- CreatorDaniel KnaufStarsMichael J. AndersonAdrienne BarbeauClancy BrownDuring the Great Depression, an Oklahoma farm boy and a charismatic minister learn that they are key players in a proxy war being fought between Heaven and Hell.It was supremely dark day in television when this show got cancelled. Bold, original and complex in it's execution and storytelling, each week I waited on pins and needles wondering how this show was going to reach its dramatic conclusion. I and the other fans of this show were given pieces of a very large and complicated puzzle that we all knew was going to lead to something of epic proportion. We never got a chance to see was that was and I'm still angry with HBO to this day! >:(
- CreatorGordon CassidyRobert Fisher Jr.George VerschoorStarsGary FredoJohn CarozzaPat BattistiniMurder in Small Town X is an unscripted drama series in which ten ordinary people compete to track down a fictional killer in a town filled with improvisational actors playing the suspects and witnesses. This was a reality show worth getting addicted to. A group of contestants get a crash course in forensics to solve a mock murder in a make-believe town. Those that get voted off get the chance to either find a crucial clue to the identity of the murderer or THEY GET "MURDERED" themselves! The show was creepy, thought provoking and a breath of fresh air in the monotonous world of reality television.
- StarsJen SoskaSylvia SoskaAtifa TallehContestants form a 3-person team to take on 3 horror-themed challenges. Contestants that complete the solo challenges move on to the final labyrinth challenge as a team for a chance to win some more bonus cash.Me and my niece use to watch this game show every October when it came on and swore up and down we could win it! Hellevator was a 2015 American horror game show produced by Jason Blum for his Blumhouse Productions banner in which a team of three contestants rides a haunted elevator through an abandoned slaughterhouse in an attempt to earn money. The show is hosted by Jen and Sylvia Soska better known as the "Twisted Twins".
- CreatorDan CurtisStarsBen CrossBarbara BlackburnJim FyfeVictoria Winters comes to Collinwood, an isolated mansion in Maine, to work as a governess, but soon finds herself drawn into a strange world of vampires, ghosts and curses. The revamped (no pun intended) version of Dark Shadows. I loved the modern retelling of this show and thought Ben Cross and Joanna Going were wonderful in it. Each week I was dying to know how this was going to end. Unfortunately, I never got to find out.
- CreatorBernie KukoffStarsJoseph BolognaTisha CampbellBlanca De GarrA wealthy widowed businessman adopts five daughters to live with him at his mansion.A quirky musical show set in the 60's about a millionaire that adopts 5 orphaned girls to boost his public image and ends up becoming a real father to them. Yes, the concept was cheesy, but I did loved the musical numbers and Tisha Campbell.
- CreatorThomas BaumJonathan CravenWes CravenStarsJack ColemanLindsay FrostRobert Englund"Nightmare Cafe" - Frank Nolan and Fay Peronivic find themselves in a mysterious all-night café following a brush with death, but they soon learn that they did, in fact, die, and have been brought back to life by the café.Robert Englund stars as the proprietor of a mysterious cafe used as a way for wayward individuals to find redemption or (if they were bad people) to get their just desserts. It was very "Twilight Zone" in it's nature and I wish it was allowed to stay on long enough to find an audience.
- CreatorEric BlakeneyStephen J. CannellStarsRichard GriecoMarcia StrassmanCarmen ArgenzianoIn this "21 Jump Street" spin-off, a rebellious young cop becomes an insurance investigator for a multinational corporation. This spinoff from "21 Jump Street" lasted only one season, but I think that it's downfall was that Richard Greico was no Johnny Depp. Depp fans were and are very loyal to him and felt Greico was trying to replace him. They made their displeasure known and the show suffered for it unfortuately. :(
- CreatorKeenen Ivory WayansStarsKeenen Ivory WayansJim CarreyKelly Coffield ParkThe Wayans siblings present an African-American focused sketch comedy show. This was must see TV in our house back in the 90s. Created by the Wayans family and consisting of a mostly black cast, this Fox show was cutting edge and fearless when satirizing race relations, celebrities, politics, etc. Plus, the array of hilarious characters that showed up each week... Homey the Clown, Fire Marshall Bill, Frenchy, Blaine and Antoine, Grandpa Joe and more! The best show from my teen years!! :D
- CreatorKevin ArkadieDick WolfStarsMalik YobaMichael DeLorenzoPatti D'ArbanvilleThe rise and fall of this gritty police drama is a great case for the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" argument. The show already had a huge following among the Black and Latino communities(mainly due to the strong and positive portrayals of J.C. Williams and Eddie Torres by the two lead actors Malik Yoba and Michael DeLorenzo). But TIIC at Fox felt that wasn't enough and wanted the show to appeal to a wider audience(or should I say "whiter" audience).
