- As civilization falls to a global plague, various groups work toward uncovering the mystery underneath a rural Home and Garden warehouse store that may reveal the cause and cure of the zombie infection.
- The pilot episode introduces us to the town of Wishwell, Pennsylvania. It is a town on the verge of economic ruin even before the dead begin to rise. In documentary style produced in the post-apocalypse, this podcast documentary chronicles the heroism of local disk jockey Todd Rage as the days wind down and the end of that world begins.
- As a deadly pandemic reaches rural northwestern Pennsylvania, locals scramble to isolate and protect their most vulnerable citizens at a church overlooking the Algonquin Valley. Local youth, dismissing the danger and taking advantage of the discord, plot to scam alcohol for a private party at the young rich kid's house, only to find themselves confronting the infected first hand. What they once called Fake News is revealed to be true: the dead are coming back to life to consume the living.
- Abandoned by their friends, Hicks and Ronni rush to find help only to discover their hometown of Wishwell fighting more of the undead easily overrunning their police and defenses. They escape to the mountains where they encounter a different sort of adversary. Meanwhile, the trio that left them behind runs into problems of their own fleeing the scene, leading to an unexpected death and complications to their plan to party away the zombie apocalypse.
- Fleeing the chaos of Wishwell, Pennsylvania, Hicks and Ronni discover a downed helicopter from a Philadelphia news station [WGON] blocking their path to a shelter. At the site, they help a local mountain man and a strange hermit called Dogberry put down the passengers of the copter and take shelter in an abandoned tourist attraction, "Marshall Caverns" and figure out what to do next. Gray and his last living friend, Derrick, plan to hunker down in his luxury home and go down together in a blaze of firepower. Bitten, Gray begins to hear voices from beyond suggesting a better future for himself. The United Nations Necroambulate Disposal Detail, contracted by the United States to clean up after battles with the living dead, comes under friendly fire outside Pittsburgh. A Royal Air Force pilot is shot down and reluctantly agrees to lead the survivors of the attack in fighting back against the monsters.
- As Hicks and Ronni work out their next move, Ronni falls ill, requiring a run into the burning town of Wishwell for life-saving meds. After confronting looters and vigilantes, Hicks is reunited with his old pal Gray - but he's a changed man with an offer hard to ignore. Inside the house and garden superstore HG WORLD, we meet the provisional government run by retail managers and store security. As dozens of survivors wait to be rescued and relocated, the staff of the superstore begins to show signs that something more sinister may be in play under the sales floor.
- The United Nations force heads north trying to hook up with reinforcements near Wishwell, Pennsylvania. At the First Church of Wishwell, the sick and infirm begin draining the resources of the shelter, causing a rift between the caretakers and those who demand resources be saved for those with the best chance of surviving. It is a race against time to get life-saving medicine to Ronni who lay dying in the mountainside shelter.
- Turned away by a mysterious message from under HG World, the United Nations team of soldiers turn their attention to resupplying. They come upon a survivalist carnival full of dark, disturbing attractions and a sinister trap for all able-bodied survivors who heed the call of The Barker.
- As fall turns to a hard winter, the situation at the First Church of Wishwell is grim as those the church hoped to help turn on them both as flesh-eating undead and as desperate survivors hoping to gain control over the shelter of the church grounds. Doreen Garrison tries to save one lost soul at the cost of her body and spirit. The United Nations force joins up with a scientific expedition that claims to have a path to a cure and a return to a normal world.
- Searching for surviving family, Hicks and Ronni return to her mobile home park where they find nothing but devastation and a new fight to survive. The United Nations team finds itself low of ammo and supplies as the starving undead grow more violent and somehow more cunning in their hunt for human flesh. Inside HG World, the community grows restless as journalists and survivors alike begin to investigate the lies and secrets that keep HG World operating just as the constables begin acting more like jailers than protectors.
