He waves some more, and the birds disappear one by one, finally replaced with a very happy cat. Two ducks dance as ballerinas; then one fox and one duck, but the second duck is not as easily captured.

When he returns to the raid in progress, he finds himself powerless to stop it. He dynamites the ant hill, but that only separates the ledge he's standing on, and he finds himself in the river again as the ants finish off a cupcake.

The Fox becomes famous while his old partner is on skid row, cold and hungry. One night, the Crow appears backstage at the concert Hall and hands a magician's wand to the Fox as he goes onstage. Using the wand as a baton, everything that can go wrong goes wrong for the snooty maestro, and the audience begins to boo. Crow then makes his stage entry and saves the day with his one-man band routine.

But Marvin does whatever he possibly can to thwart Bilgewater's plans if only because he wants a human boy as a son instead of a chicken. The illustrator has a specific reason for telling his dog Christopher's story.

The animals soon develop cabin fever and get restless, but Mrs. Noah has the answer: "Music has charms to soothe the savage beast." His sons find instruments and begin playing; everyone dances. But Harry the hippo dances with everyone but his wife; Noah goes to her, and while she tells him not to mention Harry's name, Noah convinces her that Harry is thinking only of her. The rains end; Noah sends a dove out who brings back an olive branch. They land on Mount Ararat and disembark.

After he's rescued, the rest of the elephants are terrified of a mouse, but Goliath II stands his ground.

A baton-toting conductor note tries to direct his fellow notes in performing this musical piece, but finds that one of the notes has become drunk after being inside the sheet music for "Little Brown Jug". The drunken note staggers goofily on the staves for the music of "The Blue Danube" and is chased by the conductor.