So, they took out everything that made the show special and unique, i.e. all the R&B and hip-hop music including the nightclub, Natalie's, that would every week showcase the hottest acts in R&B, hip-hop, blues, and Latin music, they killed off Torres and replaced him with two new white characters(Marisa Ryan and Josh Hopkins), they got rid of Lt. Cooper (Patti D'Arbanville) and the 4th precinct and replaced her with Lt. Barker(Tommy Ford) and had the characters working out of an abandoned plant. This great show was just turned into a huge mess and a shell of it's former self for no reason at all. Pathetic!! >:( - StarsRuth LivierNicholas GonzalezDaniel ZacapaDaily troubles and triumphs of a struggling caring Latino family.I can't talk about one Michael DeLorenzo show and not talk about this show as well because it was just as great and just as unfairly axed as "New York Undercover".
In East Los Angeles, California, the Santiago family has had three generations of boxers within the family. They continue their battle to become boxing champions while struggling with the difficulties of making life choices and breaking away from family tradition. Roberto Santiago (Tony Plana) is ill and struggles as he watches his family cope with the various hardships they must face. - CreatorMike GrayJohn MasonStarsRobert HaysChristopher Daniel BarnesMichael CavanaughAn alien returns to Earth years after an earlier visit to reunite with his Earth son and together, they search for the alien's human wife. This was the series version of the movie of the same name. Instead of Jeff Bridges, we get Robert Hayes from the "Airplane" movies as Starman. He returns to earth to find Jenny Hayden, the woman he left behind with the help of their son, Scott who hadn't seen her since he was a baby played by C. D. Barnes. Think of elements of "Touched by An Angel" and "Highway To Heaven" to describe the premise of this show because the two managed to help a lot of people along the way. Very sad casualty of low ratings and eventual cancellation.
- CreatorSteven SpielbergJoshua BrandJohn FalseyStarsCharles DurningDouglas SealeSharon SpelmanTruly amazing, fantastical, funny, and odd, and sometimes scary, sad, and endearing stories are portrayed. Many famous actors, actresses, and directors made guest appearances. Can't tell you how much I wanted this series to last. From the weird to the scary and sometimes, to the endearing, Steven Spielberg truly brought us some amazing stories with this show. My favorite episodes will always be "Thanksgiving", "Miscalculation", "The Mission" and "Go To the Head Of the Class". Wonderful show!
- CreatorJim HensonStarsJohn HurtBrian HensonFrederick WarderAn old storyteller tells European folk tales to his sarcastic dog. This was a show that wasn't afraid to tell the real versions of classic fairy tales, no matter how dark or disturbing. The stories weren't silly or sugarcoated for kids like things are nowadays and that's what I miss about this show. Plus, it was Jim Henson as his finest! :D
- CreatorGil GrantStarsWill LymanNancy ValenMark BallouTeen musical comedy about the students and teachers of Cordell Hull High, a hip, urban, racially-mixed high school. The breakdancing rap group the Hull High Devils serves as the modern version of the Greek chorus.Another musical show but this was set in a high school. This was basically the precursor to the "High School Musical" craze since it was made by the same people. Who knew back in the 90s that the show was just ahead of its time.
- CreatorShaun CassidyStarsGary ColeLucas BlackPaige TurcoA quiet, seemingly-quaint small town is ruled over by its charming yet evil sheriff who uses his demonic powers to remove anyone who dares to stand in his way. The only one he fears is a young boy he fathered through rape.Another horror/mystery show that was cancelled before we have the chance to figure out what exactly is going on. It centers around Caleb(Lucas Black) who's the result of his mother being raped by the town sheriff(Gary Cole) who is also the epitome of evil. An original premise that was unfortunately not appreciated at the time it was on the air.
- CreatorRalph BakshiStarsMichelle PhillipsCharlie AdlerLetitia HicksAn anthology of sexy and risque animated stories in a futuristic city with a seamy side.Huge fan of Ralph Bakshi and this series has his signature all over it. Racy images, graphic sexuality and violent situations ran rampant in this weekly series set in the near future. I wish Bakshi would have made more episodes because it was as spicy as its name suggests.
