Is there hope that the Donovan family can make it out of Ray Donovan Season 4 unscathed?
That was thrown into question on Ray Donovan Season 4 Episode 11 when Abby realized there was a good chance her family was going to be targeted.
This has been common knowledge for weeks, so the fact Ray hasn't forced his family out of town thus far is pretty mind boggling. Yes, he did approach Terry about laying low, but Abby and the kids should have been shipped off by now.
It's almost as if Ray does not understand the severity of the situation, and if he doesn't get it together soon, he can kiss his family goodbye.
Frank Barnes in the mix was always going to complicate things. He just can't be trusted.
Nothing good would have happened if Ray became an informant. Heck, Dimitri's goons probably would have figured it out.

Spoilers This week’s episode of Ray Donovan saw Ray’s world pivot to the shit — as his luck is nowhere near as persistent as his dad Mickey. In the episode, Chinese Algebra, we remember the edict from the late actor Dennis Farina (Cousin Avi) in the Guy Ritchie film Snatch about “sneaky f****n’ Russians” like Boris the blade, who kept screwing him over. These sneaky f*****g Russians do not disappoint. Ray (Liev Schreiber) is dealing with the devil, Dmitri (Raymond J. Barry), for Avi’s (Steven Bauer’s) life, while he’s also managing Frank Barnes’s (Michael McGrady’s) inquisitive speculation — which deepens. And then there’s the...read more...

Back in 2001, Csx had a serious problem.
A train conductor made the dire mistake of stepping out of his moving train to throw a switch by the railway, not realizing he had improperly set the train's dynamic braking system. The train rapidly got away from the goof, sped off completely unmanned, and started up a real world drama of an out of control train and the struggle to find a way to stop it. This is referred to as the "Crazy Eights" incident, based upon the lead locomotive's number of #8888.
After seeing the new Unstoppable and understanding the details on which it is based, I feel the film's boast of 'based on true events' is actually pretty accurate. While the project was most certainly exaggerated and dramatized for our viewing pleasures,...

Our Unstoppable review.
Director: Tony Scott
Starring: Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, Rosario Dawson, Ethan Suplee, Kevin Dunn
Release Date: Us – Out Now / UK – Nov 24th
The misleadingly titled ‘Unstoppable’ tells the story of two ordinary working men’s brave attempt to stop a runaway train before it crashes into small town America. It’s hard to talk about ‘Unstoppable’ without drawing comparisons with Tony Scott and Denzel Washington’s last collaboration, ‘The Taking of Pelham 123’. That was a remake, and a lacklustre one at that. Well for some reason, Scott decided to remake it again and call it ‘Unstoppable’. Ok, so their both about trains, it’s an easy dig to take, but the similarities between the two films don’t end there. As with ‘Pelham 123’, ‘Unstoppable’ is built around the relationship between two men. In the earlier film, the manic and not particularly menacing John Travolta plays off...

As fast-moving runaway train thrillers go, this rumbles.
It begins on an October morning in Fuller Yard in Wilkins, Pennsylvania. Locomotive #777, towing 39 cars loaded with 30,000 gallons of toxic chemicals, needs to be moved to a different track but when a slovenly, overweight, incompetent engineer (Ethan Suplee) neglects to secure the breaks, he accidentally launches a .coaster,. much to the dismay of experienced traffic controller Connie Hooper (Rosario Dawson) and the corporate exec (Kevin Dunn) who are duly warned via a conference call that, if they derail the freight train, the negative publicity will lead to stock depreciation. Besides, Fox news helicopters are already circling overhead. Meanwhile, 200 miles away, veteran engineer Frank Barnes (Denzel Washington), facing forced retirement, and rookie conductor Will Colson (Chris Pine) are aboard #1206, heading directly towards the racing runaway which, if it isn.t stopped, is on a collision course that endangers the lives of 150 elementary-school children...

"Unstoppable"; with Denzel Washington, Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson; directed by Tony Scott.

I loved "Unstoppable."
Every improbable, electric minute of Tony Scott’s runaway train movie, its ludicrous start. I loved its “why didn’t they do that in the first place? Because then we wouldn’t have a movie” ending. Most of all, though, I loved the fact that it’s red meat for the Great Tony Scott debate, ie., is he a cinematic genius or a cinematic vandal?
"Unstoppable" returns Scott to his best action instincts with appealing simplicity. A runaway train loaded with toxic chemicals cruises through rural Pennsylvania toward a certain derailment among thousands of people. Denzel Washington, all relaxed and authoritative, and Chris Pine are the veteran-rookie conductor team who chase down the “missile the size of the Chrysler building.” The chase includes relentless pace, a dead-man’s curve,...

