- Mitsuomi Kozuka quits his job in Tokyo to return to his rural hometown for the first time in a decade. There, he meets Yamato Kumai, who convinces him to help out on his farm, where their relationship grows and changes them both.
- Hayashishita Minako is the ex-wife of Kiyoshi Hayashishita. They divorced twice having gone through turbulent times. A television documentary depicts their lives and times. Minako had a rough upbringing, which included teenage pregnancy, an abusive father who often beat her and more misery.

She finds out that the incidents are not just Slit mouth woman but the other urban legends from Japan. The professor assumes that some of the homicides are relates to Japanese Urban Legends and ghosts, which are actually happened in LA. A few days later, she scared of illusion of Japanese Urban Legends and realizes that she herself is turning into the woman.
- Nana Sasaki joins an on-line meeting with her former high school classmates, Yuki and Suzu, where they rehash the terrifying Samejima Incident, an urban legend that has been circulating around the Internet for two decades with the following warning: those who find the truth behind it will be cursed and die.

- Rock band members sneak into an abandoned school on a dare where one girl dies. Shizukune, an exorcist in training, arrives at the abandoned school to perform an exorcism. There, she faces a demon with the power of darkness.

- Police officer Yukimura Sayo and her younger sister Miwa visit a ryokan located deep in the mountains. They don't know that this traditional inn famous for a nearby hot spring with healing qualities is a den for vampires.
- Kaito was a marathon runner and hoped to compete in the Olympics. He gave up those dreams after an injury. Kaito now works in city hall and just drifts through his days. His girlfriend Marino leaves him. One day, he goes to the mountain as a tourist guide. Heavy rain passes over the area. Kaito finds a mysterious mine and enters the mine to stay dry, but Kaito suddenly finds himself outside of the mine. The rain is gone and his memory is different now. Kaito has won a gold medal in the Olympics and he is still with Marino.
- When the dormitory of a coveted private high school, called Alps, is about to close due to financial difficulties the girl step up to the challenge. The student residents plan to stop their dormitory from shutting its doors.

- Shota Igarashi is on the run from the police after committing a crime. He sneaks into a home. An elderly lady Tae Yamamura approaches Shota and mistakes him for her grandchild. Shota begins to live with Tae. A couple days later, Tae's real grandchild Kaori Miyake arrives. Shota and Kaori face each other. One night, Shota and Kaori listens to the radio and hears a discussion about an old marathon runner. Kaori encourages Shota to participate in a marathon.

- A vehicle for the idol band AeLL, which is comprised of several cases, has the three girls running their own detective agency. They occupy an office, but cannot afford the rent. The landlord tries to evict them. With that said, the landlord also owns an apartment that is unfortunately haunted and asks the girls to solve this problem in lieu of rent payment. In another episode they act as bodyguards for a famed lyricist. The girls are picky about their clients and yearn for that special case.

- Chikako Shida was born in 1910 in Ooisawa, Yamagata (now Nishikawa) as the eldest daughter of a prominent family. Her father Soujirou was the principal of a local elementary school and her mother died during a particularly difficult childbirth. At that time, Ooisawa had no doctors, and by the time they rushed her mother to a neighboring town it was too late to save her. Because of this incident, and recognizing that Chikako was a particularly clever child, Soujirou had early hopes that she'd grow up to become a doctor. Wanting to fulfill her father's wishes, Shida attended what is now Tokyo Women's Medical University. After graduating, she returned to Ooisawa where she devoted the rest of her life to rural health care.
