Three One Chicago stars were featured on the Wednesday night episode of The Tonight Show.
NBC celebrated One Chicago Wednesday with new episodes of the three hit dramas, followed by three stars sitting down with Jimmy Fallon.
After comedian Will Forte served as the primary guest on May 15, Jimmy welcomed three recognizable faces from One Chicago.
Jason Beghe (Hank Voight on Chicago P.D.), Miranda Rae Mayo (Stella Kidd on Chicago Fire), and S. Epatha Merkerson (Sharon Goodwin from Chicago Med) sat down with the Tonight Show host.
The trio brought something fun for the host to enjoy while they filmed a new episode at Rockefeller Center in New York.
It was a good plug for the Chicago-based dramas, giving the shows some added buzz as the season finales approach.

Chicago P.D. Season 11 is winding down with only a few new episodes that remain.
One of those episodes is called Inventiry, and Jesse Lee Soffer directed it.
Jesse played Detective Jay Halstead on the Chicago P.D. cast. The character was last season, early in Season 10.
Halstead re-enlisted, leaving behind his wife, Detective Hailey Upton (played by Tracy Spiridakos).
Despite Halstead’s exit, Jesse returned to direct an episode later that season. And he was back on set to direct one this spring as well.
Some Chicago P.D. set photos featured Jesse hard at work, leading to rumors that he might return as Halstead.

The Chicago P.D. hiatus ended with a new episode on Wednesday night.
When we last saw the show, Dante Torres was finishing up an undercover case to bring down a drug boss, Rafel Perez (Julio Cedillo).
During that case, Torres became romantically involved with the wife of Rafel Perez, Gloria Perez (Yara Martinez).
In a dramatic conclusion, Gloria killed Rafel. Rather than run, she told Torres she was remaining in Chicago. It could mean the story circles back later.
Also, earlier this season, the Chicago P.D. cast added actress Bojana Novakovic as Detective Josephine Petrovic. The quirky detective helped Intelligence on several cases, but Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) became suspicious of her and discovered a drinking problem.
A serial killer also remained on the loose, but this new episode was focused on a separate case.

Chicago Fire has teased an intense episode focused on Kelly Severide coming up, and some spoilers have fleshed out the details.
Taylor Kinney returned during Chicago Fire Season 12 to continue playing the popular firefighter. He had gone on a leave of absence during Season 11, causing fans to worry he had left the show for good.
But Severide was back for the Season 12 premiere this winter, reuniting with his wife Stella Kidd (played by Miranda Rae Mayo).

Chicago Med alum Torrey DeVitto gave a new interview exploring why she returned to the show.
Torrey played Dr. Natalie Manning for the first six seasons of Chicago Med, most of which had her character in a relationship with Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss).
Her character had to leave the hospital after it was discovered that she was stealing drugs from a drug trial to help her mom.
Those drugs worked, keeping her mom around for much longer. Dr. Halstead tried to take the fall for Dr. Manning, but it didn’t work.
Torrey returned for the first episode of Season 7 to give her character closure. Will went to Natalie’s house to say goodbye to her and her son, giving them one final conversation before she finished packing her car to leave for Seattle.
Chicago Med fans were surprised when Torrey secretly returned to film a scene for the Season 8 finale.

The Chicago Fire cast has revealed a new actress joining the show for Season 12.
Presumably, this new person could wind up as the partner to Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith).
Losing Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) has been difficult for Firehouse 51. Her replacement was shoehorned into the firehouse by the new paramedic chief.
It turned out that Chief Robinson was trying to send a message to the firehouse and Chief Boden and that she wanted to replace the “old guard” in Chicago.
Jared Lennox (Wesam Keesh) surfaced as Violet’s new partner and frequently questioned her medical choices in the field.
The situation between Lennox and Violet escalated to the point where he reported her as being “aggressive” and “disrespectful” on the job.
When Boden pushed Lennox out of the firehouse, Robinson showed up to give him a piece of her mind. And now it means a new paramedic for Firehouse 51 again.

