John Kobal Presents the Top 100 Movies: Correctly calculated
"John Kobal Presents the Top 100 Movies" was a 1988 book compiling critics' nominations for the greatest films.
However, while a great book, it became clear that Kobal had made some mistakes adding all the critics' votes together - 5 titles were missing from the Top 100, including one that should have been as high as joint 57th place.
As Kobal printed the polling responses in the back of the book, it also became clear that three listed entries - Earth, The Far Country and A Matter of Life and Death - shouldn't have been in the Top 100 at all.
The following list is the Top 100 Movies, correctly ranked from the critics' responses.