- StarsMatt FrewerAmanda PaysGeorge CoeIn the near future, an intrepid investigative TV reporter does his job with the help of his colleagues and a computerized version of himself.Set "20 minutes into the future", this ABC sci-fi series starred Matt Frewer as Edison Carter, an investigative reporter in a futuristic dystopian world where everything is run by corrupt television networks. After being injured in the field while investigating the corrupt practices of the networks, to save his memories, they are transferred into a computer program version of Edison calling himself "Max Headroom". Max learns very quickly and becomes not only an extension of Edison but a free-thinking entity unto himself.
- CreatorJose RiveraKarl SchaeferStarsOmri KatzJustin ShenkarowMary-Margaret HumesTeenage weirdness investigator Marshall Teller adventures through his new small-town home with his friends, geeky Simon Holmes and mysterious Dash X.Think of it as "Twilight Zone" meets "Goosebumps". The show centers around two boys, Marshall and Simon, and the weird town they live in. Not mainstream enough to stay on the air, but the show still has a massive cult following.
- CreatorSheila NevinsStarsLionel WilsonCynthia AdlerLarry Robinson"Braingames" originally a was a program that aired Mondays on HBO in 1983 and are also available as series of interactive videocassettes that integrate history, art, music, culture, and sports. Each cassette features two episodes, such as "Wrongovia" (Mystery and History), "Safari Solitaire" (Animal Quiz), "Memory Rock" (Memory Challenge), and many more.I loved this show because it was just so much fun! This was pretty much the predecessor for the show "Crashbox". The concept is the same, a kid's show that had various brain teasers to solve.
- StarsBryan ScottGabriela NelsonRobbie RistA teen rock band is abducted to a cartoon fantasy world where music is the key to defeating their enemies and finding their way home.I wish this went on for longer than it did and that it was more well known. Kidd Video and his band (Named Kidd, Carla, Ash, & Whiz) of the same name (played by live action performers in the first half of the title sequence) were practicing in a storage unit when an animated villain named the Master Blaster appeared, and transported them to the Master Blaster's home dimension, a cartoon world called the Flipside. The Master Blaster plans to use them as his musical slaves. They were rescued by a fairy named Glitter and subsequently spent each episode of the series either helping to free the denizens of the Flipside from the Master Blaster's rule, or trying to find a way back home to the "real world".
- CreatorJohn MoffittStarsAnne BloomDanny BreenLucy WebbAn offbeat look at current events, often by dubbing over news video with farcical commentary. How could you not love a show where real news footage is hilariously overdubbed and had a segment called ''Sniglets?"
- CreatorDavid GuggenheimStarsKiefer SutherlandAdan CantoItalia RicciA low-level Cabinet member becomes President of the United States after a catastrophic attack kills everyone above him in the line of succession. This show was like if Jack Bauer from "24" became President! Kiefer Sutherland stars as Thomas Kirkman, an American academic named as the designated survivor for the State of the Union address, who suddenly ascends from the position of U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to President of the United States after an explosion kills everyone ahead of him in the presidential line of succession. Kirkman deals with his inexperience as head of state while looking to uncover the truth behind the attack. The show was an intriguing thriller and I wish ABC didn't cancel it in the first place. Most people who watched it there didn't follow it to Netflix and it just died there. :(
- CreatorMisha GreenStarsJonathan MajorsJurnee SmollettCourtney B. VanceA young African-American travels across the U.S. in the 1950s in search of his missing father. This series was about Atticus Freeman(Jonathan Majors) as he joins up with his friend Letitia(Jurnee Smollett) and his Uncle George(Courtney B. Vance) to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father. This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback. Such an original and complex series that was prematurely canceled. Why does HBO keep doing this to shows I love?! >:(
- CreatorNeal BrennanDave ChappelleStarsDave ChappelleDonnell RawlingsRudy RushComedian Dave Chappelle hosts this sketch-comedy show that parodies many of the nuances of race and culture.I get that the cancellation of this show was entirely Dave Chappelle's idea because he wasn't please with what Comedy Central wanted the direction of the show to be, but it was still the funniest show on air and I wish they could have come to a compromise that would have made both parties happy, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. I would have killed for more seasons just for the "Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories" skits.