As Chicago P.D. fans have noticed, the show shifts between characters now, with singular episodes focusing on a character rather than the team.
This shift in presentation continues with a new episode called Somos Uno, where viewers learn what Torres (played by Benjamin Levy Aguilar) has been up to while undercover.
The Chicago P.D. cast introduced Yara Martinez as Gloria Perez earlier this season.
Perez became an informant for Torres as Intelligence worked to take down a drug ring. Things got messy at the end of that episode when Perez and Torres became intimate during the case.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Chicago P.D. Season 11 Episode 8 “On Paper.”] As we get closer and closer to the end of Chicago P.D. Season 11, we can’t help but try to track clues as to just how Detective Hailey Upton will be written out with Tracy Spiridakos‘ exit coming. The latest episode seemed to have done just that, focusing more than it has since the premiere on what Upton’s going through. At the beginning of the episode, Upton offered to stay with Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and go through what they have on their ongoing serial killer case, but after turning that down, he asked if she was all good. “Yeah,” she said. “Really?” he asked. “You don’t have to worry about me. I’m fine. I’m figuring it out.” (It was to Voight that Upton shared that she was struggling in the premiere.) Then, when Upton had problems sleeping,...

The Chicago P.D. cast added a new player on its most recent episode, and Bojana Novakovic continues playing Josephine Petrovic in the new installment.
This new episode is called On Paper, and it appears that Detective Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos) will work hand-in-hand with Detective Petrovic.
Petrovic was brought in as a profiler to help with an intense case of abductions and torturing. Intelligence also figured out that they were chasing a serial killer.
The unfortunate result of this case was that Hank Voight became very close with a survivor (Noah), even letting the young man stay at his house.
Unfortunately, Noah (played by Bobby Hogan) was murdered at the end of Chicago P.D. Season 11, Episode 7.
Actor Jason Beghe teased that the case will lead to the return of the “old Voight” as he seeks to solve it by any means necessary.

The Chicago P.D. cast loses actress Tracy Spiridakos this season.
Tracy plays Detective Hailey Upton and is filming her final episodes for Season 11.
Some uncharted territory lies ahead for the hit NBC drama, but fans have also become familiar with stars leaving the One Chicago shows.
Jesse Lee Soffer ended his run as Detective Jay Halstead last season. His exit left fans wanting more, though.
With Tracy’s exit, the writers and the showrunner must provide better closure. Bringing back Jesse to help her do it could be a nice surprise.
Several Chicago P.D. cast members hinted at how much they will miss Tracy. One co-worker even posted “#SaveUpton.”

Many Chicago P.D. fans will love the spoilers that actor Jason Beghe has revealed.
The latest dramatic episode of the show flipped a switch in Hank Voight, especially with the similarities that the current case has to when his son died.
After trying his best to care for Noah — the victim of a serial killer who had escaped at first — Voight has become slightly untethered.
Intelligence is also tasked with a difficult case – a primary reason Voight brought in an extra detective to help with the investigation.
Are the Chicago P.D. producers dropping hints about who might replace Detective Hailey Upton?
Tracy Spiridakos — the actress who has played Upton for years — is departing the One Chicago drama this season.
Jason Beghe speaks about a return of ‘the old Voight’ on Chicago P.D.

Dick Wolf is in for another busy season at NBC. No surprise here, the Peacock network has renewed “Chicago Med,” “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago P.D.,” “Law & Order” and “Law & Order: Svu” for the 2024-25 broadcast TV season. Among Dick Wolf scripted series, that leaves just “Law & Order: Organized Crime” on the bubble; a renewal for that show, which has experienced multiple showrunner changes in its short life, is still in discussion.
Among the shows, this will rep the 26th season of “Law & Order: SVU,” the 24th season of “Law & Order,” Season 13 for “Chicago Fire,” the 12th season for “Chicago PD” and the 10th season for “Chicago Med.” All of the renewed series are produced by Universal Studio Group’s Universal Television division, along with Wolf Entertainment, and all shows stream the following day on Peacock. NBC has renewed most — but not all — of the shows in its two biggest franchises for the 2024-25 season.
The network has ordered new seasons of all three of its Chicago dramas — Med, Fire and Pd — along with Law & Order and Law & Order: Svu. Notably missing from the list is Law & Order: Organized Crime, whose status is “still under discussion,” according to NBC. All six series come from Dick Wolf’s Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television.
Svu will add to its record as the longest-running primetime drama in American TV history with a 26th season in 2024-25, while Law & Order — which recently saw the departure of series fixture Sam Waterston — will air its 24th. Chicago Med will hit double digits with its 10th season, Fire will air its 13th and Pd its 12th.

