She Came Back: Amybeth McNulty of Stranger Things and Anne with an E stars in psychological thriller
About four and a half years ago, it was announced that Amybeth McNulty of the Netflix shows Anne with an E and Stranger Things (although she hadn’t been on Stranger Things yet at the time) had signed on to star in a suspense thriller called Maternal. If you’ve been wondering what happened with that project, we finally have an update to share with you today: Maternal has been retitled She Came Back, and it’s now available to watch through Dark Matter TV, Apple, Vudu, Google Play, and Microsoft Xbox. It can be rented for $3.99 or purchased for $9.99.
Part of the reason for the long delay is the fact that Maternal started filming in early 2020, then the production got disrupted by the pandemic lockdowns. The project had to be put back together at a later date so filming could be finished.

Rabbit Hole, airing on Paramount+, is an exciting addition to the streaming service, especially if you’re looking for something that isn’t written or created by Taylor Sheridan under the Paramount umbrella. Kiefer Sutherland plays John Weir, a private contractor adept at corporate espionage, who more than often finds himself merely creating lies for his clients for them to get what they want.
He and his firm are adept at creating deception and aren’t necessarily concerned about whose lives they might ruin in the process. When his estranged childhood friend, Valence (Jason Butler Harner) hires Weir for a job involving a treasury officer, Ed Homm (Rob Yang), Weir’s entire existence is suddenly thrown upside down, as his team is killed, Valence commits suicide, and he is framed for the murder of Homm by the nefarious Crowley,...

“The Republic of Sarah” starts straightforwardly enough. Opening in the idyllic New Hampshire town of Greylock, the show introduces us to history teacher Sarah Cooper (Stella Baker), her friends, and to her own surprise, her estranged brother Danny (Luke Mitchell). Though he abruptly left Greylock, their abusive alcoholic mother (Megan Follows) and his fiancé Corinne (Hope Lauren) years ago, he’s now back as a representative of an overbearing oil company that’s ready to use every legal loophole available in order to bulldoze the entire town and dredge up the riches lurking right underneath. Almost despite herself, Sarah finds herself stepping in front of the first bulldozer, readying for an all-out fight to save the town she loves.
So far, so classic. But what “The Republic of Sarah” does next is what sets it apart, for better and for worse.

The CW has given straight-to-series orders to dramas Kung Fu, starring Olivia Liang, and The Republic Of Sarah, headlined by Stella Baker. The reboot of the 1970s David Carradine-starring TV series and the small town drama join Superman & Lois and Walker, which already received series orders in January. It's been a long, long time since I've seen the strange werewolf adaptation of Stephen King's novella, "Cycle of the Werewolf." Like many kids in the '80s, I'm sure, I saw this film way too young. There were images that stuck with me and terrorized my elastic mind, particularly the yellow smiley face kite coated with slick, red child's blood. Anyway, titled Silver Bullet for the big screen, the film, like many of Stephen King's stories, revolves around a child in peril. In this case, it's young paraplegic Marty, played by Corey Haim. His sister Jan (Megan Follows) has the job of having to look after him most of the time. Uncle Red (Garey Busey) comes to hang out with the kids, especially Marty, to be a stand-in...

The CW's reboot of Charmed may be coming back for a sophomore run, but it looks like there will be some big changes.
Showrunner Carter Covington is bowing out after just one season and is being replaced by Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro, according to Deadline.
The pair are said to be taking the series in a new direction, one that will focus more on the supernatural aspect as opposed to the family side of things.
While that's not to say the family dynamics will be left in the rear-view mirror, it does sound like the creative forces are more confident in taking the show in a darker direction.

Anne Shirley and her beloved Green Gables are being introduced to a new generation thanks to Netflix's period drama Anne With an E. As any fan of the book series knows, Prince Edward Island is the home of Green Gables and Anne's many childhood adventures. The stunning island was also where author Lucy Maud Montgomery wrote the novels, which were first published in 1908. Gorgeous though it may be, Canada's Prince Edward Island is relatively small, and, according to thelocationguide.com, it doesn't offer a great deal of tax incentives for filmmakers. As a result, filming there full-time would be pricey for an ongoing series - and that's exactly why the series is primarily shot in a different, and much more affordable, Canadian city.
In an interview with the CBC, executive producer Miranda de Pencier confirmed that Anne With an E is filmed almost entirely in Ontario, Canada. De Pencier...

1. “Orange Is the New Black” Season 6 (available July 27)
Why Should I Watch? Every single season of Netflix’s genre-bending hourlong series has been nominated for an Emmy — multiple Emmys, really. The first season snagged 12 nominations and three wins, and the fourth season still pulled in three nominations, even after years of debate over what genre it belongs in, switching categories, and increased competition. That’s probably because Jenji Kohan’s prison drama tells a compelling array of personal stories that come together to drive a timely modern narrative. It’s challenging, daring material that doesn’t always work, but strives to push its story into exciting new arenas. It’s television worth talking about, and that’s hard to come by, even in the peak TV era.
Bonus Reason: So much has been made about the talented ensemble in “Orange Is the New Black,” and so much of the credit...
