May 11, 1994 saw the release of Alex Proyas’ The Crow, and cinema was never the same. And now, 30 years later, we’re finally being treated to the definitive version on 4K Uhd. You know what big fans of physical media we are here at JoBlo so we’ve been highly anticipating this release. And we also Looooove The Crow. We’ve covered it on our JoBlo Horror Originals YouTube Channel and have even taken a look at its terrible sequels. Heck, I’m not sure about you guys but The Crow was one of those films I always loved to talk about on the old JoBlo forums. I wonder what they’d be saying about the new film?
And shoutout to those that were able to snag the very cool Steelbook that went quickly out of print. It’s easily one of the coolest Steelbooks out there and features an absolutely beautiful design.

Bill Skarsgård has continued to to impress audiences over the years and has helped maintain the glorious reputation of the Skarsgård family alongside his father Stellan Skarsgård and brother Alexander Skarsgård. Fans mostly know him for his role as Pennywise the Clown in the two It movies. He also played the main antagonist in 2023’s John Wick: Chapter 4.
Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise the Clown in 2017’s It
Skarsgård is gearing up for his leading role in the upcoming action film Boy Kills World. The film is co-produced by Sam Raimi and the makers of the film had a tough task while casting the main role of the Boy. It seems Skarsgård was not their original choice for the role, and Pete Davidson was considered initially, with the tone of the film also being completely different at the time.

Lionsgate is resurrecting The Crow reboot after prolonged difficulties taking flight. Under an eight-figure domestic deal, the studio is ready to give the reimagining of the 1994 cult classic the effort it deserves. Rupert Sanders directs, with Bill Skarsgård and musician FKA twigs leading the cast.
Based on the comic book series created, written, and illustrated by James O’Barr, The Crow tells the story of Eric Draven, a tortured soul brought back to life by a crow after the brutal rape and murder of his wife, Shelly Webster. Returned from the dead, Draven channels the regenerative powers of the crow to get revenge on the criminals responsible for his pain and torment. Alex Proyas directs the 1994 cult classic, starring Brandon Lee as Eric Draven, with Michael Wincott, Rochell Davis, Ernie Hudson, David Patrick Kelly, and Bai Ling.

The Crow is flying over to Lionsgate, which will handle domestic distribution for the long-awaited reboot.
Rupert Sanders directed the feature, with Bill Skarsgard starring as the titular character, which originally debuted in the late 1980s comics by James O’Barr. They centered on a man and his fiancée who are killed by a gang after the couple’s car breaks down. But the man exacts vengeance after being resurrected as the Crow. The late Brandon Lee famously played the character in the 1994 film, and was killed during an on-set accident.
FKA Twigs, Danny Huston, Laura Birn, Sami Bouajila and Jordan Bolger star. Victor Hadida, Molly Hassell, John Jencks, the late Samuel Hadida and the late Edward R. Pressman produced. Zach Baylin and Will Schneider penned the script.

Zahn McClarnon has justifiably garnered attention in recent years for his lead performance as Joe Leaphorn in AMC’s limited series Dark Winds. Leaphorn, a lieutenant in the Tribal Police in the Navajo Nation of Arizona, is suddenly besieged by a series of seemingly unrelated crimes within his community. As he gets closer to the truth of these cases, his own beliefs are challenged, bonds between colleagues are tested, and Joe has to dig up some painful memories from his own past.
Yet before McClarnon donned Joe’s badge and cowboy hat, he wore many other hats over his nearly 45 year career. The actor has a fairly prolific filmography as a voice over artist, he has played men on both sides of the law, and as you can imagine, as an actor of Lakota descent, has played his share of First Nations characters. Yet, when his more recent roles are carefully considered,...