- StarsAaron MahnkeEmmett J ScanlanPaula MalcomsonOur collective nightmare mythologies are rooted in real-life horror stories. This 2017 series was an American horror anthology television series developed by the creator of the podcast of the same name, Aaron Mahnke. It followed the podcast's anthology format with each episode featuring a new story. The show combines documentary footage and cinematic scenes to tell horror stories and their origins, and features Robert Patrick, Holland Roden, and Colm Feore. I wish I knew about this before it got canceled. :(
- CreatorBryan FullerMichael GreenStarsRicky WhittleEmily BrowningYetide BadakiA recently released ex-convict named Shadow meets a mysterious man who calls himself "Wednesday" and who knows more than he first seems to about Shadow's life and past. This is another example of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" that happens when too many cooks are in the kitchen and messes up the stew. When you have four showrunners in the course of three seasons, each one worse than the last and it's running off the actors that portray the show's most beloved characters, i.e. Mr. Nancy, Mad Sweeney, Ostera, the original Media, The Djinn etc., that's when you know a show is in trouble. It upsets me how fast this show went downhill and it didn't deserve it. :(
- CreatorNick AntoscaStarsBrandon ScottMarina Stephenson KerrAbigail PniowskyAn anthology series based on popular Internet Creepypastas Candle Cove, The No-End House, Butcher's Block, and The Dream Door.Channel Zero was an American horror anthology television series based on popular creepypastas, which are the Internet's version of spooky campfire stories. Each season was dedicated to a different story.
Season One: "Candle Cove" was based on the story of the same name by Kris Straub about a strange and disturbing pirate kids' show; Season Two: "No-End House" was based on the story of the same name by Brian Russell about a haunted house with no way out.
Season Three: "Butcher's Block" was loosely based on an entry in the short story "Search and Rescue" called "Stairs" about random staircases just appearing in a field going nowhere. The show expanded on this making the story about a family of immortal cannibals. Season Four: "The Dream Door" based on the story of the same name by Charlotte Bywater about a couple who find a mysterious door in their new home and the creature living behind it.
There are tons of creepypastas on the Internet that would have been great for this show. Too bad the show's creator didn't want to continue. :( - StarsLes LyeAbby HagyardChristine McGladeSketch TV by young amateur actors in true classic Nick-style. But whatever you do, never admit that you don't know or ask for water. This was the show that pretty much defined my childhood. A cool and quirky sketch comedy show that was one of the early successes of a then unknown upstart cable channel called "Nickelodeon". I wish there was a channel that only showed classic Nick shows for people like me who miss them and this should be at the top of the list! :D
- CreatorFrancisco AngonesMatt YoungbergStarsDavid TennantBen SchwartzDanny PudiThe comedy-adventure series chronicles the high-flying adventures of trillionaire Scrooge McDuck; his temperamental nephew Donald Duck; grandnephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie; Launchpad McQuack; and Mrs. Beakley and her granddaughter Webby. This reboot was head and shoulders above the 1987 original. I've always believed that if you wrote smart dialog and came up with compelling storylines that weren't dumbed down and insulting to kids' intelligence, you'd have a quality show. This show was a masterpiece that should have gone on for way more than just 3 seasons. :(
- CreatorLauren FaustBonnie ZacherleStarsAshleigh BallTara StrongTabitha St. GermainAfter learning that her friends, as well as herself, are the magical Elements of Harmony, studious unicorn Twilight Sparkle is sent by her mentor, Princess Celestia, to Ponyville to study the magic of friendship with help from her friends.Just like Ducktales 2017, this reboot was miles ahead of its predecessors with fleshed out characters, compelling storylines, and catchy songs. I hate that this version has come to an end, especially since I love all the characters and will miss them dearly, but at the same time, I'm really curious to see what the Gen 5 ponies are going to be like.
- CreatorBruno HellerStarsJack BannonRyan FletcherDorothy AtkinsonThe origin story of Alfred Pennyworth, a former special-forces soldier living in London and how he came to work for Bruce Wayne's father. This show explores the early life of the titular Wayne family butler, Alfred Pennyworth(Jack Bannon), a former British soldier of the Special Air Service (SAS), years before the events of Gotham. After serving in the Malayan Emergency, he aims to form his own security company in an alternate history London, which combines aspects of the Mid 1960s with invented events and practices inspired by V for Vendetta, such as a modern civil war and televised public executions.
