A.J. Brown is one of the best wide receivers in the National Football League today. But he excelled in a few other sports as well. In high school, he also played baseball. Brown was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 19th round of the 2016 Major League Baseball Draft. He signed with the team which prevented him from playing baseball for the University of Mississippi, however, he was still eligible to play football.
He was a star wideout for Ole Miss throughout college and following the 2018 season, the athlete announced that he would forgo his senior year and enter the 2019 NFL Draft. He was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the second round. In a shocking move, the team traded him to the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2022 off-season and he’s been flying high with the Birds ever since.

Arthur Brown is most known as the lead singer of The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. He became known for his over-the-top performance style which inspired many shock rockers and art rockers who came after him. One of his trademarks was a pyrotechnic helmet.
During a 1968 interview with Rolling Stone, Townshend was asked which group he enjoyed the most. “Arthur Brown I think is an incredible show,” he said. “What I dig in a performance, in an event, is essentially to be communicated to, to feel part of an audience. I always feel like an audience because I...

The Beatles’ “Hey Jude” charted at the same time as a song by an important shock-rock musician. Years later, the shock-rocker remembered “Hey Jude” blocking his signature song from reaching No. 1. “Hey Jude” was No. 1 in the United States for a whopping nine weeks.
The Beatles‘ “Hey Jude” was so huge it overshadowed almost all the other songs from the 1960s. For example, it stopped a famous classic rock song from hitting No. 1. The tune wouldn’t have been a hit without the aid of Jimi Hendrix.

Sometimes the relationships we try to hold onto the most hold us back forever in the worst possible way, and it isn’t until we recognize that and decide to unshackle ourselves that we can truly be free. In this episode of CW’s Gotham Knights, the amateur crimefighters deal with some personal demons and past traumas by reevaluating their relationship with their respective parental figures, and while that may be liberating to some, others get even more entrapped in their deplorable existence.
In the previous episode, Rebecca March was revealed to be the true leader of the Court of Owls all along, as she murdered her own son, Brody, after knowing that he had learned too much about the Court from Stephanie Brown. The March couple contemplates tying up loose ends by taking care of Stephanie, and unbeknownst to Rebecca, Lincoln resurrects his dead son using the Electrum. Meanwhile,...

The eponymous amateur team of crimefighters gets into serious trouble in the eighth episode of the CW’s Gotham Knights, as Turner gets in over his head and goes on a suicide mission to take on the villainous secret society Court of Owls by himself. In the previous episode, we saw the team strike a bargain with the Court by rescuing Detective Green’s family in exchange for a particular artwork that belonged to Thomas Wayne, and later it was revealed that the artwork was concealing a map that was of seminal importance to the Court. Duela worked with Carrie to extract information about the Talon from Eunice Harmon, and they accidentally came across a stash of old photographs of members of the Court joining in secret meetings. Cressida, the Wayne housekeeper whose betrayal was the reason for Bruce’s death, had approached Harvey to seek help, and as the latter hesitated,...

More often than not, the privileged ones of societal hierarchy use their nefarious instruments to keep their status quo intact and to do so, they incriminate the hapless downtrodden ones. The sixth episode of the CW’s Gotham Knights reflects on that aspect, as the titular team of amateur crime fighters learn that they weren’t the only victims of the Court of Owl’s conspiracies. In the previous episode, we saw Harvey Dent gradually sinking inside the quicksand of the Court’s schemes, and the team recovered the ledgers of the McKillen crime family, which can help them prove the Court’s involvement in Gotham’s corruption as well as clear their names in the process.

The Beatles have hundreds of fascinating stories involving how they recorded their music. The band had many innovative recording techniques but also did some weird tricks to boost the studio’s atmosphere. During a recording session for one of The Beatles’ more hardcore songs, George Harrison started a fire and ran around the room.

“Helter Skelter” is one of the most hardcore songs by The Beatles. Many consider this song from The White Album to be one of the earliest examples of heavy metal. However, it was a change of pace for The Beatles, who often made calmer and lighter rock music. In an interview with GQ, Paul McCartney said he made “Helter Skelter” after reading comments by Pete Townshend of The Who.

With its second outing, The CW’s Gotham Knights deepened its central mystery, strengthened its core dynamics, and ended on a terrifying run-in with the murderous Talon.
In “Scene of the Crime,” while Harvey and the police impound the contents of the Bat-cave, Turner and the others stock up on “necessities” at a department store. Turner insists that these are just “loans,” a notion Duela immediately rejects. But before the argument can get too heated, police sirens force the group out of the store and into a nearby alley, where Carrie Kelly confronts them in her Robin get-up. [Cue the opening title card.]

The CW’s Gotham Knights has cast a pair of key recurring roles, with Ethan Embry and Sunny Mabrey joining the DC Comics drama.
The real-life married couple will play husband and wife on the series as well, with Mabrey debuting as Crystal Brown in the show’s fifth episode and Embry first appearing in episode six as Arthur Brown. In the comics, Arthur Brown is the alter ego of Batman villain Cluemaster.
“We were blown away by Sunny’s audition for Gotham Knights. It was immediately clear she had the expansive emotional range needed to play this deeply polarizing character,” series creators Chad Fiveash, James Stoteraux and Natalie Abrams said in a statement. “And then we were delighted to discover that Sunny’s husband is an actor who has many fans among our cast, crew and writers. Ethan’s brought Arthur to life in such rich, delightfully disturbing ways.

Once Upon a Time stars Ethan Embry and Sunny Mabrey are set to recur in Season 1 of The CW‘s upcoming series Gotham Knights.
Mabrey will make her first appearance in Episode 5 as Crystal Brown. Elegant and eye-catching, as the wife of a local celebrity, Crystal exudes a natural, camera-ready charisma. However, to those closest to her, Crystal runs warm as sunshine one minute, and brutally ice cold the next, because she’s battling a secret addiction that could ruin the lives of her entire family.
Embry will debut in Episode 6 as Arthur Brown. The meticulous and eccentric host of a Jeopardy-like game show, Arthur is always the smartest person in the room — and he knows it. On the surface, he’s charming and perfectly coiffed, with high expectations for his daughter, the only person who comes close to matching his intellect. But a dark side lurks beneath the surface,...

Jeff Beck played his first gigs on a guitar he built himself, plugging in with local bands in the London suburbs from age 13, before honing his craft at Wimbledon School of Art, studying the artistry of rock and roll and rhythm and blues. Beck mixed the virtuosity and speed Les Paul displayed on radio broadcasts, and the heaviness of even the most melodic Gene Vincent records into his own sound. Beck transformed The Yardbirds from blues purists to proto psychedelia pioneers before inventing hard rock on The Jeff Beck Group’s 1968 Truth album. A new Jeff Beck Group came out with Rough and Ready, infusing fluid jazz phrasings onto R&b ensemble rhythms.
It’s been said Pink Floyd considered asking Beck to join after Syd Barrett left. Beck turned down an invitation to replace Brian Jones in the Rolling Stones for a project with Vanilla Fudge bassist and vocalist Tim Bogert,...

Nancy Carol Lewis Jones, a publicist for groundbreaking classic rock acts The Who, Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones and Joe Cocker before becoming Monty Python’s American manager during the group’s film heyday of Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Life of Brian, died December 20, 2019 in New York City after a short illness.
Her death was announced by New York theatrical publicist Adrian Bryan-Brown.
Raised in Detroit by a religiously strict father – he burned her record collection after she sneaked out of the house to watch Elvis Presley’s Ed Sullivan appearance on a friend’s television – Jones became enamored of the British Invasion music scene after reviewing The Dave Clark Five for her college newspaper.
After landing a post-college job at a London music magazine, Jones was approached by the now-legendary Chris Stamp and Kit Lambert, co-managers of The Who, and hired as director of public relations...

Bassist Alan Davey joined space rockers Hawkwind in 1984 — more than a decade before Post Malone was born — but he felt such a kinship with the pop star’s Number One hit “Circles” that he decided to redo it with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee Todd Rundgren. Violinist L. Shankar also sits in.
Davey’s version, an instrumental, is naturally trippier and more psychedelic than Post’s, with Shankar taking the lead on most of the song before Rundgren plays a freewheeling solo toward the end. The one-off track is credited to Hawkestrel,...

And now for yet another documentary feature set in the world of art. Nope, we’re not following another globe-trotting photo-journalist. This is in the world of music, rock n’ roll, to be precise. We’re heading back over fifty years, when the Beatles ruled the pop charts. Seems that another quartet were becoming pop icons beside the “fab four”. As the years have passed, both groups have been whittled down to duos. I’m referring to The Who, but this film’s title doesn’t profile anybody at the footlights, smashing up their instruments. No, it’s about the unlikely pair behind the pandemonium. They might sound like an old vaudeville team to rival Bud and Lou, but those rock standards might never have become a part of our lives without Lambert & Stamp.
