The early film career of Stella Stevens could be said to mirror that of Marilyn Monroe. She began by playing a succession of sensuous, blond glamour girls, from naïve virgins and funny coquettes to precocious or briny-tongued floozies. Her early maturity on screen may have reflected her own turbulent private life: she was married at 15, had a child (Andrew Stevens) at 16 and was divorced a year later. At 21, having a child to support and no money, she posed for a celebrated Playboy centerfold. She was Playmate of the Month for January 1960 which did her subsequent movie career no harm whatever. She was voted by Playboy as one of the 100 Sexiest Women of the 20th century and became one of the most photographed stars of the 1960s.
The voluptuous, blue-eyed Stella was born Estelle Caro Eggleston to one of the oldest families in Yazoo City, Mississippi. A myth which had her hailing from the quaintly named area of Hot Coffee was purely an invention by Hollywood publicists. Her father, Thomas Ellet Eggleston, was an insurance salesman, her mother, Estelle (nee Caro), a nurse. The family moved to Memphis when she was four.
During her early childhood, Stella was nicknamed "Bootsie". Precocious and impatient to grow up, she took to watching movies at every opportunity. It became her main passion. Graduating from high school in 1955, she spent two years attending Memphis State University where she was 'discovered' during a production of Bus Stop in the role of aspiring nightclub singer Chérie (famously played by Marilyn in the film version). Borrowing some money, Stella made her way to the bright lights of Los Angeles and was signed by 20th Century Fox in 1959. She made only three films for the studio during a six months spell before her contract was dropped, her debut being a bit part in Frank Tashlin's saccharine comedy-drama Say One for Me (1959).
Her role won her a Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Newcomer. That same year, she was picked up by Paramount and made her first breakthrough on the screen as the vampish Apassionata von Climax in the film version of the hit Broadway musical Li'l Abner (1959), based on Al Capp's comic strip.
She alternated motion pictures with television appearances, displaying a perhaps unexpectedly wide range as an actress in both dramatic and comedic roles. She stood out in films like Too Late Blues (1961) and The Courtship of Eddie's Father (1963), both under greatly contrasting directorial styles.
Above all, she saw herself not as a sex icon but as a comedienne. She once said "I want to be remembered for whatever made people laugh the most." Unafraid to do physical comedy in the manner of Lucille Ball she was also often lauded for her comic timing in films like The Silencers (1966) (a James Bond-style spoof, co-starring a sleepy-eyed Dean Martin) and Where Angels Go Trouble Follows! (1968). In the 1970s, her best role was as a warmhearted prostitute in Sam Peckinpah's seminal western The Ballad of Cable Hogue (1970). Writer and critic Roger Ebert wrote of her performance "There are few enough actresses who can be funny and feminine at the same time, but she is certainly one of them." Conversely, in the classic disaster epic The Poseidon Adventure (1972), she played a former hooker with a heart closer to tin.
Like many film careers, hers too experienced a fair share of hiccups along the way, often due to typecasting: duds like Slaughter (1972), Stand Up and Be Counted (1972), Las Vegas Lady (1975), The Manitou (1978), and others. However, Stella proved resourceful enough to diversify and go behind the camera, both as producer and director of a feature-length documentary, The American Heroine (1979). She co-authored a novel entitled 'Razzle, Dazzle' (published in 1999), about the rise and fall of a glamorous rock star. She unveiled her own range of women's and men's fragrances, called 'Sexy'.
During the 1980s and 1990s, she concentrated primarily on television and enjoyed lengthy tenures on the glossy soaps Flamingo Road (1980) and Santa Barbara (1984), in addition to many guest appearances in shows as diverse as Police Story (1973), Hotel (1983), Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1985) and In the Heat of the Night (1988). In 1976, she briefly forsook the glamour of Beverly Hills and set up home on a 27-acre ranch on the edge of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State and then proceeded to operate an art gallery and bakery in a nearby town.
By 1983, she had returned to her Beverly Hills home where she lived with her partner (rock guitarist Bob Kulick), until the home was sold in 2016. Afflicted by Alzheimer's disease, Stella Stevens spent her remaining years in an assisted living home in California and passed away in Los Angeles on February 17 2023 at the age of 84.- Actress

Smith is perhaps best-known as "Francine Desmond," intelligence agent (and nemesis of star Kate Jackson) on the CBS series Scarecrow and Mrs. King (1983). Raised in Farmington, Michigan, Smith, an honor student with a mention in "Who's Who of American Students", enrolled in Michigan State University at age 17 to study psychology. She soon became an in-demand model and spokeswoman whose travel demands forced her to abandon her studies. She was "discovered" by a scout for "Playboy" magazine, selected as a centerfold (Miss July 1973) and promptly sent back on the road on press junkets. That road led to California.
