- A Cup of Hope" is a heartwarming story about Jim, a homeless man who finds a lottery ticket belonging to a woman named Claire, who dropped it eleven months earlier. As he waits for her to return, he discovers that the notebook the ticket fell out of is full of children's drawings and writings, which inspire him. When Claire finally shows up and Jim returns the ticket, she discovers that it's a winning ticket worth two million dollars. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Claire insists on sharing half of the winnings with Jim, but he refuses, telling her that seeing her and her children happy is all the reward he needs. The story ends with Jim playing his guitar, now playing perfect notes, as Claire walks away with a smile on her face.

- TV SeriesThe story begins when three old friends, Jason, Andrew, and Carl, of different ethnicity meet up at brunch one day. Jason, a 30-year-old African American man, is waiting for his friends outside a brunch spot. As he's talking to a Hostess, his 30 years old Caucasian friend, Andrew, approaches him. After greeting each Another, they move in to wait for Carl, their third friend. In the meantime, Carl, 35 years old Asian American, come to the table and settle in. Then, Carl begins to explain his reason for being late, noting that he had to pick up his stuff from work, much to everyone's surprise. Carl adds on that he has been working for 10 years for his rude boss, Kelly. On his friends' insistence, Carl recalls the day when he quit his job, noting that months ago he applied for two days leave to play a role in a show, but Kelly rejected his application a few days before the show. Depressed, Carl calls his mother and tells her about the situation. Unlike his father, who believes that Carl should do a proper job in order to earn money, his mother encourages him to quit the job to follow his dream. After hanging up the call, Carl approaches Kelly and quit his job. Back At the table, the waitress has served the food while they talk. On hearing the big news, Jason excitedly declares a celebration and asks Carl about his future plan, to which he replies that he is planning to focus in his stunt classes. Meanwhile, Andrew offers Carl to join his theater classes, but he refuses, noting that theater is not his style. Then, Jason tells them that he will be reading a new pilot for Tyler Perry's studio show, much to everyone's delight. In the next episode, Jason calls Andrew, who helped Jason with practicing his lines for voice over. Meanwhile, Andrew suggests Jason use a subtle voice to read his dialogue, to which Jason agrees. In the afternoon, enraged, Jason approaches Andrew and Carl in the kitchen and blames Andrew for ruining his audition by suggesting using a subtle voice, much to Andrew's distress. At night, Jason goes to a bar with his friend, Sandy, who tries to cheer him up after losing his role. Meanwhile, Andrew takes Carl To his theater class. during the class, Carl observes the teacher, and old lady, being rude with her students and decides to leave, noting that theater is not for him. As Carl moves to go outside, the teacher calls him on stage and confronts him for not taking acting seriously because of his fear of failure. Her words make Carl realize that he needs to work hard for his dream. Later, at the apartment, when Jason spots Carl reading a UTA HAGEN book, he also advices Jason to work hard, making Jason enraged. The next day, Carl and Andrew goes to their common brunch spot. In the meantime, Jason approaches them and apologizes for his rude behavior. Jason tells them that one of his casting friends has told him that the director liked his unique style and willing to take him on board for another role, much to their delight. Excited, Andrew tells Carl and Jason about his audition for a comedic role. After the audition, Andrew comes back home and tells Carl about his failed audition, noting that he got confused during the audition and forgot his lines. Carl takes Andrew out to cheer him up while Jason attends his class with sandy. Heartbroken, and who decides to quit acting. The next day, after receiving a call from his agent, Andrew goes to the production office for his meeting with a new director, Chris Rocco, and signs a contract to work as a stand in for his TV project in exchange for a monthly payment. Chris Rocco tells Andrew that he can't join any other project during this work. After the meeting, Andrew joins Carl and Jason for brunch and tells them about his contract with Chris Rocco. Carl goes to an audition for a background role in an action series and gets selected. Enraged, Jason approaches Andrew and tells him that his friend lost his gig for Tyler Perry show. Andrew goes to the production house and gets to know that he is standing in for no one in the show. Later, Carl, Andrew, Jason, along with Sandy, gather in the living room and discuss the recent happenings. Meanwhile, Sandy reminds Jason about his audition. Then, Sandy and Jason leave the house and go to a bar. The next In the morning, when Andrew wakes Jason up for the audition, Jason realizes that he's late. Although Jason quickly gets ready, he doesn't make it on time. Later, at the bar, Jason receives a call from his agent, George, who refuses to work with him anymore because of his irresponsible behavior. Disappointed, Jason calls Marlon, his Tyler Perry casting friend, and realizes that he does not have any chance to work there. Heartbroken and enraged, Jason comes to home and packs his stuff. Despite his friends' resistance, Jason leaves the house, much to their dismay. The next day, Carl goes to the set for the shooting of his action theme-based project. Andrew and Carl watch the TV show with Carl playing the background role in it, for which Andrew appreciates him. At Sandy's place, Sandy reminds Jason that he missed Carl's TV show and asks him if he misses his friends, to which he retorts that he wants a break. Meanwhile, Sandy asks Jason to help her with her lines, but he keeps ignoring her. Annoyed, Jason crumples her paper sheets, much to Sandy's dismay. Furious, Sandy confronts Jason for his ill behavior and asks him to leave her apartment. Later at his apartment, Jason has a daymare in which Tyler Perry scolds him for ruining his relationship with his friends and girlfriend by blaming them for his own actions. Terrified, Jason wakes up and finds Carl and Andrew in front of him. Jason tells them about his dream and apologizes to them for his behavior. In the meantime, Jason suggests they create their own content and share it with his YouTuber friend, Paris. When Jason calls Paris he asks Jason to bring him a good story if he wants to work with him. Later, Carl and Andrew share their idea with Jason to create their own content for a short film by using their prominent skills and characters. In the meantime, Carl receives a call from his parents and realizes that his father is angry at seeing him on TV. While they are at their brunch spot, Carl's parents approach them and take him with them, Jason and much to Jason and Andrew's shock.
