An almost perfect series.
The series features Peacemaker (John Cena), a person who seeks peace but, if necessary, will kill to achieve his goal.
I had already given up on everything related to DC cinematography, but this series surprised me. His dialogues, photography, acting, character development, and script in general are impeccable. Its biggest highlight, in my opinion, is the development of all the characters, because in a few minutes of screen we already understand each character. Its only flaws are some sounds and the CGI, which sometimes make certain viewers uncomfortable. - DirectorScott DerricksonStarsEthan HawkeJuliet RylanceJames RansoneA controversial true-crime writer finds a box of Super 8 home movies in his new home, revealing that the murder case he is currently researching could be the work of an unknown serial killer whose legacy dates back to the 1960s.Stars: 7.
A great thriller, but a terrible horror.
A recommendation before watching: try to watch with the original audio, because in most dubs, unfortunately, the sound of suspense and scares ends up being negatively modified.*
Sinister (2012) tells the story of a failed true crime writer who plans to succeed again. To delve deeper into his story, he moves into a house where a brutal crime has taken place. From there, strange things start to happen.
The movie is more or less. It focuses entirely on suspense and investigation and, luckily, builds very well. Both the atmosphere presented and the protagonist and his investigations (played by Ethan Hawke) create an admirable, albeit prolonged, suspense. Due to this, the spectator presents, with time, more fear and tension, always expecting a simple scare or jumpscare. Unfortunately, the film's problem is mainly the scares, which are poorly done, due to the makeup/design and exaggerated sounds. This ends up causing the suspenseful atmosphere, built for more than 1 hour, to end up breaking and spoiling the movie.
In conclusion, I'll summarize: the film is, in part, good. The problems are her scares, design and makeup. A good example of this is the entity itself, initially called Mr. Boogie, whose appearance is gross in terms of fear and its design is terrible. - DirectorPaul WeitzChris WeitzStarsJason BiggsChris KleinThomas Ian NicholasFour teenage boys enter a pact to lose their virginity by prom night.Stars: 7.
It's good and bad, at the same time.
American Pie is a film that turned a sensitive issue of the time into pure comedy. But at the same time, its immense problems are undeniable, like its predictable script, bad acting like that of Thomas Ian Nicholas and some boring jokes. Even so, it is also undeniable that, even with its flaws, the film fulfills its role very well: jokes of all kinds and embarrassment to the spectator. Despite being little, due to this the film manages to save itself and earn a well-deserved grade: 7. - DirectorJared BushByron HowardCharise Castro SmithStarsStephanie BeatrizMaría Cecilia BoteroJohn LeguizamoA Colombian teenage girl has to face the frustration of being the only member of her family without magical powers.Stars: 6.
A good movie.
The film manages to entertain the viewer with ease, but what bothers me is the simple problem solving, explanations and character development through the songs and the lazy ending. On the other hand, the movie is a lot of fun to watch as a family, it's beautiful and teaches about family relationships. A good movie. - DirectorAri AsterStarsToni ColletteMilly ShapiroGabriel ByrneA grieving family is haunted by tragic and disturbing occurrences.Stars: 6.
A great movie, but not for traditional horror audiences.
"Hereditary" tells the story of a family, which is haunted by disturbing events.
"Hereditary" is a good movie, but it doesn't please the traditional horror audience, as its construction of the story and characters, due to the great suspense and drama, is extremely prolonged and, consequently, boring, for the main audience. However, the film, when inserted into its true horror, is indeed terrifying and disturbing. Another positive point is its mystery and twists, which is admirable as it is built from the beginning of the film.
The admirable work of Ari Aster is remarkable in the film, but even so, if the work had bet a little more on horror, in addition to the drama and suspense presented, it would be an icon for the current decade. - DirectorMichael TiddesStarsMarlon WayansEssence AtkinsMarlene ForteMalcolm and Kisha move into their dream home, then learn that a demon also resides there. Boring movie, with boring jokes.
The science of humor is not exact, but there are basic elements that the film fails to accomplish.
In the movie, all humor scenes feature jokes related to erotic content or fart. It's funny, but only for the first 10 minutes. Humor doesn't know how to stop. These are jokes that last longer than 5 minutes and, consequently, make the movie boring and shameful.
