- DirectorLucky McKeeStarsPollyanna McIntoshBrandon Gerald FullerLauren Ashley CarterWhen a successful country lawyer captures and attempts to "civilize" the last remaining member of a violent clan that has roamed the Northeast coast for decades, he puts the lives of his family in jeopardy.if you think that young woman could not really scare you, because all that is needed is a bubble bath that turns her into an attractive young woman, then you are having wrong expectations. she will scare the crap out of you and give you nightmares. my rating: 07/10
- DirectorFatih AkinStarsJonas DasslerVasiliki Georgina PseimadaChristine JensenA serial killer strikes fear in the hearts of residents of Hamburg during the early 1970s.Based on true events which is perhaps the most shocking fact. this did happen in reality. it is about a man who wasn't very intelligent, nevertheless a psychopath without compassion. he looks like a sick man and he is a sick man. the actor plays incredibly. be warned, it is disgusting - careful if you decide to watch it. I didn't enjoy the movie at all, but I have respect for the actors and the filmmaker. therefore my rating is 07/10.
- DirectorS. Craig ZahlerStarsKurt RussellPatrick WilsonMatthew FoxIn the dying days of the old west, an elderly sheriff and his posse set out to rescue their town's doctor from cannibalistic cave dwellers.1st half is Western. 2nd half is something that I won't spoil. you can shock everyone with that movie on a lazy Sunday afternoon. if you make them believe they are watching a "western." which it is, in the 1st half. my rating: 08/10
- DirectorEmerald FennellStarsCarey MulliganBo BurnhamAlison BrieNothing in Cassie's life is what it appears to be - she's wickedly smart, tantalizingly cunning, and she's living a secret double life. Now, an unexpected encounter is about to give Cassie a chance to right the wrongs from the past.what a great movie with an amazing story and climax. unpredictable and sad. my rating: 09/10
- DirectorChristian AlvartStarsMoritz BleibtreuJasna Fritzi BauerLars EidingerThriller set in the world of Forensic Pathology. Coroner Paul Herzfeld finds a capsule in the head of a heavily mutilated corpse, containing a phone number and single word: the name of his daughter.a great movie, recommended to watch. about a pathology professor who gets in deep trouble. my rating: 09/10
- DirectorBrandon CronenbergStarsAndrea RiseboroughChristopher AbbottJennifer Jason LeighAn agent works for a secretive organization that uses brain-implant technology to inhabit other people's bodies - ultimately driving them to commit assassinations for high-paying clients. The first half is intentionally slow and silent - almost boring, until Cronenberg Junior, the story writer and director, switches to shock. Extremely effective.
It starts with a preparation scene for the incoming murder of a target person. the murder is a brutal and bloody shock scene. no viewer protection. There are some filmmakers you can't trust in that regard, and Cronenberg Junior is one of them.
Then, you get time to recover from that—more than you need. Slowly but steadily, boredom kicks in. It seems as if the director wants you to get bored to death, and even one of the main characters, the rich businessman who is the father-in-step of the protagonist's target person, is holding a speech about BOREDOM. He praises boredom. Not a coincidence.
Because.... a few minutes later, it is time to hit you right into the guts again. Bloody and brutal. This is a shock again but this time, you don't get a rest to recover. It keeps on going Son. It was a pretty innovative horror thriller, the 1st one of a few which followed such as Infinity Pool with a similar theme about switching bodies and minds, and modifications of bodies. my rating: 07/10 - DirectorSteven SheilStarsPerry BensonDido MilesOlga FedoriLena, a young Polish immigrant working as a cleaner at an airport, is invited to the family home of a co-worker, which turns sinister quickly as the family intend to 'adopt' her.Disgusting, repulsive. I had to stop watching it.my rating: 01/10
- DirectorDavid BrucknerDan BushJacob GentryStarsAnessa RamseyJustin WelbornScott PoythressA horror film told in three parts, from three perspectives, in which a mysterious transmission that turns people into killers invades every cell phone, radio, and television.Jesus Christ, this is a hidden gem, gore and believe it or not, it is unintended funny for adults. because of hilarious situations. the actors are fantastic. really, it could not have been done better. the cast is perfect. your jaw hits the ground, and then you start to lol because of the next incoming scene. one of the guys takes it way too seriously. just an example of what kind of humour it is. he becomes paranoid and becomes the most brutal dude..... no kidding. after his blood bath a few seconds later, someone tells him: wait, what have you done... this was the wrong person man... she is (was) a friend of mine,....omg, you are a murderer!! such things are happening all the time. I loled so much until my stomach hurt. my rating: 08/10
- DirectorPatrick BriceStarsKatie AseltonPatrick BriceMark DuplassA young videographer answers an online ad for a one-day job in a remote town to record the last messages of a dying man. When he notices the man's odd behavior, he starts to question his intentions. This movie has a great message one can learn from: all that we can see from the strangers and people we meet, are the masks they wear. it doesn't matter if they appear friendly or trustworthy. you never know what you are dealing with. the only thing that matters are facts and actions.my rating: 07/10
- DirectorJulia DucournauStarsGarance MarillierElla RumpfRabah Nait OufellaA young woman, studying to be a vet, develops a craving for human flesh. This film seems to stick the viewer's jaw to the floor with super glue. The movie seems to show disgusting things to make it as hard as possible to enjoy the film. This seems to be the plan. Not with gore. But with uncomfortable disgusting things. Vegetarians want to study veterinary medicine. You can already see the potential behind it. These vegetarian siblings first have to pass the tests of their fellow students to be accepted. Such as eating animal offal, raw of course. You can see the two sisters peeing like guys while standing in the middle of a street at night. Unfortunately, you can only see the two young ladies from behind when they do it. Please imagine exactly this strange scene. Right, that's exactly what is shown in this film. And so it goes on. Be prepared for a unique and weird movie experience.my rating: 07/10
- DirectorDavid LynchStarsIsabella RosselliniKyle MacLachlanDennis HopperThe discovery of a severed human ear found in a field leads a young man on an investigation related to a beautiful, mysterious nightclub singer and a group of psychopathic criminals who have kidnapped her child.A typical unpredictable David Lynch movie. But do yourself a favour and avoid spoilers and trailers for the best movie experience. if you like 80 ies movies it's a must-watch, otherwise better skip this one. my rating: 07/10
- DirectorMimi CaveStarsDaisy Edgar-JonesSebastian StanJojo T. GibbsAfter quitting dating apps, a woman meets the supposedly perfect man and accepts his invitation to a romantic weekend getaway, only to find that her new paramour has been hiding some unusual appetites. This is one of the sickest stories. The scenes are not that cruel (or are they: ....?), but the story is. The protagonist and his disgusting personality will make your jaw drop. Daisy Edgar Jones deserves an Oscar for the 3-minute scene where she slowly realizes the situation after waking up drugged. You can feel her adrenaline rising in her blood, her fear and disappointment in him increasing and her hyperventilating with every passing second. my rating: 08/10
- DirectorYorgos LanthimosStarsEmma StoneMark RuffaloWillem DafoeAn account of the fantastical evolution of Bella Baxter, a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter. Not recommended to watch. Because a main part of the story is about sex with a reanimated person who has the intellect of a child. The brain of the dead person's baby has been implanted into the dead mother's skull. Distasteful Oscar winner.
