Exclusive: Actress Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) has signed with Untitled Entertainment for management, with partner Evan Hainey to run point on her behalf.
“Funny enough Evan helped start my career well over a decade ago and we have remained good friends ever since,” Graham told Deadline. “I have consistently turned to him for guidance over the years as I navigated my journey in this industry, and he has never steered me wrong. This is a natural alignment. I am very grateful to join forces with a great man and solid friend like him.”
Graham broke out with her series regular role as witch Bonnie Bennett across all eight seasons of The CW’s supernatural teen drama The Vampire Diaries, which aired between 2009 and 2017. Developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, the show based on L.J. Smith’s books had her starring alongside Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, and more.

Back when 22-episode seasons were the norm, and vampires, witches, and everything in between were all the rage, an itty-bitty show about romance, fangs, and teenage drama premiered on The CW.
Based on the best-selling book series, The Vampire Diaries came along when Twilight and True Blood were at the height of their popularity. While it easily could have been written off as a thankless entry into the conversation, it exceeded expectations, becoming perhaps the most well-remembered vampire tale of the bunch.
It's been 14 years since the series debuted on The Vampire Diaries, and we thought it might be fun to look back on the pilot and see how it stands up today and how well it sets up the rest of the series (hint: not well).

There is no way to deny that acting in a television show takes great talent. The actor has to become someone else, adapting to a different personality altogether, and on the popular show, The Vampire Diaries, Ian Somerhalder was able to do just that in his role as Damon Salvatore.
It turns out that Somerhalder is pretty multitalented since he didn’t only act in the show but directed a few episodes as well. Now, we have learned that Kat Graham, who portrayed Bonnie Bennett on The Vampire Diaries, loved working with Somerhalder as a director.

Hollywood typically casts 20-something actors as teens, primarily due to labor laws. The Vampire Diaries was no different, with most of the cast members in their early to mid-20s when the teen drama began. By the time Tvd ended after eight seasons, its actors had aged. Ian Somerhalder was one of the oldest on the show, so how old was he while on The Vampire Diaries?

The series finale of a TV show is always full of conflicting emotions. There’s the joy of seeing a story reach a conclusion on its own terms, but it also means saying goodbye to characters and a world you enjoyed experiencing. The Vampire Diaries fans certainly felt that way as the credits rolled on its 171st episode. The series finale, aptly titled “I Was Feeling Epic,” ties together a lot of loose ends but leaves enough unanswered questions for fans to fantasize about the future of certain Mystic Falls residents. Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) ended The Vampire Diaries on a high note, but he also had eyes on his next goal.

When fans of The Vampire Diaries talk about the best storylines in the series, the 1994 Prison World plot comes up more often than not. It ticks so many boxes, like putting familiar characters in an unfamiliar place, and pairing off Ian Somerhalder with Kat Graham.
The Season 6 storyline was fun to watch, and the Prison Worlds added a crucial piece of lore to The Vampire Diaries universe. According to Somerhalder and Graham, it was one of the most enjoyable storylines to film.

According to Fandom, the Prison Worlds are magical traps created by the Gemini Coven and codified as spells in the grimoires of the Bennett family — originally intended for use on Kai Parker. But it sounds like that universe is not done with the beloved star.

We’ve seen plenty of young adult vampire stories in film and television from Twilight to Vampire Diaries. There’s also been hunter-centric Shadowhunters, where vampires heavily feature, and we all know the Og Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Vampires and their hunters have been gracing our pages and screens since Dracula hit the presses in 1897, yet most modern takes have focused on white protagonists—human, hunter, and vampire alike. Black folks and other people of color have often been relegated to sidekick, or worse, the Magical Negro trope. First Kill puts a young Black hunter and her hunter family in the Uv spotlight alongside the traditional pale, white bloodsucking aristocrats.
We talked to showrunner Felicia Henderson about First Kill, bringing the short story to life, and making room for Black folks in genre storytelling.

Legacies, the third series in The Vampire Diaries universe, is currently airing its second season on The CW.
While it inherited the crazy twists The Vampire Diaries and The Originals were well-known for, Legacies has yet to kill off any notable characters, something that is causing a wealth of problems in the narrative.
On a show filled with supernatural creatures battling the fine line between good and evil, it's surprising we're almost 30 episodes in without some significant risks.

Mystic Falls is about to get even more chaotic, because Kai Parker is back! Chris Wood is officially reprising his Vampire Diaries role in the second season of Legacies, Entertainment Weekly confirms. The villainous character first appeared on Tvd's sixth and seventh seasons before returning for a three-episode arc in the final season. He is infamous for killing his twin sister and his entire Gemini coven, as well as putting Elena Gilbert under a sleeping curse.
The last we saw of the witch-turned-vampire, he was safely locked away in a prison world created by Bonnie Bennett and Alaric Saltzman's twins, aka Kai's nieces. Seeing that the first season of Legacies ends with Josie and Lizzie Saltzman finding the Ascendant, which is the key to Kai's prison world, it seems like they might be to blame for his potential release. We can't wait to see how this turns out!