Unfortunately, this show was a victim of the COVID pandemic, putting production on hold thus pushing the release dates further and further back, giving the audience the idea that the show had already been canceled. It eventually did happened. :( - CreatorDavid CollinsStarsTed AllenCarson KressleyKyan DouglasFive gay men try to improve the lives and confidence of straight men by giving them makeovers and advice.Queer Eye was me and my mom's obsession years ago! We loved these guys! The show is premised on and plays with the stereotypes that gay men are superior in matters of fashion, style, personal grooming, interior design and culture. In each episode, the team of five gay men(Ted Allen, Kyan Douglas, Thom Filicia, Carson Kressley and Jai Rodriguez) known collectively as the "Fab Five" perform a makeover (in the parlance of the show, a "make-better") on a person, usually a straight man, revamping his wardrobe, redecorating his home and offering advice on grooming, lifestyle and food
- CreatorBob KushellBill PradyStarsDave GoelzEric JacobsonBill BarrettaJim Henson's lovable Muppets return to the small screen in this mockumentary-style series that follows their personal and professional lives. This series was set in Los Angeles and depicted the everyday personal and professional lives of The Muppets during production of Up Late with Miss Piggy; a fictional late-night talk show starring Miss Piggy. I swear to God, I don't understand some people! This show was hilarious and it got axed unfairly just because it wasn't the same format of the original Muppet Show. People need to realize that variety shows went out in the early 80s. It wouldn't work today. The show didn't fail because it was bad, the audience's misplaced nostalgia made it fail. >:(
- StarsTony HaleKristen SchaalMaameYaa BoafoA group of gifted orphans are recruited by an eccentric benefactor to go on a secret mission. This was a 2021 Disney series based on the children's books by Trenton Lee Stewart. The series stars Tony Hale as Mr. Benedict, who gathers four children, Raynie, George aka "Sticky", Kate and Constance, to stop a global emergency. Hale also portrays Benedict's twin brother, Mr. Curtain, who is the founder of the school the children infiltrate. This was a great show for all ages featuring very smart and resourceful children. It had more books that was supposed to be adapted from the series, but I guess Disney didn't want to finish it. :(
- CreatorRebecca SonnenshineStarsMamoudou AthieDina ShihabiEvan JonigkeitAn archivist hired to restore a collection of tapes finds himself reconstructing the work of a filmmaker and her investigation into a dangerous cult. Why does Netflix always cancels shows that are truly original and complex? This supernatural thriller was about Dan Turner(Mamoudou Athie), who is hired by a mysterious company to restore video footage of a grad student named Melody Pendras's(Dina Shihabi) documentary project on an apartment building that burned down due to a mysterious god worshiping cult.
- CreatorChristopher L. YostStarsJohn ChoMustafa ShakirDaniella PinedaA ragtag crew of bounty hunters chases down the galaxy's most dangerous criminals. They'll save the world--for the right price. This is precisely why I f**king HATE die-hard anime fans! Yes, this series isn't an exact copy of the original show, but I liked that it was taking the source material and making it's own thing out of it. But due to the fan backlash and the show's costs, it was unjustly axed! >:(
- CreatorBede BlakeRobert ButlerStarsVictoria DiamondWilliam RomainJaiden CannatelliCreeped Out is a series of spellbinding, enchanting, intriguing tales. Each episode is a different story set in a different place and time, with different characters exploring their way through the unexplained. In the same vein as "Goosebumps" and "Are You Afraid of the Dark", "Creeped Out" was a BAFTA-winning British-Canadian anthology children's horror television series where each standalone story is linked together by 'The Curious', a mysterious story collector who appears at the beginning and end of each episode.
- CreatorValerie ArmstrongStarsAnnie MurphyRaymond LeeEric PetersenA look at the secret life of a sitcom wife. Why do people hate something that's truly original? The premise of a show presenting two different perspectives of the main characters is something I've never seen on television before. Part sitcom, part drama, KCFH shows the dramatic point of view of a sitcom wife and it's not remotely funny as it is from the perspective of her TV husband's.
The show did end the way it wanted to end, but it was hollow. It was like reading the first chapter of a book and then reading the last. You're cutting out the parts in the middle that make the journey satisfying and that's what this show was severely missing. - CreatorTravis BeachamRené EchevarriaStarsOrlando BloomCara DelevingneSimon McBurneyA human detective and a fairy rekindle a dangerous affair in a Victorian fantasy world, where the city's uneasy peace collapses when a string of murders reveals an unimaginable monster. The series follows mythological beings who must survive as oppressed refugees in human society, as a detective works to solve murders connected with them. This show suffered from the same fate as "Kevin Can F**k Himself" in that it did get it's ending, but it was premature. Everything was rushed and key elements of the story were missing thus leading to an unsatisfying ending.
