When Carlease Burke rented John Travolta "The Cadillac of Mini Vans" in the film Get Shorty (1995), she wondered if her unusual name would land her the high octane jobs in Hollywood. Director Barry Sonnenfeld said it did and there have been other high beams in her film acting career: In Her Shoes (2005) opposite Cameron Diaz and Toni Collette, directed by Curtis Hanson; and The Terminal (2004) with Tom Hanks, directed by Steven Spielberg.
Manufactured in New York City, Ms. Burke was encouraged to go into show business by her childhood dentist in her hometown of Hollis, Queens. After graduating with a BA in Pre-Law from City College of New York and a couple of Off-Broadway shows under her timing belt, she steered west to work with Timothy Busfieldin his children's company, The Fantasy Theatre.
Most recently, Carlease has maintained stability in national commercials such as GEICO (A Bird In The Hand), Pfizer(mytimetoquit) Macy's, Verizon, and Honda.
Her first TV credit was a recurring role on the hit soap opera The Young and The Restless. Her ever expanding list of guest star credits now include Castle (2009), Pilot (2012), Going the Distance? (2011), Hot in Cleveland (2010), Raising Hope, Hawthorne, Flash Forward, Heroes, Southland, NCIS, Grey's Anatomy, Bones, The Riches, Desperate Housewives, Malcolm in the Middle, Without a Trace, Monk, and How I Met Your Mother. Carlease's knowledge of American Sign Language paved the way to the role of Principal Jennifer Kramer in the Hallmark movie of the week, Sweet Nothing in My Ear (2008), starring Marlee Matlin and 'Jeff Daniels (I)'.
Carlease also spins her wheels in live theatre. She played The Nurse in Boston Court's Romeo & Juliet. Her exhilarating and confident performance earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress by the NAACP. Ms. Burke most recently portrayed Aunt Ester in August Wilson's Gem of the Ocean at The Fountain Theatre; Hattie in Helen at The Getty Villa and Mary in L. Trey Wilson's All About Esther (an "urban" version of the classic film All About Eve).
Under the hood of her production company, Bits N Pieces Productions is Laugh-A-Latte, a monthly stand-up comedy show that Ms. Burke produced in Long Beach, CA for 5 consecutive years. She has filmed a documentary short about the creation of this unique comedy show, its diversity and value to the deaf and hearing communities. Her reality solo show, Fifty! It Doesn't Look This Good on Everybody was the winner of the Actors Repertory's 2nd Annual Solo Show Festival. Bits n Pieces has also produced Ask A Stage Goddess, a series of advice videos on YouTube for people pursing or navigating a career in show business.
In her free time, she enjoys riding her bicycle near the ocean, swimming, water yoga, trying out new recipes, traveling, hula hooping, playing bid whist and learning how the play the djembe (African drum)."Dexter": Season 1, Episode 4

Denise Michelle Crosby was born on November 24, 1957 in Hollywood, California. Denise graduated from Hollywood High School in 1975 and attended Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz where she enrolled in the Drama Department. Forming part of the extensive Crosby family dynasty, this striking leading actress, daughter of entertainer Dennis Crosby, has appeared in film and television since the early 1980s. A photo spread in a 1979 issue of Playboy magazine and a role in the soap opera Days of Our Lives (1965) in 1980 allowed Denise to break through to stardom. She had a small role in 48 Hrs. (1982), playing the villain's girlfriend, and parts in Trail of the Pink Panther (1982) and Curse of the Pink Panther (1983) (both critically unsuccessful). Her career began to pick up in the mid-1980s. She appeared in a variety of films and made-for-TV movies, including Stark (1985), Malice in Wonderland (1985) (playing Carole Lombard), Desert Hearts (1985), Eliminators (1986) and Miracle Mile (1988).
In 1987, Denise caught her big break playing Lieutenant Tasha Yar in Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987). Although not a huge role, the character allowed Denise to build a sizable fan base that exists to this day. In 1988, she left the series due to the diminishing size of her role, but returned as a guest star in the early 1990s. In 1989, she played the mother of a dead toddler who was brought back to life through an ancient curse in Stephen King's somewhat hokey horror novel film adaptation Pet Sematary (1989). Remaining in the horror genre, Denise played a similar role of a mother who discovers her young daughter's doll is evil in the Child's Play (1988) clone Dolly Dearest (1991).
