Pierce Brosnan might be best known for playing James Bond and singing in the "Mamma Mia" films, but perhaps the most important role he's played is father to his five kids. And it seems like his offspring are following in his suave footsteps. His two sons, Dylan and Paris Brosnan (who he shares with his second wife Keely Shaye Smith), have become his frequent red carpet companions, including at the 2020 Golden Globes. They most recently stepped out with Brosnan for the premiere of "The Out-Laws" in Los Angeles on June 26.
Prior to that, the Brosnan men rocked up at the Vanity Fair and TikTok: A Night for Young Hollywood party on March 8 in LA looking as dapper as their 70-year-old father. For that event, Dylan, 26, was photographed wearing a plaid suit with a white shirt alongside girlfriend Avery Wheless. Meanwhile, Paris, 22, was suited and booted next to his girlfriend, Alex-Lee Aillon.

Like so many other celebrities, Pierce Brosnan and his family are vacationing in Europe this summer. On June 2, he and his 22-year-old son, Paris Brosnan, shared two photos from their trip to Italy on Instagram, and the father-son duo look like twins.
In the first snap, Pierce grins at the camera as his son looks off to the side. Then, in the second snap, he places his hand on Paris's chest as they both smile at one another with the Ponte Vecchio bridge in the background. "Papa and Paris, Florence, Ponte Vecchio," the pair captioned their joint post.
Paris is Pierce's youngest son. He and his wife, Keely Shaye Smith, also share 26-year-old Dylan. In May, the proud dad celebrated Paris's graduation from college with a sweet message on Instagram. "Dearest Paris, Heartfelt congratulations on your graduation from...

"...when first daughter 'Alice Reynolds' is kidnapped on her 18th birthday from a New York nightclub, the 'White House' initiates emergency protocols.
"But as the kidnappers hunker down in an underground parking garage for the long haul, questions are raised.

"Can't go around kicking in doors." Lionsgate has released the first trailer for an action thriller titled Acts of Violence, yet another instantly-forgettable B-movie from nowhere starring the formerly-great Bruce Willis. In this one, Willis plays a cop investigating human trafficking and fighting a corrupted bureaucracy. The plot focuses on three Midwestern brothers, a crime lord, and Willis' cop, who are all on a deadly collision course when the youngest brother’s fiancée is kidnapped by human traffickers. So they make it a mission to save her, and of course there's plenty of guns and explosions. The cast includes Cole Hauser, Shawn Ashmore, Ashton Holmes, Melissa Bolona, Sean Brosnan, and Sophia Bush. I'm really so tired of these kind of mediocre, excessively bland action films that are a dime a dozen nowadays. Have fun. Here's the first official trailer for Brett Donowho's Acts of Violence, direct from YouTube: When...

Pierce Brosnan‘s personal tragedies have permanently influenced his outlook on life.
The actor, who grew up in Ireland, lost his first wife Cassandra to ovarian cancer in 1991. In 2013, 22 years later, the same disease took his daughter Charlotte. So when it comes to his outlook on life, the actor admits he’s not one to always look for the positive.
“I don’t look at the cup as half full, believe me,” Brosnan, 63, tells Esquire. “The dark, melancholy Irish black dog sits beside me from time to time.”

Asher has been waiting years to get revenge on the man who killed his brother. It won’t be an easy task, though, because this man is a force of nature. This man is as relentless as he is ruthless. This man is Asher’s father, and you can watch him pursue his son in a rage-filled road chase in our exclusive clip from My Father Die.
Synopsis: “Deaf and mute since having his hearing knocked out at the age of 12, Asher (Anderson) has been training for almost two decades to avenge himself on Ivan (Stretch), the man that killed his older brother, 21 years ago. And now that his nemesis is out of prison, he may get his chance. But Asher’s target also happens to be his father.”

Southern Gothic tales don’t get any swampier than Sean Brosnan’s debut feature about a deaf-mute young man intent on exacting violent revenge on his abusive father. Visually stunning but strained by pretentious poeticism and a simplistic storyline, My Father Die is ultimately as labored as its ungrammatical title.
The black & white prologue sets up the story, depicting the loving bond between teenage Chester and his younger brother Asher. Chester decides to initiate his sibling into the joys of copulation by introducing him to Nana, a willing young neighbor. But before the deed can be consummated their father Ivan (Gary...

My Father Die is an angry little debut for Sean Brosnan, and thankfully for papa Pierce Brosnan, not with biographical intent. It’s true that Brosnan keeps revenge in the family, but only by way of fictional bayou country folks. Pierce is safe from Sean’s bullet-ridden bite of familial revenge, unlike some characters who find themselves caught between not-so-friendly fire and the struggles of living up to (or denouncing) parental pedestals. It’s pulpy, fur-wearing, country fried fury, following a darker path that’s guided by stellar direction from the man with the golden camera. It’s not perfect, but stylish and provocative enough to erase any notion that “first-timer” is synonymous with “amateur.”
Joe Anderson stars as present-day Asher, who we first meet as a young boy (played by Gabe White). Currently, he’s a deaf adult who takes care of his mother, but in the opening flashback,...

The new location of FrightFest, in Shepherd's Bush's Vue Cinema, was marked with some novel horror films. 'My Father Die' (director Sean Brosnan) starts with a grainy black and white flashback of two brothers growing up in swampy Booniesville. As the elder sibling (Chester) starts to make out with his girlfriend, the younger (Asher) watches out for any intruders. The boys' father arrives and after biting a chunk out of Chester's face proceeds to beat him to death in front of Asher. Fast forward two decades to the adult Asher, now mute after this trauma, living in the beautifully-shot swamp (blood red sunsets reflected in the lake) shooting alligators before returning home to take care of his now elderly and bed bound mother, in a 'Deliverance'-style shack, with his murderous father safely in jail....

★★★★☆ Revenge is a dish best served over several courses in Sean Brosnan's brutal redneck noir tale My Father, Die. Full of Old Testament values and punishing degradation, it pits a father and son against each other in skirmishes that go well beyond traditional family rows into the realm of pure Freudian nightmare. Brosnan dedicates the film to the controversial Irish playwright and poet J.M. Synge, whose famous play The Playboy of the Western World is - like Brosnan's directorial debut - themed around patricide.

FrightFest 2016, the UK's premier horror film festival, runs over the forthcoming August Bank Holiday weekend. With over sixty movies set to screen, plus their short films showcase, Andy Nyman's very popular quiz and several industry-related talks and events, FrightFest continues to expand its brand and deliver a varied selection of titles from across the globe. The anointed one (this year's opener) is Sean Brosnan's southern Gothic thriller My Father, Die. Starring Brit actor Joe Anderson (The Ruins, The Crazies), it's sure to be a damn sight better than 2015's Cherry Tree. Also up to bat on opening night, after My Father, Die, is the latest Stephen King adaptation, Cell, starring John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson. The Hollywood stars reunite after 2007's devilishly good 1408, also a King adaptation.

"They are both open-minded about what might happen in the future," the source adds. That has led to speculation that they may, in some way, be following the route of Beatrice's cousin Prince William who split from the then Kate Middleton...

Stoner comedy Don Peyote tells the story Warren Allman, an unemployed graphic novelist who finally finds a purpose in life after an unpleasant encounter with a homeless man preaching the end is near. Fueled by vivid apocalyptic dreams, Warren becomes obsessed with 2012 doomsday theories and decides to make a documentary on the subject while his fiance is busy planning their wedding.
Seemingly a labour of love for co-writer, co-director and star Dan Fogler, Don Peyote plays out like a wannabe Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, only without any of the style and visual flare of Terry Gilliam. WikiLeaks founder could follow example of Iranian film-maker Jafar Panahi by making video-link appearance
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is to join the jury for this year's Raindance film festival. Raindance revealed the high-profile addition on Twitter.
Assange remains at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where he has claimed political asylum since last summer in order to avoid extradition to Sweden, where he is wanted for questioning over rape and sexual assault allegations.
His lawyer has argued his client would not receive a fair trial, while Assange fears he could face onward extradition to the Us in relation to WikiLeaks' disclosure of a huge trove of classified Us military and diplomatic documents.
Raindance, billed as Europe's largest festival of independent film-making, will being screening Mediastan, a documentary produced by Assange. Founder Elliot Grove said it was Assange's experience in online journalism that attracted them to the idea of having him on the jury.

If writer/director Dominic Burns’ “Alien Uprising” sounds familiar, then it’s probably because you heard about the flick when it was called “UFO.” Since that sort of title doesn’t really fly in the North American market — plus it knocks you to the back of the Netflix and Redbox — the film is now known as “Alien Uprising.” Thankfully, it retains the cameo from Jean-Claude Van Damme, which is the only reason it’s getting covered here today.
