Blake Lively was back on the NYC set of Gossip Girl this morning to log time in front of the cameras with her costars. She was joined on the Manhattan set by Leighton Meester, Ed Westwick, and Kaylee DeFer. The foursome worked on a scene together, with Blake checking her iPhone between takes. Blake was bundled up in a W118 by Walter Baker coat and a scarf for the episode, despite the mid-70s temperatures in the Big Apple today. She's been working on Gossip Girl for the last two weeks, since taking a short break to marry Ryan Reynolds in South Carolina. This year’s Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival kicks off today and runs through May 8. For nearly twenty years Hot Docs has showcased the best in documentary film from around the world, and 2011 is no different. Featuring over 200 films in total, picking which films are worth seeing is a tall order for even the most seasoned fest-vet.
With that in mind, allow us to present the second part (part one here) of our Hot Docs coverage – A selection of documentaries that may just pique your interest. Be sure to check back over the next week or so for our full reviews.

And the film festival beat goes on… North America’s largest documentary festival the Hot Docs fest runs from April 28th through May 8th, in Toronto, Canada, so it means that all our readers in the area and vicinity will have the opportunity to see The Black Power Mixtape, a film we’ve given a lot of pixels to on this website, so I won’t bother rehashing. Just search the site for the title and see what comes up, if you’re just joining us.
Also making the cut is another Sundance 2011 entry titled The Interrupters, from Academy Award-nominated director Steve James (Hoop Dreams). The doc follows the lives of three ‘violence interrupters’ who return to their Chicago neighborhoods to stand in the middle of violence and mediate the complexities stemming from gang and territorial fighting.
But there are a whole bunch of films in the festivals full lineup...