The 1990s brought few opportunities to Denise, but she worked consistently, appearing in a television series in 1993, and made numerous guest appearances, including a couple of episodes of the raunchy cable series Red Shoe Diaries (1992), which were subsequently released on video. There were also roles in Relative Fear (1994), Mutant Species (1994), Dream Man (1995) and Executive Power (1997). More high-profile work arrived in the form of a small role in Jackie Brown (1997), playing a public defender, and a sizable part as a pregnant mother in the hit disaster movie Deep Impact (1998). She gained recognition as a "Star Trek" fan by producing and presenting Trekkies (1997) and its sequel Trekkies 2 (2004).
Since 2000, Denise has appeared on television in guest roles on The X-Files (1993), JAG (1995), The Agency (2001), Threat Matrix (2003), Eyes (2005) and Dexter (2006). She acted in the award-winning short film The Bus Stops Here (2003), had a leading role in the western/horror indie film Legend of the Phantom Rider (2002) and has recently appeared in a horror film by legendary genre director Tobe Hooper, Mortuary (2005). This capable actress continues to appear on television and in film. Best known for her "Star Trek" days, Denise embraces her fans often at conventions and was appearing opposite her husband Ken Sylk in the drama film Ripple Effect (2007)."Dexter": Season 1, Episode 3

Actor, director, producer Tony Goldwyn just finished a sold-out run of director Ivo Van Hove's Broadway production of "Network" with Bryan Cranston and Tatiana Maslany. He can be seen on the Netflix series, "Chambers," starring with Uma Thurman. Recently he concluded his role as 'President Fitzgerald Grant' in Shonda Rhimes' remarkable series "Scandal" after its seven-season run. Goldwyn continues to juggle multiple projects both behind and in front of the camera. Previously he appeared in the feature film "Mark Felt - The Man Who Brought Down the White House" as part of an all-star cast including Liam Neeson and Diane Lane. He also starred with Sharon Stone in the indie rom-com "All I Wish." Additionally, Goldwyn starred in MGM's release, "The Belko Experiment," written and produced by James Gunn. Formerly, he co-created and executive produced the critically acclaimed series "The Divide" for AMC Studios. Goldwyn directed the two hour pilot while partner Richard LaGravenese wrote the episodes. He also took on the controversial figure Warren Jeffs, starring in the Lifetime movie, "Outlaw Prophet: Warren Jeffs" and appeared in the hit features "Divergent" and "Insurgent" based on the YA novels by Veronica Roth. In addition to acting on the shows, Goldwyn directed multiple episodes of "Scandal" along with an episode of his latest series, "Chambers." More television directing credits include prestigious programs such as "Dexter," "Justified," "Law & Order," "Damages," "Grey's Anatomy," and "The L Word," among others. Goldwyn made an auspicious feature directorial debut with "A Walk on the Moon" starring Diane Lane and Viggo Mortensen. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and went on to receive universal praise from critics as well as winning a special recognition from the National Board of Review for Excellence in Independent Filmmaking. Goldwyn first read Pamela Gray's script five years earlier and shepherded it through multiple drafts until Dustin Hoffman came on board as a producer and got the project financed. Coincidentally when Gray originally wrote the screenplay as her Master's Thesis at UCLA Film School, she won the prestigious Samuel Goldwyn Writing Award - an honor established by Goldwyn's paternal grandfather, the legendary film producer.
