teeth properly, and he can't wait to share this knowledge in this week's Rover's Report. There's washing-up to be done so Rover gives Elsa and Inky a hand (well, a paw) with this too.
- Holiday snapshots remind Elsa, Inky and Rover of a trip they made to the seaside, and they compile a photo page for the book. Rover reports on how ice cream is made.
- The Chips Comic team are working late and Rover visits the late-night supermarket for a few groceries. Back at the office, a light-bulb blows which gives Inky the chance to demonstrate the different shadows we can make with our hands.
- Finding the missing puzzle page is like looking for buried treasure - according to Inky. The team then investigate what else lies buried underground, such as water pipes - and Rover reports on what happens to our waste water.
- It's the very last episode and the team are getting ready for their Christmas Party to celebrate finishing the book. No party is complete without crisps, so Rover's final duty as Roving Reporter is to find out how crisps are made.
