- DirectorStanley KubrickStarsKeir DulleaGary LockwoodWilliam SylvesterAfter uncovering a mysterious artifact buried beneath the Lunar surface, a spacecraft is sent to Jupiter to find its origins: a spacecraft manned by two men and the supercomputer HAL 9000.I thought it was so boring!!! With the exception of Hal 9000, this film was a waste of my time, especially the stupid ending!! I want that 142 minutes of my life back (284, technically, because I was stupid enough to watch it twice)!
- DirectorHugh HudsonStarsBen CrossIan CharlesonNicholas FarrellTwo British track athletes, one a determined Jew and the other a devout Christian, are driven to win in the 1924 Olympics as they wrestle with issues of pride and conscience.BORING!! I admire the film for its religious themes, but it's too dull to really care.
- DirectorSydney PollackStarsMeryl StreepRobert RedfordKlaus Maria BrandauerIn 20th-century colonial Kenya, a Danish baroness/plantation owner has a passionate love affair with a free-spirited big-game hunter.Long and boring! How did this beat Raiders of the Lost Ark?!?!?
- DirectorFrancis Ford CoppolaStarsMartin SheenMarlon BrandoRobert DuvallA U.S. Army officer serving in Vietnam is tasked with assassinating a renegade Special Forces Colonel who sees himself as a god.It was a GOOD movie, but I wouldn't say it was great. It had some boring parts, and I thought Brando's character should have had more time in the film. He and Duvall's characters were the most interesting characters in the film.
- DirectorDavid LeanStarsPeter O'TooleAlec GuinnessAnthony QuinnThe story of T.E. Lawrence, the English officer who successfully united and led the diverse, often warring, Arab tribes during World War I in order to fight the Turks. It's a GOOD movie! Quite entertaining about 80% of the time, but it's kinda slow at other times. And, finally, some of its majesty is ruined by how historically inaccurate it is.
- DirectorMike NicholsStarsDustin HoffmanAnne BancroftKatharine RossA disillusioned college graduate finds himself torn between his older lover and her daughter. It's good, but it's not the wonderful film everyone says it is.
- DirectorCarl ReinerStarsSteve MartinBernadette PetersCatlin AdamsA simpleminded, sheltered country boy suddenly decides to leave his family home to experience life in the big city, where his naivete is both his best friend and his worst enemy.I honestly did not think it was that funny. It did have some great moments, and Steve Martin was brilliant! However, there was a lot of the film that was kinda slow-moving and not that interesting.
