We’re entering an unlikely phase of scandal politics: the deny-it stage. This follows the caught-in-the-headlights phase—the Spitzer-Edwards-Sanford phase. This new stage may have begun with the recent dismissal by the Obamas of rumors about the then Senate candidate’s possible affair back in 2004 with a campaign worker, Vera Baker. This denial was oddly effective because it was made by Michelle Obama—she laughed it off. But not long ago the scandal playbook would have counseled that any acknowledgement at all of such a rumor would invite the kind of scrutiny which invariably diminishes you. Then followed Nikki Haley, who, in the face of quite credible reports—from the purported lover in question—absolutely and categorically dismissed the notion. There were emails, but, it is true, no smoking gun. And, as it happened, relatively little follow-up. Even a second allegation of another affair didn’t really give the story...

Michelle Obama has had a much better year than her husband, President Barack Obama. Clothing-wise, at least.
She looked hot in a shocking pink Michael Kors fitted sleeveless dress at last year's White House Correspondents Dinner. And at this year's star-studded event, she stayed in the same color family, wearing a sexy red jersey, off-the-shoulder, cap-sleeve dress by Saigon-born, Nepalese-based designer Prabal Gurung.
It's safe to say that Michelle has now defined her personal first lady style with her ongoing selection of sleeveless dresses. Heck, no one even bats an eye at her bare biceps anymore.
This is not the first time Michelle has worn Prabal's wares. She selected one of his dresses to present her inaugration gown to the Smithsonian in March. We hope Prabal's business gets a PR boost from the first lady's fashion endorsement. But sad to say, it didn't really help Chicago-based designer Maria Pinto much.

If this whole leader of the free world gig doesn't pan out for President Barack Obama, does he have a career in stand-up? Watch his performance on Saturday (May 1) at the annual White House Correspondent's Ball and dinner and decide.
After all, Sarah Palin didn't do too badly when she tried stand-up on Jay Leno's late night show. And she's now got her own reality show on the Discovery Channel. And that's reported to be really funny!
Our favorite part of his Whcd monologue is the bit about "The Jersey Shore" addendum to the newly passed health care bill. According to Obama, Snooki, JWwow, 'The Situation' and House Minority Leader John Boehner will not be taxed on their use of tanning beds. Should Sarah Palin also be on that list?
And of course, we loved the part about Vice President Joe Biden talking Barack into doing the Whc dinner.

As the media elite gathered in Washington to gawk, gladhand and rub elbows with President Obama at the annual White House Correspondents Dinner on Saturday, a dark cloud that was gathering had already started to dissipate.
That cloud came from The National Enquirer, which for about 24 hours – and with a boost on The Drudge Report – dangled an exclusive story about the president supposedly having an affair with a campaign aide, Vera Baker. Not many years ago, this so...

If you're wondering who Vera Baker -- the woman rumored to have been involved with Barack Obama during his Senate race -- is, then you must not have been paying attention to the Republicans during the 2008 presidential campaign.
John McCain's camp made a big fuss over the former political fund-raiser's relationship with Obama during his 2004 Senate race.
Implications were that they were more than co-workers. But even back then, no one took these allegations seriously.
Which may have been because the Republican party was throwing anything they could at Obama -- that he wasn't a natural U.S. citizen, that he was a card-carrying Muslim, that he was a terrorist supporter, etc, etc.
According to Wikipedia, here's Baker's impressive background: She was born in 1974 in San Francisco, where she grew up. She graduated from Mills College in Oakland, Calif., and in 2000 founded Baker, Wambu & Associates, a political consulting firm...

The National Enquirer, the tabloid that brought us the fun-packed John Edwards/Rielle Hunter affair and the entertaining Tiger Woods/Rachel Uchitel scandal, now writes about rumors that President Barack Obama had an affair with his former campaign finance director, Vera Baker.
And now the web is awash with reports that there's literally a $1 million bounty out for information to confirm the rumor, offered by anti-Obama operatives.
A limo driver -- whom the Enquirer says was approached by those operatives to tell what he knows -- is the tab's only source for information. The driver claims he took Baker to a hotel where Obama would later arrive back in 2004. Pretty damning stuff. Because people working and traveling together never stay at the same hotel.
People will say anything -- and we do mean anything -- for that kind of money. What do you think about this so-called scandal?
Is it...

Barack Obama & Vera Baker do the nasty! Since this story was published on National Enquirer, there's a good chance it's completely bogus, but hey, they have been right a couple of times.
They're claiming President Barack Obama and Vera Baker had an affair and there's a security video showcasing the sexual encounter that took place between the two at a DC hotel.
We all know who Barack Obama is (lets hope we all do), but who is this Vera Baker? Well, she's one of the many Liberals that helped on Obama's campaign by raising millions in campaign contributions. According to sources, there's at least one anti-Obama op willing to pay as much as $1 million to get info about the 'hush hush' affair.
One witness to the alleged affair is a limo driver who reportedly drove Baker to a hotel where Barack was staying. The driver claims he waited in the...