How much pain can one person take?
When it comes to Hank Voight, Chicago Pd pushes the limits, subjecting the man to so much pain and heartbreak and dooming him with what feels like a lifetime of loneliness.
There's a darkness to the series that hasn't let up, and Chicago Pd Season 11 Episode 7 was one of the darkest installments to date.
Whoever this serial killer is, may he believe in a God that has mercy on his soul because Hank Voight is coming for him.
And the last thing on Voight's mind is "mercy."
By the end of the hour, with that slick closeup of Jason Beghe, with a dark shadow cast over him and darkness in his eyes, it's evident that Voight has potentially reached a point of no return.
It felt like we watched this man break in real-time.
A sea of emotions overtook him as he stared...

[This story contains spoilers from season 11, episode seven of Chicago P.D, “The Living and the Dead.”]
For Sergeant Hank Voight, played by Jason Beghe, the proverb “the road to hell is paved with good intensions” comes to a painful, climatic conclusion during the final scene of Chicago P.D.’s March 20 episode, “The Living and the Dead.” The seventh episode in season 11 of the NBC drama ends with a stoic look from the conflicted police detective, as a barrel is pulled from a body of water that contains someone he cared for and tried to protect.
Since the murder of his son, Justin (Josh Segarra), in season three, Voight has worn that death like an albatross, spurring him throughout the seasons to take a special interest in certain brutalized victims in the city who are treated as castoffs. In episode seven, audiences watch Voight hunt for a kidnapper who tortured and mutilated a gay teenage boy named Noah (Bobby Hogan), who was introduced in episode six.

Intelligence is about to say goodbye to one of its own, with Tracy Spiridakos exiting at the end of Chicago P.D. Season 11. The season began with Detective Hailey Upton struggling and opening up to Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe), who has seen multiple members of his team leave (tragically and on their own). So how will he handle the latest departure? “My favorite quote personally, and I kind of probably apply it to Voight, is somebody asked Picasso, ‘How do you plan a painting like Guernica?’ And he said, ‘I paint the picture to find out what it looks like,'” Beghe tells TV Insider. “So I want to find out how it affects Voight. I don’t want to plan that, and it’ll depend on what the circumstances are, which are, as yet, certainly not written in stone.” We very much hope he’s right when he suggests,...

His family kicked him out because he’s gay, and at the end of the last episode, Voight had taken him in. But how much is that about what Noah has been through, and how much is it Voight still dealing with the loss of his son (Josh Segarra)? “That’s up to the audience to decide. The One Chicago shows took off Valentine’s Day, but new content is coming.
Chicago P.D. Season 11 has debuted four new episodes this winter. Each of them is available for streaming on Peacock.
The show also returns from its brief hiatus with a new episode on February 21.
The countdown is also on until the final episode for Tracy Spiridakos. She plays Detective Haily Upton, but it was announced that she is leaving the show.
It’s tough for Chicago P.D. fans to lose Upton too soon after Detective Jay Halstead left Intelligence.
Casting changes opens the door for new faces, but the team has felt pretty incomplete this season. Maybe that is intentional?
Chicago P.D. details for February 21 episode
Split Second is the February 21 Chicago P.D. episode.

But when Ella starts feeding off Alan’s darker impulses and revenge-filled dreams, things start to become deadly for those around him.

Listen, Intelligence’s Sergeant Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) may not be the same man he was when we first met him on Chicago Fire, but he’s still done some questionable things over the years and we know just how dark he can get on P.D., especially after 11 seasons. Well, it sounds like more of that is coming. “We’re only on Episode 7—there’s only 13—but I think we’re turning to the big bad of the season,” Marina Squerciati recently told TV Insider while discussing the Kim Burgess-centric “Safe Harbor,” which ended with her and Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) once again engaged. “I think there’s going to be a serial killer, and we’re going to see a bit of the old Voight rage come back. So that’s really going to take control right now.” She continued, “We just started it, so I don’t really have much to say.

Spoiler Alert: The following story reveals major plot points from tonight’s episode of Chicago P.D. titled, “Safe Harbour.”
Officer Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) had her work cut out for her in tonight’s episode of NBC’s Chicago P.D. As the only Spanish speaker available to take on a case involving a murdered Venezuelan refugee, Burgess is all in but soon discovers a potential suspect is closer than she realizes.
Although the episode could’ve done a much better job in handling the controversial conversation around immigration—take a drink every time they use the word “illegal”—Burgess captivates in those moments where, instead of judging her fellow humanss, she goes into action while being sensitive to the plight of the refugees using humanity as her preferred weapon.
“Safe Harbour” opens with the slaying of a Venezuelan refugee who was shot to death in a drive-by shooting by an unknown assassin.