- CreatorVera MiaoStarsLauri HendlerWei-Yi LinMardy MaThis anthology series of terror features diverse characters facing primal fears in spine-chilling situations that stretch past daily routine. Two Sentence Horror Stories was an American anthology horror television series based on the writing technique of the same name. The first season consists of nine 20-minute episodes, each of which has a self-contained plot and characters. The series began as a series of five short films before The CW adapted it as a regular series. I hate when unique concepts in TV shows don't last. :(
- CreatorSally SussmanStarsKelly RutherfordKristoff St. JohnJoan PringleSoap opera about two families, one black and one white. The first television soap opera centered mostly around an African-American family. I miss this show very much and wish that I could see where the lives of all these characters would have gone. I guess it's for the best since soaps nowadays are dying off one by one. :(

Underground follows the story of American heroes and their moving journey to freedom. In 1857, a group of slaves on a Georgia plantation known as the Macon 7 make the dangerous decision to journey 600 miles north for the promise of freedom. I didn't want to add this show to the list because I was hoping it could get resurrected on another network, but now I know it's officially over. :(
- CreatorBranden Jacobs-JenkinsStarsMallori JohnsonMicah StockRyan KwantenA young aspiring writer discovers secrets about her family's past when she finds herself mysteriously being pulled back and forth in time to a 19th century plantation. This 2022 American science fiction television series was developed by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins and based on the novel of the same name written by Octavia E. Butler. It's about an Afro-American woman named Dana who has just moved to Los Angeles to establish a life close to her only remaining family, her Aunt Denise, when she gets pulled back in time to the 19th century in the Antebellum South.
The time setting of the modern setting is changed to 2016. I'm so sad that we won't get to see what happens next, but at least fans can read the novel. - CreatorVince ManzeDeborah McKayStarsChristopher WolfEddie GarciaDamon SharpeIn the spirit of Kidd Video (and supposedly an alternative to New Kids on the Block), the Guys Next Door was about five guys who lived in a huge house. The show consisted of comedy skits and music videos, which starred the Guys themselves. This was like the Monkees, 90s style. At the time, New Kids on the Block was the hottest act on the planet and this show was NBC's way of cashing in on that by forming their own boy band. Almost the same way the Monkees were formed as an American version of the Beatles. Liked the songs, loved the guys. Not exactly a deep show, but who cares?! :D
- StarsSiobhan Fallon HoganBrad SlaightSheila LussierHaywire was a sketch comedy television series aired by Fox as part of its 1990-91 lineup. This show was a sketch comedy show that ran from 90-91 on Fox. It was zany, offbeat and out of it's mind, which is why I liked it. I guess to most people, it was too over the top. :(
- CreatorGeraldine LaybourneRoger Damon PriceStarsCraig WarnockJonathan Edward GoodmanTimothy J ReidA series comprised entirely of short (several per episode) comedy sketches. Recurring bits included "Kentucky Boys," a pair of stereotypical hicks discussing life; "Ivan Tellalie," Soviet newscaster (and Hero of Soviet Union, 23rd Class); and animated sequences involving the turkey that created TV. The show also included clips from Monty Python and other classic comedies. How could I forget this gem from my childhood? A show on Nickelodeon featuring various comedy sketches, music videos and parodies from all over the world. Funny show!
- CreatorAlan SpencerStarsDavid RascheAnne-Marie MartinHarrison PageThe adventures of a deranged and dumb police detective who always looks for the most violent solution to any problem.LOL! This show was like "Dirty Harry" meets "The Naked Gun". It was basically a spoof on those cop on the edge personas you saw in Clint Eastwood and Charles Bronson movies in the 80s taken to the nth degree. Hilarious show!
- CreatorTerry GrossmanKathy SpeerStarsMarilyn KentzCaryl KristensenSam GifaldiTwo typical moms, Marilyn and Caryl, live a suburban life with husbands Jack and Paul plus assorted children. Their neighborhood is shaken up by perfect Barb, house dad Tom, and Marilyn's divorce from Jack.I wish this show had a chance to be tweaked because I've always loved Caryl Kristensen and Marilyn Kentz and their stand-up shows. Unfortunately, their stand-up act didn't translate well to the small screen.