Unstoppable is about a railway train gone rogue. Its uncontrollable speeds are not a terrorist threat, and there are no bad guys trying to blackmail the government; there are no ill-intentions in the train's runaway nature, it just sort of happened, as a result of stupidity and poor decision-making. Unstoppable is almost an old-fashioned disaster film in that regard.
Old-fashioned is not the first descriptor that comes to mind when talking about Unstoppable's director, Tony Scott. Best exemplified in recent action films like Domino (2006) and Man on Fire (2004), Scott has shaped himself as a stylist more than a storyteller. His adrenaline-laced approach here is cerebral only regarding the part of your body that aches after two hours of fast edits and flashes of light. And although a speeding train is a beast that might lend itself to Scott's stylism, it's interesting to see the director paring back his tricks...

Unstoppable
Directed by: Tony Scott
Cast: Denzel Washinton, Chris Pine, Rosario Dawson
Running Time: 1 hr 38 mins
Rating: PG-13
Release Date: November 12, 2010
Plot: Inspired by true events, a Pennsylvania train engine becomes a runaway. And now it’s up to an old train engineer (Washington) and his trainee (Pine) to stop it or else!
Who’S It For? The action is sometimes intense, and certain people will be content staring at Washington and Pine.
Expectations: Speed on a train? You mean Under Siege 2? I like Washington, who doesn’t? And Pine is hit (Star Trek) and miss (Bottle Shock).
Scorecard (0-10)
Actors:
Denzel Washington as Frank Barnes: Washington falls in to this character pretty easily. There’s nothing new here for him. His hardcore fan base won’t see anything wrong with that. Washington is 55 years old now and it seems he will always have a place as the crafty veteran.

Director Tony Scott and actor Denzel Washington must love working on films with breakaway trains. Last year the mediocre “Taking of Pelham 1 2 3” was released and featured a runaway subway train. Now “Unstoppable” comes along and gives us a runaway freight train. This time the duo gets it right. Washington stars as Frank Barnes, a veteran railroad engineer. Barnes is a man who has seen it all and is the wiser for it. On this day he has to work with a union upstart conductor named Will Colson (Chris Pine). Barnes is not thrilled to working with the wet behind the ears Colson. There is an uneasy tension between the two men separated by a generation. We soon find out that the two do have something in common. Their family lives are in shambles. Barnes’s wife had died from cancer and he has an uneasy relationship with his two daughters.

Unstoppable
Starring Denzel Washington, Chris Pine, and Rosario Dawson
Directed by Tony Scott
Rated PG-13
Frank Barnes (Denzel Washington) has worked on the railroads for 28 years. You could say it's all he knows, but he knows it well. He may not understand the physics, but he knows how the trains move, how they behave, and what to do to keep things safe out on the tracks. However, he had recently lost his wife after a battle with cancer, and the relationship with his two daughters has been suffering since.
Will Colson (Chris Pine) is fresh out of training, and on his first day as a conductor. Older engineers look at him as a threat from the union, yellow vest and all. But Will is dealing with problems of his own, being separated from his wife and unable to see his child, along with the pending court battles involved with it.

Glen catches a preview screening of Tony Scott's new thriller, Unstoppable, starring Denzel Washington. So then: any good?
Hot on the heels of The Taking Of Pelham 123, director Tony Scott reunites with star Denzel Washington for his latest locomotive adventure, Unstoppable. Unlike the previous film, this isn't based on a well regarded classic. The action takes place above ground and instead of the events being put into place by John Travolta's Ott antagonist, the chain of events here are caused by human error, as two dim-witted railway engineers cut corners and set into motion a series of actions that leads to an unmanned train, roughly half a mile in length and packed with dangerous materials, heading towards populated areas.

This is the ‘popcorn flick’ of the fall season. Director Tony Scott has crafted an intense (and at times, dramatic) thrill ride for audiences. I truly question why this film wasn’t released in the summer; it has such a seasonal feel to it. It combines vivid action sequences, a family element, and a rollercoaster of events designed to rattle your senses. It’s even educational – throwing insight into the topographic layout of the Pennsylvania railways and rail car functionality.
Based in rural southern Pennsylvania railroad country, the film follows the inaugural training day of conductor Chris Colson (Chris Pine) with his mentor Frank Barnes (Denzel Washington). Unbeknownst to them, a train has left an alternate station unmanned and is careening at high speed into a bevy of populated areas not to mention on a crash-course towards them. To further complicate matters, it has no air brakes and is toting...

