- Every two years MMPIA throws one hell of a party with the Blizzard Awards, a bi-annual celebration of excellence in Manitoba film, television and video production. The Blizzards honor the extraordinary work of Manitoba producers, directors, writers, performers and craftspeople in an awards show that has become the envy of the country.
