Now the always impulsive Peggy suddenly decides she really does love Jimmy and they now must marry immediately.

Her family is united, Judy and Teddy marry.

After the death of Rosie, their last remaining bond, the Winthrops decide to separate until an old friend intervenes and recalls the love and happiness they once shared, thus healing the breach between husband and wife.

Meanwhile, Mary Jane pays a visit to the doctor's office and, upon seeing the wedding invitations, becomes so flustered that she trips and sprains her ankle. Doc comes to her rescue and then begs her to pose as his wife. She agrees, but at ship-side, Stub and Johnnie confess all to Uncle George, who flies into a rage until Doc announces that he and Mary Jane have chosen a wedding at sea.

In various foreign cities, Grogan is attacked and Ruth is accosted by Colburton, who has followed her. Finally, Ruth is imprisoned in a house of prostitution, Grogan comes to her rescue, and the two are married.

Eventually Holland decides that the joke has gone too far and unmasks Jack. Mrs. Jennings expels Jack from the house, but when the real ambassador from Pomerania appears and documents Jack's authenticity, she recants and announces Ethel's engagement to the archduke waiter.

Aboard the train, Diana persuades April to assume her identity. Eager to foil Kenna, April complies. When Kerry overhears a struggle in April's stateroom, he rushes in and ejects Kenna. In gratitude, April reveals her identity and mission. After Kerry receives a note from April that asks him to take the trunk to Clive, April disappears. Disconsolate, Kerry delivers the trunk. When Kenna and his cronies locate it, April springs out, pistol in hand, and captures them. As she concludes her tale, April embraces Kerry, who accepts the story.

The kidnappers turn out to be deadly serious and keep the money, but the lesson that Bob and Milly learned was worth the price.

Pauline bails Dumont out, but the strain kills him. After his death she returns to Scarborough and they marry.

Meanwhile, Laylock, a reformed crook and a friend of Kate's, is freed from jail, where he was placed through the contrivance of Clark and Leland, and kills Leland in a pistol duel. Lake persuades his friend, Inspector Bruce, that Leland has committed suicide, and Laylock goes free. Finally, Doris and Lake become engaged.

Brown's wife follows in a jealous panic. Then the vamp appears and confesses that she is actually Mrs. Temple's cousin, who hatched the whole scheme to cure her cousin's jealousy.

The gang leader, terrified by Priscilla's resemblance to his victim, is driven by fear to drown himself. Priscilla faints and is nursed back to health by Philip. They then discover that Priscilla's father had married a gypsy who gave birth to twin daughters, then ran off with Nora while Priscilla remained with her father. With the mystery solved, Philip and Priscilla marry.

After completing her testimony, Mrs. Kleath is shot and killed by members of the Duke gang, freeing Kleath to make Goldie an "honest woman."

Meanwhile, David persuades Milly to return with him and recuperate in the country and later proposes to her. Remembering that she can never bear children, she plans to run away; but David discovers the truth and convinces her that they can adopt a child.

King is detained along with everyone else, and after a series of misadventures, the real thief is apprehended, Ottilie is convinced of her husband's innocence, the letters are restored to Ned and all ends happily.

General Stanton lifts the cover from the body, only to find that death has really come, freeing both Rachel and Prescott.

So she takes their three children and hides in David's home, hoping to throw a scare into her husband. Now David tries to take care of the kids, hoping to forget his own troubles. Herbert phones David that he is coming over, but David tells his friend he has the measles. Meanwhile, Sybil's kids have gotten sick from eating too much taffy. So David calls Betty's father, who is a doctor. Betty comes over with her father, and David cooks up a scheme with the doctor to quarantine the house so that Betty will have to stay and help him take care of the children. Herbert arrives and chaos ensues when he discovers his wife and kids are there. Eventually, things get straightened out and David regains Betty's love.

Upon learning that Clem is seriously ill, Lavender runs away to comfort her sweetheart and, in her plight, faints by the side of the road. Weatherburn finds her and is so touched by her concern, that he relents his previous disapproval. Ruth then reveals Lavender's parentage to her father who offers his blessing to the couple.

Her enormous feelings of guilt allow Rosanne to break the spell as the old Malay woman approaches death. Entering Ravenal's room in order to return the diamonds, Rosanne is attacked by him, but Dennis arrives in time to rescue her. Freed from her sins, Rosanne and Dennis are married and sail for England.

She decides to leave Robert and slips out of the house to catch an evening train, but unfortunately Endicott is also aboard the train. Robert finds out about that, too. Complications ensue.

Through Ruth's tireless efforts and the assistance of the chief of detectives, Reid escapes and the real criminals are brought to justice.

Awakening in the hospital beside each other, Hadley pleads with Judith to become his wife and she finally consents.

After enlisting the aid of the editor of a major newspaper, Perry confronts his double in the lawyer's office, where a test is administered that supports Attucks' claim, thanks to Perry's feeble knowledge of his own affairs. Perry is spotted by a banker whom Attucks had previously robbed and is subsequently arrested, but a reporter who believes Perry's story arranges for his release and for yet another confrontation, this time in Perry's home. All the evidence points against Perry until his dog recognizes his true master, exposing Attucks' charade. Camilla tells Perry that she has known of the deception for some time, but that she would not speak up until Perry had proved true to the Danton motto: "Always Audacious."
