Earlier, Leguizamo told a reporter that he “definitely” would be hitting the campaign trail for Joe Biden in 2024.
Asked about Biden’s outreach to Latino voters, Leguizamo said, “I think he’s doing the right things, which is getting Latin consulatns and talking to Latin experts who tell him how to address us, and make the effort. If you make the effort, we will be there, but you have to make the effort. I think he’s doing all that — him and Kamala Harris as well.”

May December director Todd Haynes said of first reading Samy Burch’s script, “I loved how disquieting it was for the reader and thought, ‘Wow, if there was a way to convey this on screen and ignite that sense of engaged questioning and uncertainty’… It reminded me of the kind of movies that I came of age watching. It made you question your assumptions going in, made you want to discuss them and think about them later.” Haynes was speaking at Deadline’s Contenders London event this afternoon.
Starring Natalie Portman, Julianne Moore and Charles Melton, the film picks up 20 years after an affair between Gracie (Moore), an adult woman and a much – much – younger man (Melton) made tabloid headlines. In the present day, famous TV star Elizabeth (Portman) visits the now-married couple while researching a film that will be based on the old scandal.

Game shows have been a staple of the world's television-viewing diet since the medium's infancy. "Spelling Bee" first hit the British telly in 1938, while "Truth or Consequences" made a one-off debut on New York City's Wnbt in 1941. Our fascination with smarty pants contestants flaunting their vast trivia knowledge brought us the high-stakes duo of NBC's "Twenty-One" and CBS' "The 64,000 Question," which led to the 1950s quiz show scandals.
Over a half-century later, we're still hooked on programs like "Jeopardy," "Wheel of Fortune" and "The Price Is Right." Some of these shows require contestants to be genuinely well-read; others ask people to be semi-knowledgeable about retail value and physically capable of spinning a big wheel. Regardless of the skill (or utter lack thereof) involved, there is something undeniably thrilling about watching a regular working stiff go on live television and win a decent chunk of change. Netflix has acquired Todd Haynes’ Cannes Film Festival competition entry May December, which made an impression on the Croisette, earning a six-minute standing ovation during its Saturday evening premiere.
The film stars Natalie Portman as a Hollywood actress who travels to Georgia to research the life of Gracie (Julianne Moore, teaming with Haynes for the fourth time), who became tabloid fodder after she started a May-December relationship with Joe (Charles Melton), a man 23 years her junior. While preparing for the film about the couple’s past, Elizabeth observes Gracie and Joe’s marriage 20 years after their relationship was national news, a time when they are about to become empty nesters.
The Hollywood Reporter‘s review called May December “a complex drama that’s intrinsically intimate and yet also detached, at times almost clinical.”
Haynes told THR that the screenplay for the movie came to him “from Natalie and her producing team” during the Covid pandemic.

Ben Platt, Molly Gordon and Amy Sedaris have signed up to lead the cast of “Theater Camp,” a feature adaptation of Nick Lieberman’s 2020 short film of the same name.
“Booksmart” and “Shiva Baby” star Gordon will make her directorial debut alongside Lieberman, who has helmed a number of video shorts and music videos for Platt, the award-winning star of “Dear Evan Hansen.” Gordon, Lieberman, Platt and co-star Noah Galvin (“Booksmart”), who wrote the short film together, will write the screenplay. The foursome will partner with composer Mark Sonnenblick on original music.
Set in upstate New York, the film revolves around the eccentric staff of a rundown theater camp that threatens to fall apart when its beloved founder falls into a coma right before the start of the summer session. In order to save the camp, they must work together with her bro-y son.

Updated: A lawyer representing Fox Sports and the new United States Football League has responded to a lawsuit filed yesterday by an organization of owners and executives from the original, 1980s-era Usfl.
David Bernstein of Debevoise & Plimpton, counsel to Fox Sports and Usfl Enterprises, said in a statement:
The lawsuit filed yesterday by an entity formed just a week ago is completely without merit. The new Usfl registered its intellectual property rights in 2011 and is excited to launch games on schedule on April 16. The eleventh-hour attempt to extract value from the exciting new Usfl is utterly frivolous, and we are exploring all options for redress.
Nicholas Matich, an attorney representing the organization of former Usfl owners and executives mainatined yesterday that “Fox is trying to reap where it did not sow and profit from confusion among fans of the real Usfl, by claiming the legacy of something it didn’t build.

“Marry Me,” the romantic comedy starring Jennifer Lopez, Owen Wilson and Latin pop star Maluma, has been bumped from its Valentine’s Day release to the summer of 2021.
“Marry Me” will hit theaters May 14, 2021, after first being slated for February 12. And it will take the place of “Spirit Untamed,” an animated follow-up to the horse family movie “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.” That film is now moving back a month and will open in theaters June 4, 2021.
While it’s not necessarily a sign of things to come, it is an instance of a studio moving a theatrical release not just out of Q4 of 2020 but even out of the first quarter of next year as well. Though on that weekend in February alone, studios are also releasing Paramount’s “The United States vs. Billie Holiday,” Sony Pictures Classics’ “French Exit” and 20th Century Studios’ “The King’s Man.”

Universal Pictures’ Jennifer Lopez music fueled romantic comedy Marry Me is moving from Presidents Day-Valentine’s Day weekend on the theatrical release calendar next year, Feb. 12 and going to May 14, 2021.
Marry Me will take the place of DreamWorks Animation’s Untitled Spirit Riding Free movie which has now been title Spirit Untamed. That animated pic will now open on June 4, 2021.
This is one of Lopez and Wilson’s highest tested features, I hear, and Universal wants to make an event out of this, at an opportune time on the calendar.
Still, with Wonder Woman 1984 expected to move, and the holiday release schedule in meltdown as we wait out the coronavirus, we can expect more 1Q 2021 theatrical releases to further shift in the future.
Marry Me leaves behind a weekend that has Disney/20th Century Studios’ The King’s Man prequel and Paramount’s untitled Lee Daniels’ Billie Holiday movie on Feb.

Screenwriter William Monahan, who won an Oscar for writing “The Departed,” is also in talks rewrite the script. Terry Winter and Regina Corrado initially wrote the first draft. “The Godmother” would be the third project between Lopez and STXfilms following 2018’s “Second Act” and “Hustlers.”
