- (July 1968) He was a member of the theater actors' club in Hollywood, the Masquers Club. He was chair of the theater committee for several years, during which time he directed and sometimes acted in their twice yearly productions. His most notable production was Othello, in which he cut the play, directed, and acted the lead role.
- (1942 - 1945) Performed in 4 plays on Broadway. (1945-46) Co-Starred with Elisabeth Bergner in touring company of The Two Mrs. Carrolls
- (1948) He acted in Frederick Lonsdale's play, "The Last of Mrs. Cheyney," at the Cape Playhouse in Dennis, Massachusetts with Kay Francis in the cast.