- CreatorAlfred GoughMiles MillarStarsDaniel WuOrla BradyEmily BeechamA mighty warrior and a young boy with supernatural powers search for enlightenment in a ruthless post-apocalyptic America controlled by feudal barons. This martial arts drama starring Daniel Wu was set in a post-apocalyptic world approximately 500 years after a war that left civilization in ruins. Many elements of technology, such as electricity and ground vehicles, have survived the apocalypse but society now shuns guns, leading to a reliance on melee weaponry and crossbows.
In a territory known as the Badlands, a feudal society has developed to fill the power vacuum left by the war. Barons control land and monopolies over commodities like opium and fuel, trading amongst themselves to maintain the peace. Each baron is served by a massive workforce of slaves called cogs, as well as a prostitute class called dolls. A baron maintains power through a corps of young men and women called clippers: highly trained and loyal warriors, clippers are forbidden from marrying and having children lest their loyalties are divided. Each clipper force is captained by a regent. This was such an epic series and I can't believe AMC got rid of it! >:( - CreatorDan CrossDavid HogeStarsMadison ReyesCharlie GillespieOwen Patrick JoynerJulie is a teenage girl who finds her passion for music and life with the help of a high -concept band of teen boys (The Phantoms) who have been dead for 25 years. Julie, in turn, helps them become the band they were never able to be.This was such a cute show that I recently discovered scrolling through Netflix. I'll admit, the dialog between the teen characters seemed really forced and cringy, like how 40 something year old writers believe teenagers talk and I thought they should have used an older actress to play Julie because she looked like a middle schooler having crushes and relationships with guys that look way older than her, but other than those minor gripes, I did like the characters and I absolutely LOVED the music and choreography. I'm so disappointed with Netflix for not renewing this show. I hope that it finds a new life on another streaming channel. hint*Disney*hint
- CreatorBaran bo OdarJantje FrieseStarsEmily BeechamAneurin BarnardAndreas PietschmannMultinational immigrants traveling from the old continent to the new encounter a nightmarish riddle aboard a second ship adrift on the open sea.Set in 1899, the series follows a group of European emigrants travelling from Southampton, UK on a steamship named Kerberos to start new lives in New York City, US. Many of the passengers have secrets and reasons for being on the ship and nothing is as it seems. Really original storytelling and I loved watching the mystery unfold, but unfortunately, we will never get a proper conclusion. :(
- CreatorSam ShawDustin ThomasonStarsBill SkarsgårdAndré HollandLizzy CaplanA psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. This 2018 series combines "the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland. It was great seeing Stephen King's characters and places being used in different ways. Annie Wilkes, Alan Pangborn, Ace Merrill, "Pop" Merrill, Jerusalem's Lot, the Marsten House, etc. I would have loved to see more twists in the SK universe, but HULU decided not to renew the series. :(

- CreatorMike FlanaganLeah FongStarsIman BensonIgby RigneyRuth CoddAt a hospice for terminally ill young adults, eight patients come together every night at midnight to tell each other stories - and make a pact that the next of them to die will give the group a sign from the beyond. This series is set in a hospice and follows eight terminally ill young adults who form "the Midnight Club", meeting up each night to tell each other scary tales; it features an overarching story while also frequently depicting those tales on-screen. Although mostly based on the 1994 novel The Midnight Club by Christopher Pike, the series also contains elements from many other Pike books, featured in the "Midnight Club" tales themselves. The last season ended on a cliffhanger and I'm sad that we will never find out about the ghosts, the cult, or how any of the events were connected... JUST LIKE CARNIVALE!!! >:(
- CreatorFrank LupoStarsJohn J. YorkLance LeGaultChuck ConnorsGrad student Eric Cord becomes infected with lycanthropy after his friend turns into a werewolf and attacks him. Now, Eric and his girlfriend are after the monster that infected his friend, and a tough cowboy bounty hunter pursues Eric.An old Fox network show starring John J. York as Eric Cord, a young college student who was transformed into a werewolf by his friend. Now to sever the bloodline and get his life back, he has to find a drifter named Janos Skorzeny, played by the late Chuck Connors(this was actually his last role), who he thinks is the originator of his bloodline. Another show I wish had the chance to continue.
- CreatorRob CohenStarsRussell WongJason Leland AdamsStephanie NiznikHunted by the authorities for a murder he didn't commit, a man races against time to prove his innocence and unmask the real perpetratorsRussell Wong starred as Jian-Wa Chang, a musician who escaped from the People's Republic of China after being involved in a student demonstration against the government. He and his brother Wago escaped to the USA; he pursued his music while Wago became drawn to a life of organized crime.