- Throughout the series HG World, Jill Woodbine tells the story of a young woman fighting her way through a horde of hungry undead to the safe zone called HG World. Formerly a house and garden superstore, HG World provides over one hundred survivors with shelter, food, water, and hope. As Jill desperately wishes to embrace the comfort of this new home, she is reluctant to believe that a more permanent rescue is coming. More importantly, she is not convinced that the leadership of this new community has the best interest of its citizens in mind. Weaving its way through seasons 1 through 3 of HG WORLD, the Diary of Jill Woodbine is a one-woman performance by Veronica Giguere telling the story of life, love, and sacrifice during the zombie apocalypse.
- Escaping the destruction of the Brotherhood's carnival, Group Captain McInnes and his United Nations platoon begin an investigation of groups fighting one another for control of humanity's future. We follow a survivor, someone for whom the zombie apocalypse did little to hurt his socio-economic situation as he leaves his job dumping corpses into mass graves to delivering a decidedly different sort of cargo. Told from the perspective of aging Hero of the Zombie War Ken Peters, this is a tale originally presented in late 2011 but set between the events of the first and second seasons of HG World.
- Ken Peters takes an offer he cannot refuse and teams with the mysterious, sexy but potentially insane partner Jo to deliver secret through hostile zombie territory to a facility in exchange for badly needed supplies. But Jo is unstable and the job sounds too good to be true. Is it? Learn more about Jo from HG World and how she came to be part of the Brotherhood and the Happy Valley Militia.
- Ken Peters finds himself drawn deeper into The Brotherhood, its fortress base in upstate New York, and its weird ways that are somehow linked to the living dead. What will he find in the Chamber of Heirs and what's happened to the children?
- With the selection of a new Shepherd, the Brotherhood of the United Flesh is at a crossroads. Ken Peters watches as the Makwe Camp falls into chaos with the new Shepherd and a divided flock. This event sends Ken and Jo on separate missions to save the innocent people who saw Makwe as a safe zone and who are now marooned in a hundred square miles of wilderness on the edge of a long winter.
- Stumbling upon a group of United Nations troops (including McInnes, Grant, Sarge, General Ying and Dr. Shiva Vesta) guarding a shelter full civilians, Ken has to figure out how to escape a burning camp filled with eaters and get everyone to safety while forming a plan to stop the GOO:GIEs from unleashing their plan against what's left of humanity.
- In the future, a sick Ken Peters faces his mortality and tries to recount his battle with "The Googies" before his time runs out. Back in time and overloaded with refugees of General Ying's recruiting "farm" for the Happy Valley Militia, a younger Ken fights alongside McInnes, Grant, Dr. Vesta, Jo and Sarge against hostile eaters to reach a secure place to camp - an abandoned strip club just off their main route. But is any place truly safe? Is any man, woman...or child?

The United Nations team, their research scientists, and their dozen surviving children must risk a perilous crossing of the park via a cable sky-ride to meet those who run the facility and take shelter inside God's Kingdom. What they find may make their escape from the Makwe Resort in New York seem a vacation by comparison.
- In the future, a dying Ken Peters struggles to finish his story revealing important information on how to keep the dead from rising again in his time. At Slim Shimmer's Christian Theme Park, our heroes struggle to escape the dead with precious secrets that may help restore humanity to the top of the food chain.
- Ken and Barbara make their way toward the Makwe Testing Facilities alone, unaware they are being hunted. What awaits them in the remote wilderness of upstate New York may represent the end of any hope to eradicate the undead plague. Meanwhile, Mark Shearer races to finish his story before the series is to go live to the world. Will he tell the whole truth or just the truth the world is prepared to hear?
- The penultimate chapter sees Ken, Barbara, and Sarge following Mifflin to The Keep - a final stop before the Makwe Resort. There they reunite with an old friend who proposes an end game to defeat the Brotherhood once and for all and escape a thousand acres of hostile wilderness.

In the present, Ken and Mark have a final conversation and Mark reveals his own surprising secret. The end will tie together into HG World: The Final Season featuring Ken Peters, Jill Woodbine, and many more of the original cast back for the final battle between the living and the dead -- coming soon.
- Our new season begins with a new arrival to HG World. Balamani "Barbara" Sarasvasti survived the winter (see: The Googies) and outlived her companions in the wilderness.