Further feature directing credits include "The Last Kiss," based on Gabriele Muccino's "L'Ultimo Bacio," for which Goldwyn received Best Director from the Boston Film Festival, and the romantic comedy "Someone Like You." His last effort, "Conviction," starring Hilary Swank and Sam Rockwell, which Goldwyn also produced, earned Swank a SAG Award nomination, won Best Film at the Boston Film Festival and was awarded a Freedom of Expression honor from the National Board of Review. As an actor, Goldwyn first caught audiences' attention with his portrayal of the villain in the box office smash "Ghost." He went on to appear in numerous other films including "The Pelican Brief" with Julia Roberts and Denzel Washington, "Kiss The Girls," Oliver Stone's "Nixon," "The Substance of Fire," "The Last Samurai" opposite Tom Cruise, and the remake of Wes Craven's classic "The Last House on the Left." He is familiar to children as the title voice in Disney's animated feature "Tarzan." His other television acting credits include "The Good Wife," "Dexter," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Without A Trace," "The L Word," the HBO Mini-Series "From The Earth To The Moon," "Frasier," "Murphy Brown," and "Designing Women," where he touchingly portrayed the first AIDS victim on a prime time series. Goldwyn began his acting career on the stage, spending seven seasons at the Williamstown Theater Festival. His New York theater credits include "The Water's Edge" at the 2nd Stage Theater, "The Dying Gaul" at the Vineyard Theater, "Holiday" at The Circle in the Square opposite Laura Linney, "Spike Heels" with Kevin Bacon at 2nd Stage, "The Sum of Us" at the Cherry Lane Theater, for which he earned an Obie Award and "Digby" at the Manhattan Theater Club. He last appeared on Broadway starring in the hit revival of the musical "Promises, Promises." He also dedicates much of his personal time to philanthropic work. Goldwyn serves as an Ambassador for Stand Up To Cancer and a board member for the humanitarian relief organization Americares. Additionally, he is a Trustee for Second Stage Theater, sits on the MPTF Foundation Board of Governors as well as the Board of Trustees at the Innocence Project. Known for "Our Flag Means Death", "Mr and Mrs Smith", "American Horror Story: Hotel", "For All Mankind", "Shameless", "In Her Shoes", "School And Board", "Safety Geeks: SVI", "The Annunciation", "How I Met Your Mother", "Trouble Is My Business", Highway To Hell", "Macon County War".
Benton has to date been awarded 27 Best Actor Awards from Film Festivals internationally for his role as Rabbi in the film "The Annunciation".
Benton began acting at age seven, portraying his boyhood hero "Robin Hood" in a school play. Thirty years later, he reprised the character in a professional theatrical production, plus choreographing the fight sequences.
A 4th generation Texan, he fulfilled another boyhood dream -- that of performing in an Alamo movie...and not just one, but two Alamo movies.
He earned a BFA in theatre arts from TCU (Texas Christian University) with additional studies in cinematography. Studies also include London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, The Film Actors Lab in Dallas, DeVera Marcus' Improv Class in L.A., & numerous L.A. voice-over coaches.
Benton has performed in over 100 stage productions and national tours including 25 years with 2 partners in an award winning sketch comedy act -- "The Gunfighters" -- with over 6000 performances nationally, quite literally everywhere from being introduced onstage by Tony Randall at Madison Square Garden to performing alongside Clayton Moore of The Lone Ranger (1949) fame at a festival in Texas. In Los Angeles Benton was a member of the hit Sketch Comedy troupe "Good Spanky" and also a charter member of the SkyPilot Theatre company having performed lead roles in critically and publicly acclaimed productions of "Taking Sides" by Ronald Harwood as conductor Wilhelm Furtwängler, "Death And The Maiden" by Ariel Dorfman as Dr. Roberto Miranda, and "Requiem For A Heavyweight" by Rod Serling as Maish Resnick (a role he learned in 4 days when the actor cast as Maish took ill), wrote and directed SkyPilot's first Children's Outreach production of Peter Cottontail, Jr., and also played Sidney Redlitch in Colony Theatre's production of John van Druten's original stage script for "Bell, Book And Candle".
With a natural and nurtured knack for embodying the roles he plays, Benton has portrayed a vast swath of characters ranging from psycho killers, FBI agents, good ol' boy farmers, upscale butlers and maitre'ds, cranky patients and caring physicians, Shakespearean kings and high school janitors, Priests and Rabbis, news anchors, senators, paraplegic British officers and even Hitler. (He has the dubious distinction of having played Hitler five times. First on NBC'S Passions (1999), David Zucker's feature film An American Carol (2008), again in the indie feature Poolboy: Drowning Out the Fury (2011), on Jimmy Kimmel Live! (2003) in the "Captain Mexico" parody sketch, ep 9.163 26 July 2011), and February 2012 in a professional photo essay which depicts a time traveling assassin shooting Hitler.
Benton also has worked as an historical consultant, historical military technical advisor and fight director."Dexter": Season 1, Episode 6

Chris Krauser was born Christopher Allan Krauser on September 8, 1977 in Sylvania, Ohio. His father, Christopher Paul Krauser, is of Polish and German descent. He previously owned a business and raced cars with Porsche. His mother, Jeanne, is half Italian and grew up in Southern California, and attended Hollywood High School. His paternal great-grandfather was from Warsaw, Poland, and his maternal grandmother was from Rome. A great-great uncle was reportedly a WWI fighter pilot back in Germany. Chris spent time in Ohio and California but mostly stayed in Ohio until August 2002.