Wago and two US Federal Agents are killed; Jian-Wa is held responsible, but a Vietnamese mafioso known as "The General" (Haing S. Ngor) is behind the murders. Jian-Wa becomes a fugitive, using his wisdom, music, and martial arts skills to solve problems along the way, on his quest to bring "The General" to justice. As he helps others while traveling, he is aided by the spirit of his murdered brother Wago. I was too in love with Russell Wong because of this series!! :D <3 - StarsPaolo MontalbanDaniel BernhardtKristanna LokenKung Lao has triumphed in the Mortal Kombat tournament, defeating Shang Tsung and saving Earth Realm. Only Mackey, a hustler, ex-con and Nick's main contact on the street, and Alice West, the paper's editor, know his true identity. This was pretty much a poor man's "Miami Vice" complete with a black and a white guy solving crimes(not as detectives but as an investigative reporter and an ex-con) and a rockin' theme song(this time by Genesis not Jan Hammer). It was not as hard hitting or as edgy as "Miami Vice" but I thought it was great in it's own way and I personally thought Nicholas Campbell and Stoney Jackson were way hotter than Don Johnson or Phillip M. Thomas. ;)

Along the way they learn important Life Lessons about getting along, communicating, and how to be a friend. There is usually also a sub-plot centering around the club's sibling-like dog and cat, Nuzzle and Sizzle.Even though I was in high school when this show was on, I use to watch it when I would babysit my niece who was around two at the time. I thought this was an adorable show that mostly focused on race relations and cultural differences between six children.
Leon, who's black from NYC... Skye, who's Native American from Arizona... Kiki, who's Mexican American from San Antonio, TX... Julie, who's Chinese American from San Francisco, CA... Ben, who's white from South Dakota and Jody, who's Jewish from Cincinnati, OH who all come together at this magical playhouse called the Puzzle Place to share their cultural customs with one another. A sweet and wonderful show that only lasted three seasons and then abruptly cancelled with no reruns. It's sad because very few people even remember this show while crap like "Barney and Friends" and "The Wiggles" will seemingly never die. :P - StarsSeth GreenMaggie WheelerJim MeskimenAnimated anthology series featuring four different segments.*C-O-M-I-C... S-T-R-I-P, come and take a trip on the Comic Strip!!* I remember this show like it was yesterday. Another show that very few remember but me and my siblings absolutely loved! The Comic Strip was a show featuring four different cartoons. "Tiger Sharks" was pretty much a show in the same vein as "Thundercats" and "Silver Hawks" mainly because it was made by the same people about anamorphic sea people. "Karate Kat" was about a mild mannered cat who was a secret karate expert using his skills to fight crime. "Mini-Monsters" was about a camp that catered to the children of famous monsters and the normal brother and sister who were accidentally sent there and "Street Frogs" was about, get this, hip hop frogs!! When I say hip hop, I mean rappers. :D
- StarsDave CoulierDiz McNallyMarty SchiffDave and his friends host this zany sketch comedy variety show for kids.Another comedic gem from Nickelodeon's golden era. This starred Dave Coulier as “himself” hosting an outrageous news program (of sorts) that was more about the “news” show being made than it was about the news being presented by its quirky cast of characters. Some reoccurring sketches were Are We There Yet?, Let's Eat, How Not To Do Things and Fast-Told Fairy Tales. A quirky show that unfortunately only lasted on season. :(
- StarsLydia ZajcDavid CollardStacey ArnoldA group of kids investigate and oppose an extra-terrestrial conspiracy against their town as a community newspaper staff. This was a show that I remember having to watch in elementary school. It was an old PBS show who main goal of the show was to educate viewers in reading, writing and history. When three kids explore a coach house held by a missing Uncle of one of the kids, they discover far more than they bargained.
They discover two robots, Otto and Theta, who tell them about a dire threat of a conspiracy against the town. By accident, they also discover a teleport machine that can take them to planet Trialveron controlled by the alien tyrant, Duneedon. Against this threat, the kids decide to use the coach-house as the base for a community newspaper both to keep the building and investigate the conspiracy. Along the way, they learn about writing and its various practical uses as they fight the alien forces that oppose them. This show use to scare the bejesus out of me! The show starred Benjamin Bratt, Don Franklin, Craig Hurley, Jeff Kaake, James Pax, and Dennis Franz, who played Lieutenant Stan Krieger.