With the support of Universal Studios Contract Department, Smith honed her thespian skills in workshops while appearing in featured TV roles (How the West Was Won (1976), Quincy M.E. (1976), Charlie's Angels (1976), etc.). Her first major film role was in the comedy blockbuster National Lampoon's Animal House (1978), where her "Babs Jansen" character, a vapid but devious cheerleader, was an arch-rival to John Belushi's "Bluto". Shortly afterward, she shared star billing with Debbie Allen in the CBS pilot Ebony, Ivory and Jade (1979), which marked her professional singing/dancing debut.
During the actors strike of 1980, Smith produced and starred in an award-winning production of "Vanities", co-starring with Rita Wilson (wife of Tom Hanks). More TV appearances followed (Happy Days (1974), Taxi (1978), Dallas (1978), Fantasy Island (1977) and a special guest-starring role on a one-hour episode of Love, Sidney (1981). She went on to appear on NBC's Days of Our Lives (1965). One month after leaving "Days", she landed the "Scarecrow" pilot, and spent the next four years on the popular series. Smith was a co-creator of the board game "Beverly Hills - a Game of Wealth & Status", a satire of the community for which it was named and where she resides.
In 1987, she was included in the photo exhibit (and book) "The World's Most Beautiful Faces" with such luminaries as Brooke Shields and Linda Evangelista. As a member of various improv groups in the 1990s, she used her writing skills to pen comedic sketches for live performances in L.A. clubs. In 1996, she co-authored a non-fiction book entitled, "Downdating." The late 1990s saw Smith dabbling in production capacities on several indie films. In 1997, she and a partner co-wrote a futuristic socio-political screenplay ("Phoenix File"). She studied for three years at UCLA in production, screenwriting and language, and speaks French and Italian fluently.
In 1999, she began to sing in local L.A. clubs, everything from French "chansons" to R&B duets. On May 7, 2000, she married her singing partner, Keith England (formerly of The Allman Brothers Band, Montrose, The Tubes, among others). Keith also works in post-production and sings with his band as well as in various film & TV projects. The couple resides happily in Beverly Hills.
In 2000, Smith ventured back into acting and was seen most recently in two episodes of Greek (2007) and in Netflix's comedy film, A Futile and Stupid Gesture (2018).- Donna Michelle was born on 8 December 1945 in Los Angeles, California, USA. She dropped out of high school and moved to Los Angeles, California after her parents divorced in 1967. Anneka worked as a receptionist, a cocktail waitress, and a topless dancer as well as studied acting and participated in several beauty contests prior to becoming the Penthouse Pet of the Month in the September, 1973 issue of "Penthouse."
She subsequently graced the cover of the December, 1973 issue of "Viva." Anneka has secondary roles in the enjoyably trashy 70's drive-in exploitation pictures The Centerfold Girls (1974), Mama's Dirty Girls (1974) and Act of Vengeance (1974). Di Lorenzo was named the Penthouse Pet of the Year in the October, 1975 issue of "Penthouse" (she both graced the cover and did a nude pictorial for this particular issue).
Anneka did a coast to coast promotional tour of the United States in which she visited war veteran hospitals in October, 1975 and embarked on an international USO tour for the US Department of Defense which lasted from December, 1975 to January, 1976.
She portrayed the depraved Messalina in both the notorious Caligula (1979) and the cheesy Italian soft-core comedy cash-in Messalina, Messalina (1977). Anneka moved to New York City in the early summer of 1977. Photos from her steamy lesbian love scene in "Caligula" with fellow Penthouse" Pet Lori Wagner were published in the June, 1980 issue of "Penthouse." Di Lorenzo's final film appearance was a small part as a nurse in Brian De Palma's Dressed to Kill (1980). Anneka's career suffered as a direct result of the box office failure and harsh critical reception of "Caligula."
In 1988 she sued "Penthouse" magazine publisher Bob Guccione on charges of sexual harassment. Anneka only won a measly $4.06 in damages after the trial was over and finished. Guccione struck back at her by reprinting the photos of Di Lorenzo and Wagner's lesbian love scene in the February, 1991 issue of "Penthouse."
