Alexander (Alex) Archbold spent many years devoting himself to the film
and TV industry beginning in 1996 on the set of "Viper". Alex was
nominated for a DGC Award as a Location Manager for the film "Seven
Times Lucky" Aside from working his way up through the industry with
the help of many excellent mentors, Alex also instructed courses for
Film Training Manitoba, sat on the Board for the Directors Guild, and
also contributed to several Arts and Media institutions on pro-active
training programs and marketing. In 2001 Alex was featured on the YTV
show "hot jobs" where they job shadowed and featured one of their
episodes on the life of a location manager. In 2002 Alex was voted one
of the top 25 most exceptional individuals in the province of Manitoba
in the "top 25 under 25" program of which he was featured on several
commercials. Having left Manitoba in 2003 to be closer to family in
Alberta, Alex worked as a Location Manager on Canadian Idol Season 1,
and as a Western Regional Location Manager and Segment Producer on
Canadian Idol Season 2. Alex also appeared as the on air Awards
presenter for the CCMA (Canadian Country Music Awards)in 2005. He has
since stepped back from the film industry to raise his children, and
enjoy family life.