Hope Mikaelson followed in her father’s footsteps on Thursday’s Legacies season finale — and not in a good way. After rescuing Landon from Clarke (and a headless horseman) and finally dropping the L-bomb, Hope did a cordless bungee jump into the pit, correctly theorizing that her tribrid nature would stop Malivore (also the creation of a witch, vampire and werewolf) from being revived.
Unfortunately, things weren’t any better back in Mystic Falls. An army of Triad goons — including Mg’s mom and a handsome devil named Burr — stormed the Salvatore School, using a dark object to nullify the students’ powers.

What "Death Keeps Knocking On My Door" proved was that Hope wants to make everyone think she's moved on and is fine, but her biggest fear is that her father sacrificed himself and wound up facing an eternity of pain.

What "Death Keeps Knocking On My Door" proved was that Hope wants to make everyone think she's moved on and is fine, but her biggest fear is that her father sacrificed himself and wound up facing an eternity of pain.
While the Necromancer will...

Even in a magical world, elections don’t always turn out the way they should. Some of Legacies‘ finest learned this the hard way on Thursday when Alaric’s decision to form a student honor council — made up of one representative from each supernatural faction — turned the campus into a political war zone.
A well-dressed Lizzie and a very well-dressed Mg (just as Quincy Fouse foretold!) were the undisputed frontrunners for their respective species, but settling on a leader proved slightly more challenging for the werewolves — not that anyone should be surprised by that. When Rafael’s alpha made it...

The series premiere of The CW’s Legacies took us back to the Salvatore Boarding School for the Young and Gifted, where three things are required for admission: supernatural powers, a brooding sensibility and, of course, crippling emotional baggage.
Thursday’s debut focused on the school’s two newest arrivals: werewolf Rafael and his foster brother Landon, the latter of whom we met during one of Hope’s many trips to Mystic Falls in The Originals‘ final season. Unlike Rafael, who immediately formed a bond with his fellow ‘wolves, Landon had a slightly more difficult time acclimating to life at...

DC Comics' official, "The Vampire Diaries" comic book series, starting in 2013, ran 39 issues, 'inspired' by The CW TV series, featuring stories by B. Clay Moore, Colleen Doran, Leah Moore and John Reppion:
"...the series is set in 'Mystic Falls', Virginia, a town charged with supernatural history since its settlement of migrants from New England in the late 19th century.
"Elena Gilbert' (Nina Dobrev), a teenage girl who has just lost both parents in a car accident, falls in love with a 162-year-old vampire named 'Stefan Salvatore' (Paul Wesley).

The characters apparently found happiness on The Vampire Diaries Season 8.
It was a long and gloomy road to it, but whether they lived or died, they had an epic time in the afterlife.
With Nina Dobrev making her long-awaited return as both Elena and Katherine, what could possibly go wrong?
Um, quite a lot, actually.
The season put characters together and ripped them back apart in the space of a few scenes.
It made for some nail-biting scenes that made us tear up.
It's time to break down The Vampire Diaries' final season in our latest TV Fanatic Report Card!
1. Season 8 Mvp: Bonnie Bennett As always, Bonnie continued to put her friends' needs before her own and it was horrid. At least we got to see her happy. It sucks her happiness was short-lived, but she seems at peace now and travelling the world. Her powers manifesting into psychic abilities was Amazing.

True to form, a lot happened during I Was Feeling Epic, spanning decades of time and featuring more twists and turns than should really be allowed in a single hour. But this is The Vampire Diaries, and its biggest sin would have been if it was boring.
The tease from the end of last week’s penultimate instalment is resolved fairly quickly, with Bonnie straddling the line between life and death once again before Elena and Enzo tell her she’s not quite done yet. The fact that Elena is walking and talking and able to interact in this limbo place will be important later, but I loved that Bonnie was the...

Is Bonnie Bennett dead?
That's one of the bigger questions as we head into The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 16.
Yes, you guys. The series finale of this iconic vampire drama is finally upon us.
It will be accompanied by a retrospective special which will find the cast and crew reflecting on their time with the series and what it has meant to be a part of the family.
With Nina Dobrev's return already confirmed, fans have been questioning whether Bonnie was going to die to bring her back.
Considering the way The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 15 concluded, it sure does not look good for Bonnie.
The teaser shows Bonnie meeting Elena in some sort of afterlife, but could Katherine be the one in this other side?
Will Bonnie wind up in the afterlife with Enzo, or will she rise like a phoenix from the ashes to help in the battle to save Mystic Falls?...

Could Bonnie Bennett be dead?
That was a key question on The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 15 when the bell from hell apparently killed our favorite psychic/witch.
TV Fanatics Justin Carreiro, Mandy Treccia and Paul Dailly, discuss the wedding, Bonnie's fate and what's to come in the series finale.
What did you think of the Steroline wedding?
Justin: The design of the wedding and the hall looked beautiful. I liked all the lights at the party. Though, it felt a bit awkward and anticlimactic. I was expecting a grander ceremony and moment, but it seemed sweet.
Mandy: I loved it. They did a lovely job paying homage to their relationship. The friendship that slowly turned to love, or in Caroline's case, the unrequited crush, which turned to love. The ceremony was beautiful, but the dance they shared was even better. Dancing always been their thing.