Vault director Tom DeNucci’s new film Johnny & Clyde is usually referred to as a “crime thriller”, but we’ve also heard that the story shifts gears to become a “balls-to-the-wall slasher/horror” flick. Since I have been a dedicated slasher fan since the 1980s, I’m looking forward to checking it out when it receives a theatrical and VOD release this Friday, May 5th. With the release just a few days away, a trailer for Johnny & Clyde has arrived online and can be seen in the embed above.
Scripted by DeNucci and Nick Principe, Johnny & Clyde follows the two eponymous serial killers who are madly in love and on an endless crime spree. They have their sights set on robbing a prosperous casino run by crime boss Alana and her head of security.

More wrenches in the plan.
On Hunters Season 2 Episode 4, the team is so close yet far from finding Hitler, who, without their knowledge, has already found them.
In the past, Meyer finds two more hunters while Clara, Jonah, and Chava have a family dinner.
All the hunters are finally back together as they reunite with Joe, but the reunion is not how they expected it to go.
Travis and Joe ambushed them, leaving one dead, one injured, and one taken.
The hunt for the Fuhrer proved to be an uphill task. Before getting to him, there were so many people to go through. A train ticket in The Crow's bag leads them to someone with close ties to Hitler, where he might be hiding.
Assignments were given to different members, and the latest grouping saw Roxy and Lonny close. Roxy learned of Lonny's casual drug use. On confronting him,...

It is not a plan if it doesn't hit some snags.
The hunters are captured by someone who has been watching them for a while, leading to an even bigger team. Two not-so-sweet reunions happen on Hunters Season 2 Episode 3.
Jonah meets his grandmother's sister, who is also a hunter, and they collide due to the similarities in their personalities.
The now bigger team continues their hunt for Hitler while Hitler decides to get them before they get him.
Clara finds her way to Argentina because Jonah has some questions to answer.
Remember the mysterious lady in white who opened the episode on Hunters Season 2, Episode 1, and gouged the eyes out of a Nazi in Austria?
Well, we met Chava, hunter extraordinaire, Ruth's sister and Jonah's grandaunt.
Chava: I know she lives in you.
Jonah: Who?
Chava: Ruth.
Jonah: You ... didn't know my safta
Chava: Ruth was my sister.
Jonah: Ruth's sister died in the camps.

Hunters is a series created by David Weil starring Al Pacino, Logan Lerman and Saul Rubinek among others.
By Jordan Peele as executive producer, Hunters is in its second season with Al Pacino as maximum attraction of this series about nazi hunters which is appealing because of its aesthetics that are comic strip or “Seventies” look which will not go by unnoticed.
It is not by chance that this is a series with an unmistakeable Peele look, maximum exponent of the “new horror film”. Doubtlessly, this makes it special as well as the very unique way in which absurd is combined with a a series plot that at the same time is a very deep denouncement in social issues.
A very different, entertaining, funny, aesthetic and theatrical series that has a truly spectacular end of season in store for us. Not to be missed.

Jordan Peele has made three movies to date, all of them passing 100 million at the domestic box office but none of them spawning sequels. Peele, instead, has continued to dream up fresh new nightmares for audiences to absorb, the latest of which is this year’s Nope.
Nope is just about to hit 150 million at the worldwide box office, and with the film now available to watch at home, Peele chats with The New York Times this week about what’s next. In the interview he seems to suggest that he’s not done with the Nope Universe just yet.
According to IMDb, Michael Busch plays the uncredited character “Nobody” in Jordan Peele’s Nope, a character who ended up being cut out of the movie – interesting to note, however, that “Nobody” was glimpsed in the movie’s first official trailer. Cult nonsense filmmaking finds its Ultimate in Larry Blamire’s pair of monster-rally comedies, that parody classic cheapo sci-fi thrillers. The spot-on spoofery nails the genre’s hyper-earnest characterizations and affectionately stilted acting. The only disconnect are the high production values lavished on these personal films: remastered for reissue, they look and sound almost too good for authenticity’s sake. Separate purchases, each with bounteous extras, including Larry Blamire’s weird ‘reanimated movie classics.’
