Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Nadia Bruce lived there till the age of 7 when her oil-industry parents traveled to Dallas, then Cairo, Egypt, then Stavanger, Norway and then back to the USA. Nadia went to college at the University of Colorado in Boulder and then moved to Los Angeles where she stumbled into the film industry.
Working at Shapiro Glickenhaus Entertainment (SGE) for 8 years gave her a solid start. She then went on to work at such prestigious companies as Franchise International, Gold Circle International, Initial Entertainment (later known as GK Films, the academy award winning company run by Graham King), amongst others. At all of these companies she was VP of Business Affairs, handling international license agreements and loan closings. Later, she became the Sales Representative for the SGE library, which was remastered into HD and gained cult status.
In 1999, her daughter Sophia Bruce (seen in the film "Submerged") was born. In 2011, Nadia married her long-lost sweet heart, Brian Rawlings, and they moved to Nashville, Tennessee with their 5 children. She continues to handle independent films as a worldwide sales agent, including "Falls the Shadow," "Worm," and "Cecil." In addition, Ms. Bruce has written the book, "Scars: Prose and Poetry," published in 2014 by Punk Hostage Press. She also co-authored and edited the book "The Untold, In-Depth, Outrageously True Story of Shapiro Glickenhaus Entertainment," published in 2017, and is the editor of the book "Rambling Across America: The Tale of One Country Boy's Unstoppable Dream," by Tommy Ray.