"Unstoppable" premiered Tuesday night (Oct. 26) at the Regency Village Theater in Westwood, CA. The new action flick opens nationwide on Nov. 12. Chris Pine and Denzel Washington play two men who must stop a runaway train full of chemicals that is charging towards a residential town.

"Unstoppable" is loosely based on the "Crazy Eights" unmanned train incident in 2001. Two of the train cars were carrying thousands of gallons of phenol acid. The train was eventually stopped when a crew of a second train coupled onto the runaway train and slowly applied its brakes. On the heels of the U.S. release of "Unstoppable", The 20th Century Fox held a premiere for the movie in California on Tuesday, October 26. Regency Village Theater was used as the gathering spot of the cast and crew who were all teaming up to support the promotional event.
Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson hit the red carpet as solo, but some attendees chose to tag along their family members. Denzel Washington held hand with wife Pauletta Pearson upon his arrival while director Tony Scott posed with his wife and children on the red carpet. Moreover, Mimi Rogers, who produces the movie, was accompanied by daughter Julia Rogers-Ciaffa that night.
In the film, Washington's Frank Barnes and Pine's Will Gordon are aboard a heroic mission to halt an unmanned locomotive loaded with toxic cargo from wiping out a city. This PG-13 drama thriller is set to be unleashed in the U.

The 20th Century Fox has shared fresh scenes from "Unstoppable" by debuting some new clips. It shows the first meeting of Chris Pine's Will Gordon and Denzel Washington's Frank Barnes until the two are involved in an intense situation as they try to prevent an unmanned locomotive loaded with toxic cargo from wiping out a city.
Barnes, seemingly without any fear, will do anything including risking his own life and probably losing a chance to meet his daughters again. Rosario Dawson's Connie Hooper is a train dispatcher who does not want Barnes to take the matter on his own hands, but others see Barnes and his conductor Gordon as heroes.
Tony Scott serves behind the lens for "Unstoppable", while Mark Bomback writes the script. Mimi Rogers, Julie Yorn and Tony Scott are producing the action thriller, which still has some tear-jerking moments. This movie is due November 12 in the U.

Chris Pine will be bringing some bad news to Denzel Washington in "Unstoppable". Five clips from Tony Scott-directed action film have been brought out for viewing pleasure, and one of them captures the scene wherein Chris and Denzel have got themselves into the runaway train but realize that they just lost the brakes.
In the movie, Chris plays a young conductor Will Colson who joins Denzel's veteran train engineer Frank Barnes in a race to stop an unmanned runaway train. The rest of the clips give away a snippet of the first encounter between Will and Frank and a look into the scene where they go head to head with the runaway train, among others.

Thanks to Fox, a new batch of Unstoppable pictures have been unleashed on to the world wide interweb giving a glimpse of Tony Scott's latest stab of heart-stopping action. The stills show veteran engineer Frank Barnes (Denzel Washington) and young conductor Will Colson (Chris Pine) sporting seriously pensive looks. And fair enough: there's an unmanned train whistling towards a populated area and gathering speed, and it's down to them to stop it. And if that's not enough, it's bearing a highly toxic cargo. And if that's not enough, there's also a passenger train directly in the path of the loose caboose, bearing small children and kittens (we think).Unstoppable is based loosely on a real-life incident in which a train careered across Ohio with no-one at the controls. That was 2001 and the whole shebang ended relatively calmly. This is 2010 and, with Scott involved, expect it not to. Unstoppable -...

The story, which is loosely based on real events, revolves around seasoned train engineer Frank Barnes (Washington) and newly hired operator Will Colson (Pine). While out doing a training run, they hear a warning of an out-of-control train full of hazardous chemicals careening down the rails on a path toward massive destruction. The flat scenes then turn into intense ones after Rosario Dawson's Connie Hooper learns that a half-mile-long freight train carrying combustible liquids and poisonous gas is runaway without a man controlling it. Now veteran engineer Barnes and his conductor Gordon are in a race against time to prevent the unmanned train from wiping out a city.
In his effort to stop the train, Barnes will do anything including risking his own life and probably losing a chance to meet his daughters again. Thus, it hints that the movie will have a tear-jerking moment inserted in between the action sequence.
"Unstoppable" is directed by Tony Scott with the script provided by Mark Bomback.