What happens when Katherine Pierce gets wind of the love of her life marrying someone else?
A hellish, explosive and downright shocking wedding.
Yes, you guys, the Steroline June Wedding was the primary focus of The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 15 and, boy, it was it a fantastic hour of television.
Who knew Stefan and Caroline would be getting married under such dire circumstances? I mean, they've been to hell and back. (Not literally; that seems to be what it takes to become a Donovan these days.)
So much has happened between them. The odds were stacked against them from the start, but seeing them get their happy ending was a powerful moment for the series.
Let's talk about how stunning Candice King looked as a bride. Have a look...

Katherine Pierce is back, you guys!
That was confirmed on The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 14 in what turned out to be a crazy thrill ride that set the wheels in motion for what is sure to be a killer conclusion to this CW hit.
Let's talk about Kai first. He continued to be a delight. I laughed out loud at him singing karaoke. It was so ironic that he would be singing about knocking on heaven's door when that was exactly where he wanted to go.
If The Vampire Diaries Season 6 taught us anything, we should never trust Kai. It was a typical Kai move to make a deal with the devil to get what he wanted. He's been nothing but an opportunist since he first appeared.
His first death was not great, but Bonnie trapping him in a prison world was just gold.
The twins are going to prove integral to taking down Katherine.

Elena will rise on The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 16.
Aside from that, little is known about what will serve as the last-ever episode of the hit drama series.
There have been some rumblings that a major character will die as a result of a final battle with Cade.
However, we don't know who it will be right now.
The CW dropped a new teaser which finds Elena meeting Stefan when she awakens from her sleeping curse.
Could this mean Bonnie Bennett gets murdered? It would not be out of the realm of possibility.
That character has had so many bad things happen to her over the years, so killing her would be unsurprising.
In the teaser, Elena is shocked to be meeting with Stefan because she knew the only chance of her waking back up was when Bonnie died which should have been several years later.

Is everyone entitled to redemption?
That question was raised several times on The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 13 as Kai and Stefan sought redemption in their own ways.
Kai returned to cause more mischief, and despite what most of us thought, his appearance was not a result of Bonnie's sorrow creating that alternate dimension for Enzo (more on that in a little!).
The beauty of Chris Wood's return was that it was evident his appearance would be tied to the return of Elena. I loved that Matt's actions were the reason for Kai's return.
Just wait to see him try to twist that little nugget of truth and imply it was someone else's fault. Matt Donovan may be getting a lot more screen time this season, but he's also got this huge ego that makes him think he can do no wrong.

Well, that was quite the ride.
There was a lot going on during The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 12.
Seriously, if you blinked, you probably missed something.
Watching everything with Bonnie was just heartbreaking. I was so sure she had her magic back, but she had actually opened up a door to hell and Enzo was communicating with her.
It was about time Abby showed up to help Bon-Bon through a tough spot, but it's doubtful Bonnie will be able to get over Enzo's body being burnt.
For Bonnie, there was a real chance she could save Enzo. In reality, there was no chance, and that's what made it even sadder. She spent much of her life helping those around her, so she deserved a happy ending.
I can't be the only one who thought she and Matt were going to unite against the Salvatore brothers in the final moments of the hour.

Bonnie Bennett is the least fortunate character on The Vampire Diaries.
How so?
Everyone close to her either uses her for her magic, or they just die.
Seriously, it's getting beyond a joke.
The latest tragedy for the character was the death of her beloved boyfriend, Enzo.
His death came around when she was trying to help her friends out. Yes, she still does that.
After all these years, Bonnie still puts her friends before herself and it's horrible to watch.
Remember you can watch The Vampire Diaries online if you want to relive any of these scenes.

Does Stefan deserve to die?
That's something our panelists think about after The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Episode 11, which featured the death of Enzo.
TV Fanatics Mandy Treccia, Justin Carreiro and Paul Dailly discuss Enzo's demise, Matt's rude comments and who else will fall before the series concludes.
What did you think of Enzo dying?
Mandy: I am devastated. But not surprised. As soon as they started his bucket list day, I assumed it would end this way. He deserved better.
Justin: My heart is broken. I didn’t want him to die. However, similar to what Mandy said, the second they were going through his bucket list, I figured a goodbye was a possibility.
Paul: Bonnie Bennett really has the worst luck, but I think her magic has returned and she'll find a way to get her happy ending. Whether that means creating an afterlife for her and Enzo, I have no idea.

Caroline Preece Aug 31, 2016
Not that anyone's asking, here's what Caroline would love to see in The Vampire Diaries' final run...
After being dogged by rumours for months, it was finally confirmed at San Diego Comic-Con that season eight of The Vampire Diaries would be its last. It's had a great run, especially for an old-fashioned series that exists on a network now almost entirely devoted to DC superheroes, and the fandom feels ready to say goodbye.
But final seasons of long-running shows are tricky. Old ideas can ruin series that have evolved, and new ideas can seem thrown together without an eye on a show's history. Too many shows have gone out on a bad note, but there's every chance that The Vampire Diaries can sidestep some of those problems and finish at its best.
Here are my ten wishes for the show's final run:
