The Association of Film Commissioners International (Afci) has named the new members and officers of its 2024 board of directors with Marnie Gee of Creative BC (British Columbia) elected chairperson.

Bas van der Ree has been elected chairman of the Association of Film Commissioners International, becoming the first European to chair the organization in more than a decade. Van der Ree, who has been the Netherlands Film Commissioner since 2014 when the nation’s film production incentive was launched, previously served as Afci’s 1st vice chair.
He will lead what Afci describes as its “most geographically and culturally diverse board to date,” as well as the first female majority board – eight of 11 members – in its history. .Do you guys even bother watching the weather report up there with your balmy winter sunsets? It.s bloody freezing here in Melbourne,. Curry said.
.Coincidently, Matt, Kier and I are very excited to be involved in these workshops helping young and emerging filmmakers develop their skills and build confidence in their craft.
.To be honest I.m probably not going to be much help, but the rest of the panel really know their stuff so it should be a great opportunity for anyone interested in filmmaking to come along and pick their collective brains.
