Is there life after death? TNT's new drama Proof, starring Jennifer Beals, investigates...
News
2015 is now set to welcome Proof, a newly commissioned ten-part drama about a brilliant surgeon tasked with investigating supernatural phenomena surrounding death.
A similar pilot of the same name, written by M. Night Shyamalan and Marti Noxon, was in development at Syfy a couple of years ago, but failed to make it to series. TNT has picked up this version written by Rob Bragin (Greek, Murphy Brown) and starring Jennifer Beals as Dr Carolyn Tyler, a surgeon charged by a cancer-stricken millionaire to find out what happens when we die.
Dr Tyler, as you might expect, has her own reasons for investigating the possibility of life after death, and the series will see her tackle concepts of reincarnation, hauntings, out-of-body experiences and the like. More news as it arrives.

As we already knew, TNT's Kyra Sedgwick-produced "Proof" will star Jennifer Beals as Dr. Kathryn Russo, a skeptical, hard-science, brilliant female surgeon with a caustic edge who has been struggling with the devastating loss of her teenage son and a growing estrangement from her surviving daughter.

Per TV Guide, Morton ("Scandal," "Eureka," "The Good Wife") will play Dr. Charles Russell, the serious, dry, and intimidating head of Kathryn's hospital,...

Another horror-themed TV show was just given a pilot order, this time on TNT, which is re-teaming with its "The Closer" star Kyra Sedgwick on a supernatural medical drama called "Proof."
But this time it looks like Sedgwick, who also exec produced "The Closer," is staying strictly behind the camera.
Per Deadline, the pilot is being written by Rob Bragin ("Greek"), who will executive produce with Sedgwick; her manager, Jill Littman; and producer Tom Jacobson (Ladykillers). There are no plans for Sedgwick to star.

In the latest round of script sales, ABC has nabbed a high-concept light drama from No Ordinary Family co-creator/executive producer Jon Feldman. Described as Moonlighting meets Early Edition, the project centers on a charming ex-con (think George Clooney in Ocean’s Eleven) who realizes that he’s receiving video links to the news reports of the beautiful, ambitious TV crime reporter who once upon a time put him away. The only catch: he’s getting her news stories before she actually films them, giving this unlikely duo 24 hours to prevent the crimes from taking place. Feldman is writing the script and is executive producing with fellow No Ordinary Family executive producer Bob Sertner for ABC Studios where the two are based with overall deals. Through his deal at CBS TV Studios, Samuel L. Jackson has sold a legal show to CBS. Written by Rob Bragin (Greek), the untitled project...
