Eighteen Portuguese were arrested for an year without trial, and the ensuing fear lasted even after the April 1974 democratization of Portugal. He marries an Indian Chief's daughter and becomes one of the leaders of the tribe. The destiny of Bernarda and Rafael will cross with other targets tens of people trying to survive on this earth the sun bathed in blood. Finally, everything culminates with the massacres that occurred in two communities of the Rio Grande do Norte.
