She sang the soprano part in the GeorgeSzell/Cleveland Orchestra recording of Beethoven's "Symphony No.9".
A noted operatic soprano, she has sung the soprano part in Bach's "Saint Matthew Passion" with the Westminster Chorus and the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Leonard Bernstein.
She is currently a member of the faculty at the Manhattan School of Music.
She was the soprano soloist in conductor Robert Shaw's 1960 Grammy-winning first stereo recording of Bach's "Mass in B Minor". (Shaw would make another recording of the work thirty years later, in digital stereo.)
