- DirectorJason FriedbergAaron SeltzerStarsJenn ProskeMatt LanterDiedrich BaderIn this spoof of vampire-themed movies, teenager Becca finds herself torn between two boys. She and her friends wrestle with endless dramas that crescendo at the prom.Definitely the worst movie of the year, I was duped to think that Aaron and Jason finally figured out how to write a parody film. I was wrong. They did the exact same thing. They did however, found out how to do a structure of plot. Still same rules applied to the unfunny 'jokes' and I ended up paying $10 to see a horrible rendition of the first two Twilight movies.
- DirectorKevin GreutertStarsTobin BellCostas MandylorBetsy RussellAs a deadly battle rages over Jigsaw's brutal legacy, a group of Jigsaw survivors gathers to seek the support of self-help guru and fellow survivor Bobby Dagen, a man whose own dark secrets unleash a new wave of terror.I liked the movie up until the last two minutes where it was revealed that Gordon was involved in all of the previous traps after the first film and the definitive apprentice. There was no explanation given, but it still made no sense even if there was one. It ruined the realism of the universe of 'Saw' and it completely destroyed all the main characters. Horrible movie and horrible conclusion to the series.
- DirectorLouis LeterrierStarsSam WorthingtonLiam NeesonRalph FiennesPerseus, a demigod and the son of Zeus, battles the minions of Hades and the Underworld in order to stop them from conquering Olympus and Earth. It was like watching a poorly directed, poorly acted, and poorly written mash-up of 300 and Lord of the Rings. It was built up with Perseus being a demigod but fighting Hades as a mortal. But in the end Zeus helps him defeat Hades in less than 4 seconds. It was just a terrible remake and was unnecessary. Sam Worthington was stiff in his performance as well. I cringed for the entire thing.
- DirectorTim BurtonStarsMia WasikowskaJohnny DeppHelena Bonham CarterNineteen-year-old Alice returns to the magical world from her childhood adventure, where she reunites with her old friends and learns of her true destiny: to end the Red Queen's reign of terror.Oh, Mr. Burton...Never did I think I'd put a film of yours in a "worst films of the year." Well, here we are. Burton turns what is a magnificent story of randomness and obscure events into a grounded uninteresting story. It's filled with CGI and it's just cringing to watch these actors work with the green-screen and motion-capture. I even disliked Depp's performance. Don't do this anymore Burton.
- DirectorAlexandre AjaStarsElisabeth ShueJerry O'ConnellRichard DreyfussAfter a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area's new razor-toothed residents.I couldn't believe how bad this was. For one thing, the kill scenes play out the exact same every 24 times they happen. I don't remember how many people actually die on screen, but it was a lot. The piranhas surround someone, 5-10 seconds elapse, the piranhas swim away revealing a body of bloody bones. Ooh, scary! Next...
- DirectorM. Night ShyamalanStarsNoah RingerNicola Peltz BeckhamJackson RathboneAang, a young successor to a long line of Avatars, must master all four elements and stop the Fire Nation from enslaving the Water Tribes and the Earth Kingdom.M. Night's considerably good movies has dropped drastically over the years. I still like three written and directed by him which are: Unbreakable, The Sixth Sense and Signs. However, the rest of his movies are atrocious, I'd say. This one being the worst. He came up with the story for Devil which is a great movie, though. But this movie was a snore fest and what I did catch was some of the most horrible acting by unknown actors I'd ever seen. It was filled with irrelevant scenes and absurd "special effects."
- DirectorChristian AlvartStarsRenée ZellwegerIan McShaneJodelle FerlandA social worker fights to save a girl from her abusive parents, only to discover that the situation is more dangerous than she ever expected. Not totally horrible, but out of all the films that came out in 2010, this one is not a good one. I'd say it's right in between the good and the bad, but leans toward bad. As the predictable plot comes slowly, like a sloth, the movie isn't thrilling and it's not scary. It's not dramatic and there's no comedic relief. Is this how you're supposed to write movies? I think not.
