A grand romantic gesture turns into a dangerous international adventure for Chris Evans and Ana de Armas in the trailer for Ghosted, released Monday.
The stars lead the Apple TV+ film centered on Cole (Evans) who, after having a date with Sadie (de Armas), is left confused when she ghosts him and doesn’t respond to his texts. When Evans’ Cole decides to travel to London to surprise Sadie while she works, he makes a shocking discovery that there’s more to Sadie than he realized: She’s a secret agent. The two are then swept away on an international adventure to save the world.
“You got me kidnapped and tortured, all after one date,” Evans’ Cole tells de Armas’ Sadie as they run away from a car that just exploded.
“You’re the one who flew to London,” she tells him, only for him to reiterate, “It was a romantic gesture!

Mason Lee, the son of famed filmmaker Ang Lee, will play Bruce Lee in a forthcoming film of the same name for Sony’s 3000 Pictures. Ang will direct the project from a script written by Dan Futterman. Futterman is taking over scripting duties after Jean Castelli, Alex Law, Mabel Cheung, and Wells Tower penned previous versions of the story.
It’s challenging to overestimate Lee’s astronomical impact on the martial arts film genre. Already a star in Asia, Bruce Lee’s Enter the Dragon catapulted his star into the stratosphere in the West. Had he lived beyond the age of 32, Lee would have achieved the success of actors like Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Donnie Yen, and more. Still, Lee is a household name despite his early passing, and few martial artists have risen to his level of notoriety since. Lee’s death was labeled “death by misadventure” by authorities,...

Using advanced new de-aging technology, Will Smith goes face to face with his greatest enemy in the first trailer for “Gemini Man” — himself.
In Ang Lee’s futuristic thriller, Smith plays a world-class assassin hunting a man who knows his every move, only to discover that the target is actually his clone. The twist is, this trailer begins from the perspective of the young Will Smith, and you’ll do a quick double take when you realize you’re looking at a “Fresh Prince” era Smith rather than how he actually looks in 2019.
“This story is not one that could have been told with cinema as we know it. However, thanks to incredible new digital technology, not only can we finally see both younger and older Will Smith embodied together on screen, but we can also experience the story in a deeply immersive way,” director Lee said in a statement.

Fey and Poehler reunite for Sisters, a new film from Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore about two disconnected sisters summoned home to clean out their childhood bedroom before their parents sell the family house. This weekend's Jimmy Fallon-hosted "Saturday Night Live" was like a big family Christmas get-together, reuniting many of the show's biggest stars for a holiday walk down memory lane. It was a season-best episode to close 2011.
Fallon was not shy about filling the show with the most famous characters from his own "SNL" days, kicking things off with Boston's favorite high school delinquents, Sully and Denise (Rachel Dratch). Fifteen years down the road, we find the pair up to their old tricks, but with a twist – time has actually passed and they are adults with five children (Weezer, Chubsy, Squeezebox, Hags and Baby Richard) trying to sneak into a high school dance. That's about all that's different though, the pair make out like old times ("You are!") and drink Franzia from a bladder sans box. Also back in rotation, Fallon's impressions of Jerry Seinfeld and Barry Gibb, psyching himself up...

It’s easy to be jaded about the holidays. It’s not unlike the temptation to feel weary and blasé about Saturday Night Live. Both seemed to feel more special when we were younger, didn’t they? But you would have to be a Grinch with a heart (and funny bone) two sizes too small not to have gotten into the spirit of last night’s joyous, hilarious, and often times touching, instant classic episode of Saturday Night Live. It encompassed all the things that make the holidays — and SNL — so wonderful when done right: It reunited old friends, brought back fond memories,...

NBC’s Outlaw has put filming new episodes on hold. Friday night is tough, and if it can’t improve on those ratings, it’s probably done for. The bright side? For all the already canceled and nearly canceled shows this fall, we still haven’t lost a gay character!
One small grace coming out of the epidemic of suicides: Exodus has decided it might be too much to hold their Day of Truth, the opposition to Day of Silence. Could the ex-gay folks have finally found their hearts? Or are they worried how that would look?
Showtime has renewed The Real L Word for another year. I’ve never watched it, so I don’t know if this is good news or not.
I can’t really make up my mind about this article. The text itself isn’t bad, but the title, Homophobia Hurts Straight Men Too seems just a little indulgent.

Now that Jay Leno has settled back into "The Tonight Show" and Conan O'Brien has taken a decidedly different tactic to stay in the minds of the masses, we can finally get back to really focusing on the guests of your favorite talk shows (rather than the hosts themselves). It's Oscar hangover week, which means that there will be plenty of movie awards post-mortem discussion care of some of the biggest stars in Hollywood.
But even though everybody will be talking about "The Hurt Locker" and its win over "Avatar," there is still an amazing batch of music on tap this week. "The Late Show with David Letterman" has an eclectic week of music: Lady Antebellum on Monday (March 8), Broken Bells (the collaboration between Danger Mouse and Shins frontman James Mercer) on Tuesday (March 9) and veteran goth punkers Alkaline Trio on Wednesday (March 10). Meanwhile, "The Tonight Show" features some excellent musical counter-programming,...

» Some samples of Adam Lambert's new album hit the Web, and Jim Cantiello broke down every second of them.
» The Weezer Snuggie (or "The Wuggie") is pretty incredible, though even frontman Rivers Cuomo has no idea why.
» Both Chris Brown and Rihanna talked extensively about the assault back in February. Brown sat down with Sway to talk about the aftermath while Rihanna spoke to ABC about expectations and the future.

MTV's landmark show has a long and storied history with the city and returns to home turf on September 13.

It all started in New York in 1984. Ronald Reagan was president. Times Square was a neon-shrouded dump. And MTV invaded Radio City Music Hall for the first ever Video Music Awards. Madonna took the stage in a lacy wedding gown to sing about virginity, Michael Jackson nabbed three Moonmen for "Thriller" and, well, pop culture was never the same again.
With the 2009 show returning to Radio City on September 13 at 9 p.m., we had to take a look back at the many, many ways — from Madonna making out with Britney Spears to hundreds of Slim Shady clones helping Eminem out with his live act — that the VMAs have rocked New York.