He attended Ladyfield Catholic School in Toledo, Ohio. During this time he got into some trouble at school and received bad grades. Growing up at an early age he started lifting weights after his father gave him his first barbell set. As a youth and a teen he won a few small powerlifting tournaments in the middleweight and light heavyweight class of 160-176 and 177-189 lbs. He became an avid weightlifter sometimes exercising most of the day. From an early age he dreamed of becoming a bodybuilder up until around age 19. Around that time, while academically struggling at St. Francis de Sales Catholic High School, he thought about becoming a model or actor. During his Freshman and Sophomore years he wrestled but won only 1 match. He wrestled briefly during his junior year after struggling to maintain the 112 lbs weight class.
He dropped out of the University of Toledo with around 70 credits and tried acting at the University of Bowling Green. However, after a year, he left. He got his first credited acting role in Ice Cold Fear (2006), playing a beach bum. The film was not released until several years later. He played guitar and, later, piano, and wrote a few pieces of music. At the same time he started writing his first screenplay and briefly modeled some clothes for Dillard's, where he worked at age 21. He went to New York and tried out for Next Model Management. During the summers of 2000-01, he traveled to Canada to be an extra in a film and auditioned for two agencies. During 2001 he signed up with TVI Actors Studio Showcase and flew to Los Angeles for two weeks. He came home at the end of 2001. He decided to move to California. He saved up some money and sold some of his belongings. He packed up his stuff and drove 55 hours with a friend to Altadena, California. Shortly after arriving rent prices went up and he couldn't afford his place. So he lived anywhere he could. He worked different jobs in LA as a server, bus boy, putting together electrical components at a warehouse, a doorman at Club Lotus and a dishwasher at local restaurant chain which went out of business. He slept mostly in his car for almost three years starting in late 2002.
While sleeping in his vehicle outside a Car Max for 3 months people would shout and throw things at his car to make him leave the lot but he never did and a few times he found his tires flat. To keep his circulation going or get exercise he would run around his car for an hour and do push ups during the night time after work. A number of times was arrested but let go after he explained to local police officers his situation some of whom reportedly checked up on him to make sure he was okay. He would take showers at a nearby gym and clean himself up. In late 2005, a family member helped him get an apartment in Van Nuys.
In early 2004, he signed up with Central Casting as well as a few other extra casting agencies to earn some extra money while also working a regular day job. He worked almost everyday 5 to 6 days a week for the next few years on the film sets willing to do almost anything to get a job. He got a few small roles between 2004-08. He appeared on seven episodes of CSI: Miami (2002) and as F.B.I. Special Agent Eddie Velasco in Dexter (2006). In 2009, he played a detective in Jeffery Manchester (2009). In Surviving Terror (2008), he played "Shivago". He signed a few contracts with some agencies but dropped out due to financial constraints and decided he needed steadier employment.
He quit his regular day job and took a vendor job which took him all over southern California. A year later after quitting that job he returned to the Home Depot branch on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood for half a year during 2006. He then started writing a few screenplays and at the same time got hired as a car salesman at Universal City Nissan near Universal Studios. After, he started a program at a nursing school, graduating in 2011 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. He reportedly later was studying to advance to become a Registered Nurse."Dexter": Season 1, Episode 11

Truth Be Told (10 Dec 2006) - Born in Indiana, Steve spent his early childhood years in a small town on the Ohio River. With his red hair and active imagination, he was sure he was Tom Sawyer, reincarnated. The son of a football coach, he moved around, quite a bit. His family roots are in the Midwest, but his heart is found in South Florida, where he now makes his home. Athletics and high achievement have always been distinguishing marks in Steve's life. He used his talents in the classroom and on the athletic field to attend Rice University, in Houston, Texas. While a sophomore, he spent a semester in New York City as an intern on Late Night With David Letterman. His duties included assisting Paul Shaffer and The World's Most Dangerous Band, and Madeleine Smithberg, who is best known for her later work in creating The Daily Show, for Comedy Central. A seemingly unfortunate series of events brought him reluctantly back home to Miami, where life took on fresh purpose. Steve's lifelong desire to be someone else, in one way or another, makes him a natural actor. His love for humanity makes him a natural motivator. He has taken on the challenge to inspire others to recognize their tremendous inherent value. He is an actor, a once and future boxer, the Executive Director of the non-profit corporation Team Respect, and chaplain for the football team at Florida International University."Dexter": Season 1, Episode 1
