- FIRST PERSON LATIN AMERICA is a documentary series that talks, snoops and discovers the realities of teenagers living in some place of Latin America, the youngest region in the world. The season consists of 22 episode (portraits) of 12 minute, with protagonists between 13 to 18 years old from Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Uruguay, where each one talks about key aspects of life: love, sexuality, consumption, friendship, family, fears, beliefs, prejudices, ideals, dreams. In a pleasant dialogue and through a close look, each piece portrays something of the soul of its protagonist with tenderness, respect and humor. FIRST PERSON LATIN AMERICA aims to bring distant worlds together; adults and teenagers, Latin America and the rest of the world, by showing different ways to feel and live this crucial stage of life in this particular region of the world. The series was created by Federico Veiroj and Pancho Magnou Arnábal in 2013 with a first season successfully exhibited in Uruguay, acquired by UNICEF for the national territory. FIRST PERSON LATIN AMERICA is its second season in co-production with five Latinamerican public channels: TV Brasil, Canal Trece in Colombia, EDUCA in Ecuador, Canal Once in México and TV CIUDAD in Uruguay, who share the vision that recognizing the diversity and richness of teenage expressions is one of the most relevant aspects to achieve their participation and their construction of citizenship, as a tool to generate more integrated and egalitarian societies.
