- Songwriter ("I Love You Truly", "A Perfect Day"), composer, author and publisher who sang at the White House for President Theodore Roosevelt. She formed The Bond Shop in 1894 to publish her music. She appeared in vaudeville, and gave concerts in Army Camps during WW I. In 1941, she was selected by the General Federation of Women Composers as one of two composers who represented the progress of women over the previous half-century. Her autobiography is titled "The Roads of Melody".