Di Lorenzo's dead body was discovered on the shore by joggers in Camp Pendleton, California on January 4, 2011; she was 58 years old.Penthouse Pet of the Year - Actress
Gorgeously voluptuous buxom blonde bombshell Lori Kay Wagner was born on August 11, 1952 in Whittier, California. She won several beauty contests at the start of her show business career. Wagner briefly attended California State College in the early 1970s. She used the pseudonym Octavia Corriell for her nude pictorial in the May 1975 issue of "Penthouse" magazine. Lori acted in Broadway stage productions of both "Hair" and "Let My People Come" in 1977. On film, Wagner portrayed Caligula's younger sister Agrippina in both the infamous Caligula (1979) and the lowbrow Italian soft-core comedy cash-in Messalina, Messalina (1977). Wagner and fellow "Penthouse" Pet Anneka Di Lorenzo did a steamy lesbian scene in "Caligula" that was reprinted as a pictorial in the June 1980 and February 1991 issues of "Penthouse" (Lori also did a new pictorial for the latter issue). Following the harsh critical reception and box-office failure of "Caligula," Lori laid low for eight years before resurfacing in a small part in Trained to Kill (1989). She has another minor role as a female mud wrestler in the amusing mainstream comedy UHF (1989). In the mid-'90s Wagner acted in a few X-rated porno flicks, including _Frankenpenis (1994)_ with John Wayne Bobbitt. Lori was a contestant in the Nudes A Poppin' 2 strip/dance contest at the Ponderosa Sun Club in Roselawn, Indiana, in 1995 and attempted a side career as a comedian in 1996. She worked part time as a stripper at the Crazy Horse Two Club in Las Vegas, Nevada, and participated in the Topless Dancer World Championships at the Stardust Hotel in Vegas in 1999. Her last adult feature was Older Women, Hotter Sex (2000). Wagner wrote the song "Everything Changed (That Morning)" following the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. Lori Kay Wagner is now an avid and active environmental campaigner in Las Vegas, Nevada.- Jane Hargrave was born in Hammersmith, London, in December 1956. Since her stepfather was a newspaper correspondent and often worked abroad Jane enjoyed a peripatetic education, studying at a language school in Paris and later at a Convent boarding school in England during her early teens. At age 18 she began applying for modeling jobs, and quickly came to the attention of Bob Guccione of Penthouse magazine who photographed her first pictorial and made her cover girl and 'Pet of the Month' for July 1975. Two subsequent pictorials for Penthouse followed, in December 1976 and October 1978 respectively, the former earning her the title of 'British Pet of the Year.' Meantime Guccione encouraged Jane with the promise of acting opportunities and she accepted a role in his controversial epic Caligula, filmed during 1976-77, and was also interviewed in the accompanying on-set documentary. Promises of acting roles in four further feature films, including one by Federico Fellini, were not honored. In 1979 Jane left the Penthouse empire to commence a new career in mainstream fashion modeling. When Caligula was released in the UK in late 1980 she stated categorically in the one press interview she granted that, 'That phase of my life has been and gone.' Jane continued in the worlds of fashion and advertising throughout the 1980s, before determining upon a major change of direction at the end of the decade. After going back to school to study art and design, Jane emerged as a serious artist in her own right and has held numerous exhibitions of her paintings and sketches during the past decade, as well as undertaking private commissions.

Natalie Uher was born on 2 January 1968 in Feldkirch, Vorarlberg, Austria. She is an actress, known for Emmanuelle 6 (1988), Locas vacaciones (1986) and Drei und eine halbe Portion (1985). She has been married to Markus Moosmann since 1987. They have three children.- Janine Lindemulder did not begin her film career in adult videos. With her gorgeous yet teenage girlish looks and incredible body, she had begun appearing in "mainstream" films in the 1980s, though in typical "blonde bimbo" roles. Among the few "mainstream" movies to her credit is Lauderdale (1989), but the films were received so poorly, however, and her performances were considered so bland that her mainstream career basically went nowhere. She began her "adult" career in a low-budget soft-porn (although it was made by a director of hardcore porn films and had several adult-film performers in the cast) women-in-prison extravaganza called Caged Fury (1990), which featured well-known non-adult actor Erik Estrada. Having made an impression, Janine's career in the adult industry had begun. She performed in a few lesser-known films in 1990, performing sexually with male co-stars exclusively. It was during this very short period in her adult film career that her son, Tyler, was conceived. Realizing that his conception was the result of unprotected sex with male co-stars, Janine officially refused to work with men any longer. She interrupted her career during her pregnancy, but after the birth of her son she returned to the adult industry with a bang and a new condition--she would perform only with women. Her career took off, and she appeared in many popular adult films, such as the "Where the Boys Aren't" series and she had one of her most highly regarded (by her fans) roles in Blondage (1994). She is a legendary figure in the adult film industry--with hundreds of scenes performed exclusively with other women, Janine is the literal poster-girl for girl/girl adult films. There are many fan clubs (male and female alike) that celebrate her choice to work with other women and her delightful, upbeat personality. Although she retired from the adult industry in 2000 in terms of performing (much to the regret of her legions of fans), she remains as a director/producer, and is one of the most famous and recognizable figures in the history of porn, right up there with Ron Jeremy, Peter North, and her "disciple", Jenna Jameson. The few scenes she filmed with male co-stars early in her adult career are widely sought after and extremely difficult to come by.
- Lillian Müller was born on August 19, 1951 in a small town by the sea in the South of Norway. Spending her early childhood in the financial turmoil of the post-WWII era, her determination to make something of herself was embedded deep within. Lillian spent her formative years burying her head in books, igniting an optimistic sense of reality that differentiated from the world around her. In the meantime, she blossomed into a strikingly beautiful woman who would go on to become a successful model in London, where she strutted the catwalk, graced the pages of French Vogue, and hit the stands as the "Page Three Girl" in the London Sun. After being discovered by Playboy, she moved to America and was featured as the 1976 "Playboy's Playmate of the Year". Lillian went on to become the most featured "Playmate Of The Year" in the history of the publication and has nine covers from 1975 through 1999 to her name. To date, Lillian has more than 1,000 cover stories and features in international media publications as a celebrity and supermodel.
