- Zoe Rae was born on July 13, 1910 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She was an actress, known for Danger Within (1918), The Kaiser, the Beast of Berlin (1918) and Gloriana (1916). She was married to Ronald Foster Barlow. She died on May 20, 2006 in Newberg, Oregon, USA.

- Following her career she married and had two children (boy and girl). Later tried screenwriting and singing and opened her own dance studio in Hollywood.
- Once dubbed "The Child Bernhardt," her contract at Universal was not renewed due to interference by her headstrong stage mother and the fact that her father wanted her to have a normal education.
- In the movie A Kentucky Cinderella (1917) she was required to perform in "black face," which was done with the application of a bright-red powder dissolved in warm water to her face and body. She also performed with Lon Chaney in The Kaiser, the Beast of Berlin (1918). No print exists.
